  1. I think much of the issue is due to the fear of being perceived as weak, or rather being afraid to admit that one may be wrong. I always took the objective of a debate on anything to be a debate to understand as opposed to winning. If people simply were more open minded and there was less flag waving, on both sides, things would fair much better in my opinion.

  2. SovietSindorin? Not putting a negative spin on things? I'm laughing as well :D

I'll repeat what I said earlier: ODN had an issue with how we wanted to conduct the war. In hindsight, their strategy was probably the better one (ours was far too aggressive and wouldn't have made a dent in anybody's NS but our own). In fact, some of us acknowledged this after USA had disdained help (the rest of us didn't care to dwell on the event, and went back to planning the merger). In either case, ODN would have defended us had we come under attack. I'm not really surprised they didn't want to aggress at the same time as us: they had no obligation to do so, and weren't geared for aggressive war in any case. I said they upheld their obligations: I never claimed they were particularly skilled fighters ^_^

Well, at least we have that in common. We both know sindorin is an utter moron and can always be counted on to lie to his advantage. Perhaps you might be right in this instance, if the info came from him.

  3. And the thought never crossed your mind that he might have been working from vastly incomplete and much-garbled information, supplemented by the conjecture of his source(s)? The thought never crossed your mind that people actually involved in the events (which related to the OV-VE/USA war at the end of 2008, so more than "a few days ago") might maybe, possibly, know more than Kaiser Martens? Feel free to diminish your credibility even more, though I'm not entirely sure whether or not that's possible. I was the one talking with ODN at the time (I believe the people I talked to were Joracy, Proximus, and/or Soccerbum, who was in ODN at the time), and I can assure you that what disagreements we had with them were over the strategy by which the war would be fought, not over the principle of whether or not ODN would defend CPCN. ODN was prepared to defend CPCN. Trust me: I know more about ODN's relationship with The International than you know, or will ever know.

I heard KM got it from somebody who was a member during the time. I think he was a re roll of sovietsindorin ( which makes me laugh so hard ), but according to Martens you guys had a disagreement with ODN because they wanted USA and SE to get rolled before they would have to help you. You wanted to go in and support SE by coordinating your attack against OV and VE. Yes, it was more than a few days ago. But not the conversation I had with martens. This is the first I am hearing about it, but it doesn't surprise me. So really ODN will defend you if they only have to.

  4. Your pseudo intellectual babble is irrelevant, please hold.

    1. We pander to people? Last I checked (and remember that, for the time being, I'm in charge of this sort of thing), INT was treatied with people with whom it got along, who it respected, and who it believed it could defend and would reciprocate in war. It's one of the reasons we have so few treaties compared to other alliances our size. As for "what's wrong with this community", I can't speak for INT, but the way I see things, the root of the problem is the way members of alliances see themselves. This effects the way alliances are governed, as well as they way alliances behave internationally. I have expressed these views on the forums, and in a condensed version on CN wiki; feel free to check them out. Trying to change the way members of alliances see themselves is almost impossible unless you manage to become a significant and vocal presence in other alliances, which is beyond our capacity. Without changing the way members of alliances see themselves, it is difficult to change the way alliances behave internationally. For INT, "change" in CN begins with constructing a model of how an alliance's members can see themselves, and how such an alliance can be governed, that can be imitated by those who care to try. Only once many alliances have cared to try will we begin to see change in how alliances conduct their foreign affairs.

That's good, but what does this have to do with anything I said? As far as I can see I'm talking about the ODN and the fact that most of your members feel they don't honor treaties.

    2. Our relationship with the Orange Defense Network has developed over time and remains quite firm. Back in 2008, many of CPCN's founding members came from ODN (these included Cataduanes and The Greatevilfish, neither of whom remain with us today). They were very free with diplomatic advice, most of which was sound, and most of which consisted of "don't be rash". We like to think we've gone past the stage of apprenticeship, but we remain on very good terms with leading personalities in the ODN, and there is no doubt in my mind that if INT were attacked today, among our defenders would be the Orange Defense Network. Likewise if it were the other way around, though they are twice our size and four times our membership, and might disdain our aid.

Is that so? Because it just so happens that Martens and I had a discussion not too long ago ( say about a few days ago ) about a war that almost involved the Socialistic Empire ( Not sure if they are still around ). Turns out ODN didn't want to defend you or them, unless they really had to. At least that's what I hear from him, and I trust him implicitly, as he has never lied to me.

    edit: my grammar is gooder

  5. Sadly when we signed with RoK we were really signing with with Hoo and that is where our ties with RoK always were. Not the best idea I guess to base our entire treaty on one guy but, lets face it RoK was Hoo and vice versa for a long time. When Hoo left and the new RoK began forming we knew the ties we had were no longer what they once were. We had debated killing the treaty but did not for two reasons, one we wanted to wait and see what would result from RoKs transition post Hoo and two to avoid feeding all the people pushing for drama. And that is pretty much that. The GOD drama was just the thing to remind both sides that we no longer had the ties we once did. I wish RoK good luck.

Also, hi Hoo!!! Come by and see me some time.

That is an excellent way of saying, "Hey RoK, we think your membership is poor, but we liked the one guy before he left." Your tact and endless diplomacy never ceases to amaze me.

  6. Many of your outspoken members ZI'd my comrades and their leftist alliances for the lulz, or stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the ZI'ers in the past. We're two different worlds, baby. ^_^

First and foremost do not accuse me of the sins of my former "compatriots". Much of their actions I do not condone nor agree with. While I might be a nationalist in every sense of the word I am neither an anti-communist nor a communist. I am a realist. I think that communism is responsible for the deaths of millions, but so was capitalism. If you want to choose either, that's your choice. Far be it from me to tell you that you're not permitted to have a leftist alliance/nation.

See, I can be most reasonable, despite my AA.

  7. Yes that is one way of putting it, CN Commies have in the past done tried to do that or did you think Vox Pop was the first community to attempt to fight the powers that be? As for what they are doing at present i wlll let a Commie flying a Commie AA answer that

Here, let me help you. They're pandering to the alliances that can't do anything to change the fabric of whats wrong with this community. Alliances like the Optional Defense Network. Also, just because you tried and failed, does that mean you have to become apart of the broken system? How much does that leftist "unity" mean to you, International?
