  1. I don't see those as harsh terms, nor do I see it as cheap for GOD to have directly messaged the membership. They probably did this in the belief that many Echelon, some of whom would by now desparately want surrender, would never otherwise hear about the offer their own gov is refusing.

Fight on or surrender either is fine, but there's nothing low about GODs actions.

  2. mHawk, I think you got screwed by taking over the leadership position of TPF, concerning the actions of your predecessors...

I doubt he minds it somehow. The enemies with several thousand tech and a WRC are the really scary ones, and by the time they're down to 1k infra you can barely do any real damage to them either, while they can take 350+ infra and land easily. Warchests can't last forever though, at least I hope so!

  3. Well, since this is totally unrelated to the current war, and it's a tech raid on a TPF protectorate.

And everyone can see how TPF takes it's treaties seriously.

And after the responses in this thread from both Karma and non Karma folks, a PC stomping would be a welcome thing. Nothing like having an experienced meatshield do your dirty work for you.

And since the last remaining pro PC voice in TPF has had a HUGE change of heart.

And we will be much closer in AS when all is said and done, so it will be sorta fair.

And since everyone knows how much PC loves war.

....the future shall be interesting indeed.

    House of Cards 2.0

I wasn't suggesting that you couldn't have hurt us back then. But you know as well as I do that if it had just been the two our alliances, despite the massive size difference, we would gladly have fought you to the death. Perhaps there will be a round 2 (hope I have a FAFB by then too).

  4. I haven't noticed it say razed at all tbh. I keep battle logs and this is the difference between the two situations.

Many of your soldiers lives were lost in this battle, even more than your enemy, but at the end of the battle your army was victorious. In your victory your forces destroyed 13.235 miles of land of Ganalhis. They also destroyed 24.241 infrastructure within Ganalhis. They also destroyed 6.060 technology of Ganalhis. The value of your equipment abandoned in the battle was $0.00. Your forces destroyed $1,000,000.00 of the nation of Ganalhis.
Your soldiers triumphantly and decisively defeated your enemy in this battle. Your soldiers owe their lives to your hard work as their leader. In your victory your forces captured 4.755 miles of land from Nufunia. They also destroyed 24.241 infrastructure within Nufunia. They also stole 6.060 technology from Nufunia. The value of your equipment abandoned in the battle was $0.00. Your forces looted $1,000,000.00 from the nation of Nufunia.
  5. so you went for an easy target? Sure doesn't sound like the usual PC bravado and swagger. Leads me to two conclusions or a mixture of the two. 1. PC is hurting and needed a nice easy target. 2. PC is so consumed with hatred for TPF that they felt the need to taunt and mock TPF by attacking California.

It's a raid so indeed I will choose an easy target when there are many available - raids are meant to be profitable. If my target wishes to fight back I'm already in a nuclear war with 2 other nations so he shouldn't have too hard a time.

Many people here are simply interested in attacking our tech raiding itself. While you're perfectly free to do this, it's a separate issue and not what this thread was about. If our actions towards California were anything more than a raid we wouldn't have limited attacks to GAs and offered peace immediately. This should be evident.

  6. Also...why only have one person attack their top 5 nations...but have 3 attacking lower down nations at a time?

Seems pretty cowardly to me imo.

Because their top 5 nations have a whole 25 nukes total on top of a formidable 0 WRC, 0 AADN and 2 FAB!

Damn right, we wouldn't dare touch that.

  7. There is a balance imo, and I believe that the majority of alliance surrender too soon.

While it's true that there is little point taking everybody to ZI since you're better off rebuilding without crippling yourself first to fight another day; the alliances who surrender very early on only lose respect and credibility as a result. While it's one thing to surrender early if choosing to enter through optional treaty obligations, if a powerful alliance surrenders very early on they only show themselves to be largely irrelavent. No matter how powerful an alliance is statistically, if they're not going to follow through on a war because of fear of losing some of those statistics, then they aren't really much threat at all.

  8. Because that'd be stupid and anyone who couldn't be on at update would have a large chance of not getting to ground attack as much. Leave well enough alone.

    Agreed.

Not everything in this game is consistent, but the suggestion would in many cases significantly disadvantage anybody who can't get on at updates.

    Edit: old thread, sorry...

  9. Personally I hope that I never come to take any internet based community so seriously or spend so much time on it that I treat it as a significant part of my life other than primarily as a passtime/entertainment source with a strong community aspect. I don't mean disrespect to anybody by this, and I know some will disagree, but in my experience the best freindships are based on a variety of shared experiences - something which is inherently limited in the online media.

I do enjoy the humour and occasional deep discussions in both these and my alliance forums, and without the community aspect I would not have played the game for more than a week. I would certainly call some people in this game my friends, but I would never treat these friendships on par with RL ones, and if I ever did it would be a sign to myself that I am taking the game too seriously at the expense of RL.

  10. Before our war ended. money wise I could have probably keep up nuking from now til roughly....July. Assuming I staty above the Infra requirements

~3mil every second day to buy back 1k infra and you could do it forever AFAIK :)

  11. I agree that the land system needs a few changes. Unfortunately this idea never has much support since the great majority of people in this game don't really like war and view it as an occasional unfortunate necessity. So land, being something that can only be gained through war, draws the short straw as the majority don't want others to be able to benefit in a way that they cannot, let alone to encourage war.

I still think war must remain the primary method of accruing land otherwise variety will be lost, but it does need to be made more defensible, since at present it is slow or impossible to gain but very quick to lose against a competent opponent.

  12. I agree with Alden. There are and have been clear and significant differences in how well different alliances fare based on how organized they are. No doubt the Karma side was stronger to begin with but some Hegemony alliances are/were falling much faster than they should be. TPF has been hit hard but they're also being attacked by a hell of a lot of enemies - considering which they're holding out well. Other alliances on the same side however have taken far fewer and easier wars but still lost similar proportions of their NS.

  13. If you have proof of 'perma peace mode", Do share! As we're sharing the glory, and pain. Just because there are doves NOW, does not mean that nation had a dove a week ago. In fact people in battle now, might have had a dove a week ago.

I was referring to the majority of the current top 10 whose charts show they haven't entered a war yet. I realise the rest of you have taken a lot of damage and if these others are indeed planning some long-term stagger then good job to you all. You're all fighting well for sure and I wasn't suggesting for a moment that everybody currently in peacemode is avoiding war - the original comment was referring to the relative drops in NS between your alliance as a whole and TPF as a whole.

  14. Those of us on the field now are doing fine, thanks.

As for the top levels letting the others suffer, six of our starting top eight have dropped ten or more places since the start of this conflict. That's because we were the bunch that first engaged, and we've come back for more. I know this because I am one of them. Anyone who is in peace mode now is there on orders.

Hat's off to PC. You guys are tough opponents and have given me some good fights. Wild Wild West and Evil Muffins, in particular. The RAD nations I've fought, too. I've gone from #6 in Avalon to #19

The killing and the dying have gone around plenty, on all sides.

o/ Avalon and o/ to the battle!

Well fair enough, keep up the fight, we are indeed all enjoying it :)

Three more days of eating MHawk's nukes (of which my SDI hasn't stopped a single one) and I should be within range of more of you.
