1. Our circle has been decimated by inactivity of the permanent kind. We have:

    Sugar

    Water

    Fish

    Lumber

    Uranium

    Wheat

    We need:

    Iron

    Spices

    Aluminum

    Marble

    Cattle

    Pigs

Permanent trades would be best - the three of us that remain have been together for a year or three - but a temporary trade to get a better tax collection would at least give us another 20 days to find permanent members. PM me if you are interested.

    Thanks!

  2. Did someone say they needed gun porn?

Here's to another five years and more!

  3. The aluminum/uranium trade in my trade circle is unreliable and has not accepted trade agreements from all the other members of the circle, so I would like to offer $1 million to any nation with aluminum and uranium willing to join us (black is not necessary but it will help you if you switch). If you are interested, please let me know within the next two days, as our pigs/wheat trade will back out of the circle if he cannot find a reliable aluminum/uranium trade. Thanks!

  4. Our current aluminum/uranium trade partner isn't trading with everyone in the circle, so we're looking for either a aluminum/uranium or aluminum/coal trade as a replacement. Our current bonuses are beer, fast food, and construction; a coal trade would also give the steel bonus resource. I'm really bad at remembering to check the CN forums, so if you're interested please send me an in-game PM. This offer is open to anyone (as our aluminum/uranium trade is actually on maroon instead of black) but black is preferred for everyone's sake.

  5. I'm a new nation. I'm already in a tech deal so I'm at lv 105...so if you're interested let me know. B)

By virtue of checking my nation before the forums today I've found another seller but we might need you anyways; I'll let you know if something opens up in this deal or in the next one I organize. Thanks for replying!

  6. I've got a 3x3 tech deal that needs one more seller. Due to the long time we've been searching for one others already in the group may have their slots filled, so we might need more buyers or sellers (will determine that if the first seller is found).

    Buyers:

    -me (New Milwaukee)

    -Banedon (Etaru)

    -Voldorish (Jadesville)

    Sellers:

    -Sir Weenis (AMISH)

    -cizzle09 (Calihwii)

If you like money (to the tune of almost $6 million) and don't have a lot of tech, you've come to the right place. Post, PM, in-game PM...doesn't matter, I check all three.

  7. Anyone who wants to sell tech and make some money off of it, I have a deal for you. I've got three buyers (including myself) and two sellers all ready to go but we need one more seller to make it work. Most of us have voiced a desire to make this a semi-permanent partnership so if you are interested in having a long-term tech deal you've found the right place, though we won't turn someone away if they only want to make a one-time deal.

If you or someone you know is interested and has three open foreign aid slots please contact me via in-game PM or by posting in this topic A.S.A.P. We wish to get the deal started today, the 29th. Thanks!

  8. STA and NSO, by attacking Molon Labe, an ally of DOOM, brought it upon themselves. And Molon Labe brought it upon itself byattacking MK; who was at fault for attacking TPF, who was at fault for attacking whomever, who was at fault for attacking someone else, and etc. That's how world wars start and grow. The blame game that is going on in this thread is just sad and useless.

This. We're in the soup now, let's just take the fight to its logical conclusion.

Good luck to NpO, us, DOOM, MK, STA and NSO. When this is done everyone is invited for a barbecue at our place, BYOB.

Sort of like talking to a brick wall except with more acne. :P

I'm not 100% sure, but the youngest person in our alliance is probably around 20. No acne here. :) And no walls, after the nuking we've been getting. :P

(despite the arguing going back and forth in this thread I have always had a lot of respect for you, Sponge; if the post I quoted wasn't made in good fun - darn intertubes not allowing for sarcasm detection - please refrain from doing so again)

    VERY admirable, Molon Labe.

I love Polaris. They are STA's closest allies, and as such, I wish them the best of luck. That said, wow. You folks in Molon Labe impress me more and more each day.

    Thanks. :)

Oh man, I love the irony. The same people who loved to curb stomp...whining about being curbstomped. Mmm, so refreshing. :v:

Who are you talking to again? Was this supposed to go in an NPO thread? Go bug Pacifica with this crap, not us, they deserve it.

They can get out of the war whenever they want, we're not forcing them to stay in this war.

Sure, they can be honorable and just fight till their allies achieve peace and I'll respect them all the same for it, but trying to make it seem as if they have no say in when it will end is downright lying.

We're not saying that at all. We understand that ML and DOOM can hoist the white flags at any time and will receive excellent terms on account of our reasons for joining the fight. However, ML will not surrender unless TPF gets peace first - it's the reason we declared on MK in the first place and we won't put down the rifles until they are no longer fighting. DOOM will not stop fighting until ML stops, hence they will be in the war until TPF gets peace. We are going to continue fighting not because we don't think we'll get reasonable surrender terms, we are going to continue fighting because we choose to fulfill our treaty requirements until the end. I assume STA, NpO, and NSO are doing the same.

The point I believe my NSO friend is trying to make is that you and your allies unlike GATO in the GATO-1V war (for example) have a lot of control over when the war ends for you.

See my reply immediately above. :)

So I'm being subtly threatened because I tell you that I find the excessive repetition of the offer insulting.

You read the line that most fired you up and ignored the rest.

I thought you are better than that, WC.

Not cool. Zeke, sometimes it's better to hold your tongue and let your CMs and nukes do the talking. WC has been good to us in this war, don't go ruining that now with some needless invective.

  9. Are you sure that you have the slots to do so?

Being in nuke anarchy makes declaring wars tougher than normal. :)

NSO nations are actively fighting against targets that are actively fighting against STA. Therefore the protection of those nations is indeed directly related to the protection of STA nations. I realize this might differ from the viewpoint of many of you but since when have STA, NSO and the NpO come off as alliances that will not act in the best interests of their close friends despite what others may think?

It is ML's desire to do the same that has drawn the respect of their present day enemies. I understand why they might think what is being done is unjust. there are probably some others that are telling them that. All you are seeing is that the relations between us are greater then any peace of "paper" can portray. I would hope you guys will grow to understand and respect that. For now though I understand your frustration.

I not only understand but respect the "declare in support of allies" motivation. Heck, it's why we're all here in the first place. It's just still a hard pill to swallow to see 500 or 600 nations declare on a 20-man alliance, no matter the circumstances.

Too much arguing in here. The nation of Zessa will ship some cake to Polaris and hope this somehow helps.

Caek is fine, just not yellow cake. :)

Duplicate post from the ML DoW thread for clarity -

And so the Emperor returns to find us at war.

    1. ML, I don't have an agenda against you, do not make one. If you want to attack us that is fine, I completely understand your options and obligations. Just ensure you allow us to exit this war as quickly as we entered.

    2. DOOM, you can not dodge and weave who returns fire by e-lawyering what we can and can not do.

    3. KARMA, I still do not support your side in any way shape or form.

    4. Proko declared war in my absence, based on what he believed were good and valid orders. We are therefore at war, whether I would have done so had I been present or not.

    5. Be clear, I have no interest in doing anything other than assisting STA and NSO at this stage and if our job is done after one round of wars, expect us to quietly leave the said conflict. If you continue with the "bandwagonner excuse to get into the war'' line, I will not be impressed. I have a number of points of entry into this war, if I want to be a part of it, and to date I do not want to do so. Both sides are doing just fine on their own.

    6. If you want to e-lawyer stuff, don't bother with me in your calculations. I don't care what you think about our reasons, we have a debt to pay to our friends and so we shall, very symbolically, do so. Forget all the arguments over what treaty chains with which and all that crap, your obsession with purpose and justification befuddles me. The NSO/STA front got a new player in DOOM, Proko thought that we needed to assist to show we cared and so we declared on them. We have shown we care, so we can leave whenever you wish. Your surrender to their generous terms will be sufficient reason for us to end the war right now.

    7. To my friends and comrades on both sides of this shooting match, my position has not changed and it is unlikely to do so. I made our position clear from the outset and I am offended that people are now issuing threats to our alliance based on what I clearly stated would be our direction. Don't push me into a corner that I have no desire being in or fighting from. Further inquiries via private means thanks, no one else needs to know or care about the facts or what we are even discussing. I would contact you more directly, but I have no idea who you even are wink.gif.

I will continue to be unavailable at traditional times due to commitments (OOC: RL beckons at this time) I will therefore take all correspondence at this time via my usual private channels. If things are urgent, Arctic Penguin is apprised of my wishes and desires in these matters or will defer to my upon return.

    o/ Polaris.

Understandable. I've been enjoying the cordial relations between MK, STA, and NSO so far, I'd hate to see us and NpO not enjoy the same. The nature of the declaration is a little iffy to us given the perceived danger to STA presented by DOOM, but there's nothing to do about it now except blow the crap out of each other until our treaty partners find peace. Personally, I'd prefer to have the kind of peace where we all have a kegger, but the tumbleweeds-rolling-over-the-glowing-glass-covered-parking-lot kind of peace is also fine...

 The Orders at war... On different sides?!

    Epic!

Umm....history lesson? By your forum join date you wouldn't be familiar with it, but the WotC had a much greater epic level.

  10. I second what my friend says. Few have the resolve to see a battle all the way to its end. STA is among those few. Make your time, DOOM. Make your time.

Also, hello PA. How are you? I am well. Long time no type.

Hi kingzog, we're DOOM and Molon Labe. As you may or may not have noticed, we're actually enjoying the whole '300' thing we're doing. I've lost nearly 2000 infra and I'm still having a blast fighting my opponents. My radioactive lizard/zombie/robot hybrid soldier program has had more success in the last 5 days than in my previous two years here on Planet Bob and I only have STA and their nukes to thank for that. :)

  11. DOOM and Molon Labe both honored their treaties in an uphill war. I would say that regardless of your size, you are significant to many people.

I can't imagine this requiring a lengthy war or peace terms. You're here to honor your treaties as are we, and that is respectable. Given the circumstances, it's noted that your actions in upholding the treaty required a considerably greater amount of courage than ours did. I'd like nothing more than to see you and all of your allies satisfy your duty to one another and find swift peace.

Thank you, this is what I expected based on my prior knowledge of NpO.

Well, self-mutiliation is bad too and gross!

We're sadomasochists. :) Just ask Burt.

I would call some group picking a fight with guys, knowing that they're bigger and stronger than them, an act of self-mutiliation. And that's what doom is doing and what a lot of meanies are encouraging them to do. :(

We weren't encouraged by anyone or anything other than our own sense of honor. A lot of alliances caught major $#!^ for canceling treaties on the eve of war. ML and DOOM chose a better path, one where we don't use our treaties as toilet paper, and except for a few people here and there (like yourself) we're recognized as having done the right thing. If our allies had the upper hand in this battle we would have done the same thing, but they didn't and we still went ahead, knowing what would happen to our nations. I can see how a nubbie like you may not understand that in context of Planet Bob [OOC:, but it's something you might want to file away for use elsewhere in RL].

The STA and NSO have an MDP. We declared on you because you attacked our ally and we were sworn to assist as we could. Much the same as you assisting ML via your treaties. You may argue our assistance is pointless as it will not change the result of the war but, I could say the same of you stepping in to defend Molon Labe.

    Touché, salesman.

Since I am too entranced by your flag, Polaris (which is :awesome: btw, I  it), I will just wish you happy hunting. o/

To DOOM, I will say this ... you are DOOM'ed, leave while you still can :)

*Shakyr goes back to staring at the shiny flag

I think you've been staring at the flag too long :P ....DOOM and ML ride together until the allies we came do defend are finished - either via destruction or peace, either works for us.

Talk about an axis of awesome - Polar and two alliances led by former Polar emperors acting in union... cool stuff.

What's cooler than cool? Ice cold. :)

You are ignoring the second point I have brought up. We have no desire to influence this conflict. We are not Karma, we are not Hegemony, we are something completely different.

Rolling with STA on Molon Labe would have helped our friends yes, but so would rolling against MCXA with AZTEC, or GRAN/VA and others with ARES/Genesis, or GR, or even rolling with Pacifica against OV. We selected a largely limited front, where we wont be influencing the outcome of this war, where we can prevent minimal damages to our friends.

That's all this is, nothing more, nothing less.

This is the explanation I was looking for. I can understand how having close friends on both sides of the war really sucks and, while I still disagree with your choice of targets, I'm not nearly as mad about the declaration as I was last night.

There is no obligation in either case. Their assistance was not solicited - it was optional and offered. I cannot presume to speak for Polar, so I cannot address your concern in full. I would like to point out though, that the number of nations versus number of nations in this theater of conflict does not tell the whole story. The STA is not an especially high ANS alliance; most of our nations that could engage DOOM are in nuclear anarchy, and we were hard-pressed to scrape up enough forces to hit just those DOOMers who had declared on our Sith brethren.

I'm not pretending that our back was to the wall by any means, but Polar is providing a very real assistance to us here, and also to a much greater degree than they would have in our first round.

This is also understandable, some times it's easy to forget that other alliances aren't also as gifted with high ANS like we are were.

  12. While I'm sure that our good friends in NSO will have no problem swatting you away, I do have to wonder why them? Why not STA? We've got plenty of slots open, and are an even riper target than NSO, as we've got far fewer nukes, and a significantly lower ANS. NSO has had another alliance declare on them, but STA has not. TPF had a valid reason for electing not to attack STA, as they are bound by the NAP built into our white team economic treaty. DOOM however, has nothing to stop them from attacking us.

It leads me to believe that you chose to declare on NSO only instead of both alliances attacking your protector or instead of the weaker of the two alliances attacking because you're afraid that our allies in NpO might come to help. Some might say it's unfortunate that you that you selectively honor treaties in order to lessen your damages. Others would say you're in for a pounding either way, so what does it matter?

Yes. Some would say that indeed.

pez, DOOM only has 20ish nations. Maybe if they could declare on (and realistically fight) 15 nations instead of 3, they'd declare on you guys too. :) Sadly, that isn't the case. We like nuking people on our way down to ZI (and discussions about forming the Zombie Irregular Militia have already started) but one can only nuke so many people in a day...

I would kindly remind all NSO members that when they joined the Sith they left their baggage at the door. No one in the NSO is holding you on trial for past crimes. Don't let others do it by default.

Maintain your dignity and fight honorably.

This. Zeke and Sargun: if you want to hash out your issues, please move it to PMs. Thanks.

  13. You won't believe how many times I've heard 'never surrender'.

Well, let me introduce you to Molon Labe - we don't get involved in wars as often as we'd like, so when we do we enjoy them to the fullest extent possible. Usually that means we're the last ones standing but even if it means we're throwing rocks at MK/STA/NSO soldiers from our radioactive rubble piles, we enjoy the experience. :)
