If I'm not wrong just before CN peaked we had a "put a link on you your site and get CN goddies" that increased signups for CN by 100%. I think that if admin wanted more people he could get it.

Also, the cybernations population has been dropping steadly since it hit its peak of 40,000~ and then admin closed registrations for ages.

That's the general attitude on Planet Bob at this current time. Extortion and general thuggery, which were scorn upon nearly a year ago, have become commonplace. Any unaligned deciding to fight back to defend themselves from such is immediately sentenced to perma-ZI, for no other reason than fighting back. If they make their case public, they are laughed into submission by the raiders and other similarly minded individuals. There's not much that can be done really, it has become the accepted "norm" among the global community, and I only see it spreading even more in the coming months. Though \m/ is no more, and though GOONS is now irrelevant, tech raiding wasn't confined to those to alliances. It seems everybody wants to do it, and it is truly a shame.
Well then there is also the general degradation of common decency, but I'm not in any kind of mood to rant about that. Anyway, I'm glad things are ending well for granoladude. Slayer99 has always appeared to be a respectful individual to myself at least. Good show.
This thread does show decency and honor still exists in CN, if on a muted scale compared to an older, perhaps better age. I for one applaud TPF's decision to take the high road and give the OP peace!
Perhaps a change of heart is slowly occurring in CN.

Since Slayer has announced that TPF will be offering peace, would there be any objection to friendly states sending aid to the victim here? Or is TPF going to help undo some of the damage?

I don't like raiding as much as any None, but its a fact of CN, If you are unaligned its asking to get hit by CN pirates. I remember the days when unaligned nations were actually respected (for the most part) as "do it yourselfers". Too bad things aren't like that any more, nowadays they just get destroyed.

I couldn't take another 4 weeks of staying up past 3 AM every single night. I doubt many people in ~ can either. Except the aussies, and the euro's, and the east asia'ers.
