Sorry, but this sentence doesn't make very much sense to me....
However, Stalinism and Communism are two different things. Communism is an economic principle "invented" by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Up to now there weren't any really communistic countries, as in our society communism doesn't work. Stalin was a fascist as Hitler was. And denying the existence of the Gulags is the same thing as denying the existence of the KZ's. The biggest difference between these guys was the fact that Hitler caused a war which destroyed half Europe...
However, I like these efforts of NoV to give their alliance a new image. I hope these efforts are meant honestly - and I trust NoV in this until somebody proofes the opposite of it. BTW - if you go through these boards, there are many avatars and sigs I sincerely don't like because they remember me a bit much to the Third Reich - but for many Europeans only the color combination black-white-red does. I mean, let's give NoV a chance....

Actually, I don't like nazistic behaviour, and it doesn't matter if it is a RP or a RL behaviour. Oh, and the murders committed by Stalin's regime haven't anything to do with the communistic ideology itself, which only drawback is that it's an ideology impossible to realize. I mean, it doesn't matter how you call the evil - Hitler, Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot - evil remains evil. But not everything containing the word "Reich" is necessarily nazistic. Reichskanzler Gustav Stresemann for example achieved diplomatic peace between Germany and France after WWI, contributed to the Kellogg-Briand Pact and got the Nobel Award of Peace in 1926.

Unfortunately, due to the numerous allignments between the alliances of Planet Bob, we aren't able to support NoV in this issue. Should really a war break out - a thing nobody hopes to happen - involving the whole NoV, it is quite probable that some of our closest allies could get involved in this war. We can't act against our allies, as we strongly believe in our treaties with them. So, I found it dishonest to keep this treaty in times you can't follow it. I find it better to put papers clearly on the table - whatever should happen, we will stand along to our allies, should they call us in.
The cancellation of this treaty however doesn't mean any form of direct threatening from CON to NoV, nor has CON any direct problem with NoV.

The cancellation of this treaty was necessary to allow us to be ready to stand aside at our allies in time of need, as times are insecure at this moment. CON however hopes that this issue between NPO and NoV can be worked out without any further problems and we hope to come together again when the situation returns to normality.

Wanted only to inform Planet Bob that the CON with the date of today fulfilled the reparation payments to TPF and V/A.

Thank you very much for any kind word you posted about CON in here. It really gives a bit more of motivation to continue with this alliance. I think CON showed in the past to be a reliable partner and a good ally. And I think everybody in the CON will continue on this path. We believe that war is the last thing that could help an alliance, therefore we will renounce on any aggressive moves in the future, as we did - with one exception - in the past.
It was very nice to see that both ODN and IRON were still at our side in these difficult moments. This makes me hope that CON will return that what it was: an alliance considered friendly by (almost?) everyone on his slow way of growing.....
EDIT: We fulfilled with the date of today our reparation payments towards V/A and TPF. I hope somebody would appreciate the short time we took to send out both money and tech.

Well, what should I say... of course I'm very very very sad about this situation. Some stupid actions almost ended up in a senseless war. And all this is made even worse because these actions are made by a guy from my alliance and one of my best friends on Planet Bob. But now, well, I can't do else to confirm Heb's apologies to both V/A and TPF. As Economy Head of CON I'll do my best to have Conner's guys have their 30,000,000 as soon as possible. And if TPF wants me to coordinate also the payment of the tech, I'm always at your disposition.
Well, not now, it's almost 2.10 a.m. over here and I need some sleep
P.S.: Please don't flame people who aren't involved in this issue.....
