As an external observer I agree with neither side now:
-Karma started out with good intentions with the idea to free up the game from the tyranny of NPO, to essentially allow people to play the game without the trepidation that they would be wiped off the map just because NPO choose so.
Now, however, Karma want retribution instead of freedom, they want to make those who caused suffering to suffer in turn. And therefore make the game unplayable for those who choose to align with NPO, so hypocrisy reigns supreme in Karma at the moment.
-On the other hand we have NPO a machine that manipulated and controlled Planet Bob since nearly its conception. The Viet-Fan War is one the most despicable crushing of other people's fun, the GPA war was nothing more then a giant tech raid masqueraded as a legitimate war, and time and time again people came to the boards to speak of the corruption and nepotism that malignantly spread through NPO's ranks.
And now when the tables are turned on NPO do they show remorse for their actions? NO! They simply accuse Karma of victimizing them when the crimes they committed are ignored by each of their members.
-So at the end of the day what has changed in Planet Bob??? Not much; the Viet-Fan war still rages on now it should be simply titled the Viet-NPO war.
Are the large neutral alliances of Planet Bob, left to their own devices??? Certainly not, the prevailing attitude of the Neutral Menace still lingers in the minds of many.
The only thing that has changed is the wealth of the Coalition has been distributed evenly among the Karma alliances.
