  1. I owe IRON an apology. I have failed our great alliance. You see I was there at the kidnapping of the Hippo. I knew something was up when the most beautiful girl I have ever seen started flirting with me. This was odd since my appearance and behavior usually makes the girls run screaming. Anyway next thing I know I am in the alley out back making out with my dreamgirl. I heard a commotion inside but by the the time I got back, the hippo and the suspects had fled. How they got the Hippo to move, I don't know.

BTW - Even though I carry heavy guilt for not stopping this evil act, Mercedes and I are going out Thursday for our second date.

    Mercedes my Dreamgirl!

  2. Come on AA, I have always known where you were coming from, but this is just grandstanding. The bad things you say about a former alliance who was forgiving to you in numerous situations, supportive, and gave you protection is just to hurt our feelings - I, we, know you better than you think. I understand making first impressions to the 'non-leadership' at VP (Sponge & Doitzel are watching) but do you have to sellout the many in IRON who understood (tolerated) your views and even thought they were your friend? I hope being on the good side of the 'non-leaders' of VP is worth it?

If the government is reminiscent of GOON's, and the members agree with this (I refer to Barrak's resignation post in which he was flamed to pieces), then I can make a fairly good comment about IRON as a whole. This isn't to say that every IRON'er is though.
You are simply spewing lies AA:

In the Barrack Resignation thread that you refer to you infer that many IRON members posted their support for Barrack therefore justifying your GOONS reference. I am not sure what you are reading but according to my conservative scorekeeping it is 22-1 against what you claim to be the overwhelming feeling of IRON members (The one member did not so much as agree but felt sorry). I am disappointed because you did not leave your well formed, persuasive, fact laden, comment about IRON as a whole.

If IRON picked its allies (or enemies, and I'm referring to the declarations against the uninvolved alliances of NV and PUKE) better, then I wouldn't have had to walk out, and IRON would still be respected by all of Planet Bob.
    More lies AA:

How was NV & PUKE not involved? Last I checked they were members of BLEU. Is there something I am missing here? Let's be honest AA, I don't think the 'disrespect IRON' list got any bigger, it has been the same NPO haters and disgruntled such as yourself. It is funny how you turn the responsibility of you leaving on IRON when in reality, down deep, you know it was you who 'walked out'. How about some valid points that are backed up by facts not conjectures and typical Vox spin. I hate to say it AA but this actually may do detriment to your aspirations with the big boys at Vox.

  3. VOX POPULI BIGGER THAN GOD!

(OOC: With apologies to the Estate of John Lennon. But he did say The Beatles were bigger than God, so that's why I had to go with him for this 100% necessary announcement about Vox Populi. NV applications are kinda closed right now, but VP is accepting new applications. If you want them to stop sending you recruitment messages, just join them or another alliance that's fighting to defend its honor. Oops. Some of that got kinda IC.)

Here is what Lennon actually said:

"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I do not know what will go first, rock 'n' roll or Christianity. We're more popular than Jesus now. Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary."

    And later he wrote:

"I always remember to thank Jesus for the end of my touring days; if I hadn't said that The Beatles were 'bigger than Jesus' and upset the very Christian Ku Klux Klan, well, Lord, I might still be up there with all the other performing fleas! God bless America. Thank you, Jesus."

Not quite God I suppose but hey Jesus is good enough don't you think?

  4. The OP describes a bit of OOC conversation and, frankly, it's passive-aggressive to dangle hope and then yank it away. That's real-world bullying, not playing in character.

I would argue that that conversation was IC and OOC. When Misr says:

<Misr> u can tell me now

    <Misr> r u using nukes?

I would say he is back In Character at that point. Which receives an In Character response.

That's disgusting to me. The game has been CyberBullying for quite some time, with the bullies now turning upon themselves. There are nice guys still trying to role-play, but all a bully has to do is join up with a bigger alliance and it will tolerate anything he does, in or out of character.

You make it sound as if you know what you are talking about. The fact is that Freezer is not just some johnny-come-lately to IRON, he is quite the opposite.

    o/ Freezer

    o/ IRON

    Ferro Credimus!

  5. It is unfortunate that it has come to this. However as usual, Moo and the NPO have been very levelheaded about the situation. If something is wrong it cannot continue, in order to keep things stabilized action must be taken. Hopefully through diplomacy.

    Hail Moo!

    Hail NPO!

    Ferro Credimus!

  6. Thank you to all of you as it has been wonderful working with you all! Heft will with no doubt lead IRON into continued prosperity and integrity. Congrats to you Hippo! You deserve it.

Should we get a room ready at the retired alliance leaders club that is the NPO? :awesome:

Congrats IRON, good luck with the new leadership.

Nope no room Tri, Moo put the ixnay on the NPOnay because he knows Bilrow and I will just watch TeeeVeee 24/7 while eating Nutella with DM.

Besides, IRON has been my only home and The Council is putting me up in a beauty of a Beach House.

    BTW:

Right before I retired I made a required purchase for IRON's Air Force One:
