What do you call NPO attacking OV then? Wasn't that the reason NPO got rolled, or just an excuse?If it was an excuse, then why did NPO give them that excuse?
While the CB was absolutely legitimate, the main fuel was revenge. NPO attacking OV was absolutely foolish because it gave people wanting to attack them a good CB. While this situation is near the same, but lacking the legitimate CB.

This post acts with impunity as "Ha, I proved you wrong that such a large alliance had never been raided before". But please do take a moment and closely consider your posts, the NPO ended up getting rolled in Karma for actions such as that. So I'm not really seeing how you can use the "BUT GPA WAS RAIDED BEFORE!" argument as a rationalization for why \m/ can raid FoA, clearly NPO paid dearly for such actions, as you guys are doing so now, whether its justified or not
the NPO got rolled for revenge. Morals are a perversion to get what you want and look good doing it.

This community has descended into a new level of petty pathetic behavior. When multiple alliances who fought for a better world, will accept that \m/ are allowed to do whatever they like because they are sovereign, and that no one can touch anyone for any reason unless they happen to land on the opposite side of the ''treaty web'' you have a giant Charlie Foxtrot of stagnation spiralling into complete anarchy backed by the appearance of order.
To all and sundry, I started what I started because I believe, I still do. I am just ashamed that some of my allies and their friends have such a desire for their own political agenda that they will not look at a slightly bigger picture. You will get what you want, your shot at the title, but it will be at a great cost, one I don't think you can comprehend just yet. If this ends in peace today, there will still be a massive fall out, things will never ever be the same.

I am not going to tell you how to run your alliance, but simply put,\m/ and its members have shown themselves to be total harebrains in the conduct that they have towards the rest of the cyberverse. Can the current situation hardly be a surprise, when any attempt at diplomacy, was met with total and complete disrespect, where not a single bit of common courtesy was used?

See, cause I thought \m/ were the ones asking everyone else to conform to their standards by letting them do as they please without consequence, including forcing smaller alliances to surrender and give over their tech, as well as not conducting themselves reasonably when approached about it.
\m/ does not just "do what they want." they raid targets who they know do not have the capacity to bring out consequences for \m/ as they have learned from "world standards" (that seem to be dictated by NpO). Though I would agree that they are opportunists, you're not following general convention by declaring on \m/, thus your hypocrisy begins.

They're apologizing because Grub was offended and that is not the way \m/ wishes to communicate with foreign dignitaries, especially when they were not warned of the happenings in #\m/. the rest of the apology goes out to the general populace of CN, as a courtesy to them, stating that they should stay out of #\m/ if they are offended by racist jokes, etc. so they don't have to make this apology over and over again.

The timing of this occurring right after racial epitaphs were directed against certain Polar leadership cannot be a coincidence. And since I'm pretty sure this was directed at the Polar leadership, then I can safely say it wasn't an innocuous event.

It is true that such colorful language has been consider a valid enough CB to justify war by certain parties. What is also true is that in this instance colorful language was never going to be used as a CB. \m/'s entire reason for bringing the incident to light is thus not, as they claim, some pretext for preventing a war over colorful language, but instead an attempt to politicize the IRC incident in an attempt to mobilize some sympathy from the mass of people tired of CB's based on colorful language.

i think we can all doubt \m/ to be intelligent or rather, that they care enough, to politicize OOC CB's in this manner. More likely, they are telling people not to come to their chan if they are sensitive to words (or are from polar).

This isn't something unique to their channel. Glad to see some responsibility taken for it however. I'm sure everyone could do more to clean up our own houses in relation to such speech, at least to some extent.

What NoR 1 and/or NoV said on didn't say on their forums didn't affect anyone; whatever boyfriend/girlfriend Zero Hour BS that all was didn't affect anyone; the logs in the Undercover GOON video didn't afect anyone; when a member of Freebootin' Pirate Insurgency made a joke about seizures it didn't affect anyone.
