  1. your only .1 away! :D yay (p.s. i hate your sarcasm)

I don't think he's being sarcastic, It is awfully tough to keep up TOP's rate of growth in comparison to an alliance with 3X as many members, that means our efficiencies must be 3X as high not counting new applicants, and well you know Gremlins only has so many members for us to steal in our grand plan of betrayal.

  2. Lol, I agree with the Polar one, but I must say that the current TOP pip is so damn elaborate, it just outright impresses me.

Btw, what's all that stuff on the inside of the bar of the first TOP pip (the skin-colored background, with brown and orange lines?)?

its a map going for the Paradox Interactive theme again

  3. Quite frankly its interesting the way in which some people are allowed to change and others aren't.

Remember that key members of Vox Populi were major players in the hegemony (Electron Sponge, Doitzel etc.) I'm not saying that what they did was either positive or negative or pretending to know the motives for it, but people outside of TOP or Citadel don't know our motives either. Pretending to know so is ignorant at best and malicious at worst.

  4. I wonder if the days with alliances ~1000 members are gone forever

Who did it or came close? NPO/LEGION/GOONS did it for sure

GPA/ODN at least came close, anyone else?

not sure if IRON ever got there

theres been quite a few in the 600 range, MCXA/FAN/LUE/NpO/SPARTA/MHA/RoK/TDO now, just off the top of my head

\m/, ONOS, GOLD peaked in 300's I think, NAAC was in the 500's if I remember correctly

Would be interesting to see a list of alliances ranked by peak member count

  5. heh...GUARD was tiny

although I think things would have been awfully interesting if NPO hadn't rolled ONOS when they did. With the break of WUT it probably would have become quite big (if not necessarily militarily capable)

GUARD already had ONOS/NADC/SPARTA, and just prior to its dismantle VE had applied, which would have made 4 of the sanctioned alliances (keep in mind GPA/GOLD/IRON weren't in blocks)

NPO was definitely strategic back then if nothing else

  6. PoW's whose alliances surrendered are not held to the terms is my guess. I am unsure if that is the case, but it would make sense as long as the PoW's do not reenter the war on the hegemony side.

they've got 8 members at 19 days inactive now only an hour before update

    Karma POW also has 1

  7. I love the part where it says "NpO and ??? versus NAAC". NAAC had twice the NS of Polar before that war. Afterward? Flatline.

and legion had TOP/FAN 3-1 outnumbered

I can't wait for a war where the side with less numbers wins...

  8. No, but you should be at least able to reasonably fight back against the people attacking you.

Yea, even with that, it's not enough. When all your odds are ~50% even with max deployment, any soldiers dieing basically kills your chances against the rest of your opponents.

I did use the full deployment as a tool in this war since I was already in nuclear anarchy. Just do it knowing the risk it is, and try to move quickly when your opponents are online. In my opinion it only adds another strategy to the game

  9. Ehhh.

    Let's see.

We started Feb. 13 2009 to ask for various pips (we call it a pip , dunno). Several suggestions were made, but it was mainly preliminary suggestions.

    2. of April the "Sanction Pips" topic was made which saw many, many of them and several stood out as particularly pretty.

They were added in "Sanction Pips II" 10th of April (to reduce clutter) and several modifications where made to several suggestions plus a few new additions.

These were voted on from 13th of April which reduced to selection to 4 and those 4 where up for vote 18th of april. There is two distinct favourites with only 2 votes in difference.

Now two things have happened: Mainly the whole war thing which changes the topic we have running in the Golden Hall

Secondly the fourth topic dedicated to create sanction pips have been created to see if other suggestion will come up since we are pretty divided on the pip (the two leading candidates are quite different artistic approaches) does not bode well for the 1 vs 1 election.

Essentially, when this war is over, I wager around two weeks before a decision is made but no guarantees from me.

    Don't forget the new submissions
