1. TOP are not the aggressors here. CnG would have been entering this war. TOP simply eliminated the middleman. This is the same war as the last one. Polar just bailed.
    2. Viceroys I do not believe are illegal in and of themselves. Merely demanding control of a forum that is.
That would be correct.

  2. While I'm not in NSO anymore, I have to wonder Daikos: Why aren't you attacking NSO? I mean really, wtf?

You guys !@#$%*ed on NSO so damn much and now that you have your chance at finally rolling them, you're just going to let it pass you by? It's not like it would even take much...hell NSO only has a few warslots left by now so it's not like it would be a big commitment for you to back up all your trash talk.

I understand that, but calling them cowards because they haven't done so makes no sense.
It kinda does considering DF has entered virtually every NSO topic to antagonize a fight with them and, now that they have their big chance to put their money where their mouth's have been, they decided not to attack NSO. For most alliances I would agree with you, but DF is an exception, because they've gone out of their way to try and get a fight out of NSO.

  4. @Mack Truck - The reason NSO members are raising such a big stink about this is because of all the smacktalk that has come from DF, and over such a long time. Sure, mathematically DF might be taking on a bigger opponent, but after all the crap that DF piled on NSO, you'd think they'd want to drive in the hammer themselves.

  5. If you don't like Athens that much, why in hell are you treatied to Vanguard and MK then? If I hated a MADP partner of someone I wanted to ally, I wouldn't ally that person.

Could just be that STA bases its friendship on the experiences that they have had with Vanguard/MK, rather than on MK's/Vanguards treaties.

  6. The #1 spot is cursed. It's common knowledge NPO actually directed the Karma war to bring us a few spots to rid ourselves of the curse. We've calculated the exact amount of stuff we need to buy after terms to remain .01 score below whoever is #1 then and keep at the same spot until they get beat down (inevitable: curse) in which case we join their side and get beat down along with them and declare peace when we're 0.01 below the new #1.

Damn it, I hate it when I open my mouth and reveal all our plans. :(

Though actually related to the OP: Curse you MHA!

Well, it looks like we're going back to the drawing board. ^_^

  7. Well this has been cute. It's good to know we all can figure out how to get to a nations screen.

Well, to be fair, he hasn't admitted it in public ... yet.

Indeed. Just don't hold your breath for that to happen: it takes a while to ZI someone and keep them there long enough for them to get tired of the game.

  8. I came across this little gem from Van Hoo a while ago, when he decided to trash on ADI in a recent thread:

We do not practice PZI. That was abolished nearly two years ago.

Sounds good to me. After all, PZI was kicked a while ago, right? Well, maybe not entirely...

We will, however, wreck your nation repeatedly until you understand the consequences of what you have done.

Apparently wrecking a nation repeatedly until you get your way isn't PZI nowadays. It's just teaching a moral lesson.

Take from that encounter what you will, but it got me back to thinking about some of Hoo's other comments, particularly these ones that he made when he was trying to soften the PR blow from some leaked logs:

[19:19:54] VanHooIII[RoK]But IRON, CDT, and TPF are from a different era ... an era of NPO rule that theymiss

[19:20:09] VanHooIII[RoK]They are a group of toadies who gained power by sucking up to the NPO

[19:20:21] VanHooIII[RoK]With the NPO gone, they are suffering for past sins

[19:20:33] VanHooIII[RoK]And have no learned that this is a new world and their ways no longer fly

    [19:20:59] VanHooIII[RoK]not*

[19:21:38] VanHooIII[RoK] and they need to leave the game

The last line of these logs, if you take Hoo's account at face value, were maliciously "faked". Yet they seem to indicate precisely what Hoo is on about now: forcing people out of the game.

Call me a cynic, but it sure seems like Hoo is falling into a bit of a pattern here.

  9. If this isn't a joke thread - I notice no Cortath signature and the general way things are phrased makes me question it - then I must say I'm surprised. If it is a serious announcement this may hurt you in the long run should you desire a switch back to involvement. Those you will recruit while under the DoN will likely leave you in a position where your stats are inflated above what member involvement you will receive in peace and war.

Expect us to move AA's to the Neutral Pacific Order tonight at update.

  10. Well, because if I meant PZI the I would have just said PZI. I honestly don't care what popular opinion is nor do I let it influence RoK policy. We decided to abolish the act of PZI because we do not believe in it.

I have no interest in chasing Warbuck out of the game, but I have an interest in attacking him (yes repeatedly *GASP!*) as a consequence for his actions.

PZI doesn't have to be about forcing someone out of the game. It's just about making it miserable enough for them not to want to play anymore and that's exactly what you're proposing.

  11. I know you're trying extra hard to make your mark here, so I will explain this to you so you don't look worse than you already do. Wrecking someone's nation repeatedly is not PZI. It is something that happens in war ... and that something you will learn.

War without chance of peace with constant "wrecking". How is this not PZI? Do you think that by saying "wrecking" you've made your comment suffeciently vague enough to disguise your real intentions? Because let me assure that if that was your intent, no one with so much as an iota of intelligence will buy into that.

  12. We do not practice PZI. That was abolished nearly two years ago. You should probably have a better grasp of the history and practices of an alliance before posting and attempting to get into any sort of debate with them.

Ok. Call it by another name. Constantly destroying a nation amounts to the same damn thing as PZI, no two ways about it.

  13. Warbuck, we're going to attack you for what you've done ... OK? Just shutup and get rolled when it happens.

Also, I know that's the speech you feed your membership because they don't know better ... but it needs work. We have no interest in removing you from the game no matter how low you are. We will, however, wreck your nation repeatedly until you understand the consequences of what you have done.

Go be a good leader and prep your alliance.

How lenient. PZI until you bow before Van Hoo!

  14. Thing was, it wasent optional as it wasent aggressive. But hey, we all know the story, after all you made such a lengthy post about it, as you decided what was aggression and what was defense. All this announcement is showing is that your willing to bandwagon >_>

What I do find funny, is that ADI is saying the moves by invicta and FEAR are just and non-aggressive.

I see you've been taught how to read. Congradulations. Apparently comprehension wasn't taught though. :(

If anything, this announcement says the exact opposite. It specifically states that ADI will enter into the fray if their allies request their assistance, which by every definition, is the exact opposite of bandwaggoning.

  15. Our Stance

ADI is a humble alliance in the grand scheme.  We are not comprised of a overly large amount of members.  We contribute just over 1.1 Million total strength.  We may not be looked upon as anything special, but we have resolve and a definiteness of purpose.  We pride ourselves on our ideals, and we know that the community we possess outweighs any material possessions that we hold.  We are not afraid of any foreign threat, as we know that of the things that can be destroyed, our bonds with each other are not one of them.

The Aqua Defense Initiative has good friends that are in this conflict, or that are predicted to be involved.  Namely, Invicta, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and the Fellowship of Elite Allied Republics.  These alliances have been forthcoming in their requests of ADI, and have presented things the way that they truly are.  Polaris has launched an offensive against \m/, and their allies have chosen to help them.  The Aqua Defense Initiative is being asked to support the aggressor's side of this conflict.

ADI will grant the requests of their allies in NATO, Invicta and FEAR, and will provide public support, financial support, and military support if our allies choose to call on us.  We will wait on our allies to call upon us when we are needed, and we will respond to their call.  Regardless of anything, we will fight valiantly for what we believe in- win, lose, or tie.  We also wish all the alliances involved in this conflict the best of luck.  You are defending your friends, and that cannot be held against you, regardless of whether ADI agrees with your position or not.

Classy as usual, although I can hardly say I expected anything less.  :awesome:

    o/ ADI
