  1. Republic of Lenahan, the following is a list of instructions that will greatly benefit your alliance.

    1. coup RyanGDI

    2. ensure no member of GDI ever posts here again

    3. disband the alliance

    4. ????????????????

    5. PROFIT!!!

popsumpot is right Republic of Lenahan. You have to tell all your GDI allies(especially RyanGDI) NEVER to post here again. It will only hurt your reputaion even more.

  2. There are other options as well. The most common way for a new or smallish alliance to avoid getting picked off is to find themselves a protector. Taking that route, you look for a strong alliance that has good diplomacy skills and is willing to take the time to teach. Two alliances that are reputable and have a lot of experience working with up and coming alliances are TPF and Ragnarok. There are others as well, but I think those two do the most work in that field.

Alternatively, you can hop onto something like Pegasus, which is essentially a protectorate bloc that is watched over by Poseidon, a bloc of the largest and strongest purple alliances. Purple team is a very friendly place for new alliances, as well. If that sort of thing is up your alley, BAPS are the flag alliance of Pegasus, meaning they help folks get on board.

I strongly advise doing a bit of research before signing treaties. A good protector can help you with that. Even without a protector, a bit of research can still be enough to keep you out of trouble.

    Meanwhile, good luck :)

Kryievla is right. My alliance, Olympus joined Purple and Pegasus and we are almost at 1,000,000 NS and we haven't even been around for more than 2 months yet.

  3. I understand that our alliance is going to get a lot of flak for this, but, you have to look at it from our perspective-- We had three choices: Remain neutral and likely get picked off; side with Nod, who appear to be a bunch of blathering idiots who can't spell 'leader' correctly, and likely get killed as well; or side with the GDI, who from all our experiences have been reasonable and intelligent, as well as pretty cool guys personally...Pretty obvious choice.

I just don't understand why people get so worked up about a game...I mean, it's not like we've stated that we're going to take over the world, now have we? We've just made a peaceful treaty of mutual protection and aid....And everyone just goes crazy when they hear about it.

Ok, go ahead, troll and flame me, if you wish.

By reasonable and intelligent you mean.....? :P

  4. the sad thing is i did warn The Black Hand of Nod about them, i even offered them a Merger into Nod, but it looks like they did not listen to me and now Their PR is going out the window...

    so sad :(

but Ryan PLEASE take this advice stop threatening TORN they are like 129000000000x your NS not to mention how much more efficient they are at wars.....

    /Epic fail RyanGDI

He's right RyanGDI. Your alliance just passed 100,000 NS today. Even with all your allies you probebly would not be able to defeat TORN.

  5. Sure, they make the offensive...then that renders all of Nod's treaties useless, and they get jumped by GDI/BHoN/ARES (and possibly SPA via MDAP after cancelling their NAP). After all, their protectorate agreement is defense "TORN protects Nod" , not "TORN will assist Nod with any offensive strikes".

Why do you say stuff like this Ryan  ? Do you want war because I'm sure there are some alliances that may want you out if you attack Nod.

  6. No Backstabbing... but yes i did order a spy operation but then i got my punishment for that. i got attacked and lost our protectors.. :(

    we misses you NV :(

but now is a new time the difference between me and ryan is i learn from my mistakes and don't repeat them, also i don't flame alliances 12x my size :)

Even though GDI was somewhat responsible for the Christmas War because they didn't handle it well, you are right. You shouldn't have oddered a spy operation.

  7. Back on track IC: I still don't see this thread doing you or the Company any good. Every time this issue is brought up in public again it just reminds everyone of the unpleasantness.

Exactly. If you keep talking about The Company like this, your only improving the chance that a stronger alliance will declare war on them.

  8. True, but like I said at the time I didn't know anything else but TPO. I didn't think for myself until recently.

When I first came here 200 days ago I had no idea what I was doing either. I really had no idea what to do too. I thought the game was just about wars with other nations but eventually I learned about the game just like you did.
