1. As expected, the nukes have taken their toll. OP was able to keep many LE under nuke anarchy, while both OP and OB have been coming out of anarchy. The anarchy totals speak to this and good fighting as well, with a 36 to 14 LE deficit. The NS battle favors OP/OB by 17k NS less lost than LE. Considering they were blitzed, there is not doubt OP/OB have worked well to recover and gain the advantage. Mostly reported good fighting on both sides, with a special call out to OB/OP for coordinated counter strikes. I think it is clear that this will be a shinning example of a counter-blitz defense put on my OP/OB. It also illustrates that high avg NS + nukes = lethal combination. Respectfully submitted! Fish
2. Here are the war stats after 3 days of LE v OP-OB war, updated through 11-18 6pm stats run. Day 1: The Blitz LE used their blitz advantage as expected. They gained 8k NS while inflicting 27k of NS damage. The anarchies caused by LE were 39, while only suffering 4 themselves. Day 2: The Nukes OP/OB dropped or lost 13 nukes, and with good counter fighting, caused 19 anarchies, while incurring only 4 themselves. Stats to date show a pretty close match. Each side has lost near 50k of NS and suffered about 25 anarchies. While this war might have suffered from some rhetoric on the OWF, there is no doubt much good fighting on both sides as the pixels disappearing seem to show. Respectfully submitted and Salute! Fish
3. Being our reunion round, I don't want to be selfish with the leader position. We are about a third of the way through the round, and at a good place to make a change with our early war ended. Therefore, LE will change leadership effective immediately. Red Baron (roan aka Janitor) is the new Lafayette Escadrille Round Leader. Salute! Fish
4. There goes the neighborhood radiation levels Good luck to all, to warz! Fish
5. It was a great war. We have declared White Peace with TPC and MCXA. As is customary, LE will defend ANY and ALL tech raids on either TPC or MCXA in the next 7 days, like they are raids on Lafayette Escadrille. Our policy on raiders is that we eliminate their nation, no mercy. It was a pretty short war, but extremely fierce for the most part. Salute! Fish
6. Day 3 stats and commentary added (edit to the first post) http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=91585&view=findpost&p=2438046 Fish
7. Day 2 added. It's too late for me, so someone else can provide the commentary. Fish
8. Day 4 - Final Stats Day 3 - Most of the fighting continues I - LE vs TPC/MCXA - The anarchy gap gets closed somewhat with 12 TPC coming out of anarchy and 6 more LE going into it. The NS gap continues to widen with LE gaining 4k NS while TPC lost 20k NS. On a side note, LE moved into the overall #1 spot in AA NS. II - (tW vs OB) - Is OB turning the tide? Today both lost 2k NS and tW had 4 nations to anarchy while OB held the same level. Overall, there is no doubt tW have the advantage, but tomorrow may prove interesting. III - PS/TFK vs RE) - RE posted surrender tonight. No further updates will be posted. PS/TFK walk off with an anarchy advantage of 53 and a NS advantage of 66k NS. RE never seemed to recover from the blitz. Day 2 - The Counter I - TPC/MCXA closed the anarchy advantage by 10 nations, but the NS advantaged widened, but only by 3k. Seems to be a good counter night, with MCXA holding their own. II - Pretty even here with anarchies, but tW continues to expanded their NS gap III - RE gained a few anarchies to close the blitz gap slightly, but they continue to bleed NS from the pounding of PS/TFK Day 1 - The Blitz It seems pretty obvious that most defenders were caught by surprise with the war timing; the exception being Orbit Black. Therefore, day 1 shows heavy attacker advantage and the defenders will be challenged with fighting back day 2. The attackers are fighting upward in NS, both in each individual conflict and the war in total. Even on day 2 the defenders hold the nations and AA NS advantage, though somewhat narrowed. Anarchy advantage is strongly with the attackers 6 v. 142, which is a result of the closely keep secret of blitz timing. The test remains for the defenders to even out this anarchy disadvantage with coordinated counters. With the timing being only 10 days into the round, nukes have not proven much impact. A few have flown, but radiation might not be lifted with this war. So the die is cast and the battle begin. The coming days will reveal more stats to read. Fish Note on methodology: There are three separate DoW, but coordinated timing. So both are listed. (I) LE vs. TPC/MCXA, (II) Warriors vs. Orbit Black, and (III) PS/TFK vs. RE. Team Attack is LE/tW/PS/TFK and Team Defend TPC/MCXA/OB/RE. Stats begin with the 8-30 6pm run and will continue with each 6pm run. Being 6pm is used, some pre-update build-up may be missed.
9.
Hey wait, did someone let the cat out of the bag?
Sorry, BG, this one didn't have anything to do with your catbag. LE actually started preparing for lucky round 13 about 3 months ago. We brought back many of the old guard to merge with the newer LE members. You should see some familiar older faces. I missed a meeting...and was named Round Leader. About two days prior to this round, I started to put out feelers to AAs we have found to match our fighting style. Knowing we would be larger this round, we couldn't side with TPC because, together, we'd be too large. So, we asked to fight you, because we know we'd get a great fight. Oh, we had some early round raiding issues with MCXA, so we decided they could be your ally! I look forward to your response at update. Keep your members from wasting their attacks solo and early, will ya? Salute! Fish PS. No whining about sanctions, but you know me, you might want to get off Team Black
