An update on the situation:

Sodapopolis has now been attacked by Jayce ruler of Lesniewania member of the Socialist Peoples Army.

This attack (as well as the previous attack by Commander Benji) was made well after peace was agreed on between GDI and myself, and after I joined the RLMMO alliance.

I believe this to be GDI attacking me by proxy.

I am conferring with my alliance, and we will be contacting the involved alliances and our treaty partners about this situation.

Edit: Now also being attacked by the nation of Kendi, also member of SPA. Allies of GDI. Coincidence? I doubt it.

The last one makes it apparent what his goals were. When he found out that I was in an alliance with protection, he quickly offered peace. Which I then accepted.

As you can see I never asked for anything but information, and that was well before peace was ever discussed between us. Nothing strange here, and it shouldn't affect our peace deal.

I am investigating this issue with Commander Benji further, as there are several things that aren't adding up here.

To be clear to RyanGDI:

I never asked Commander Benji to attack anyone. I only contacted him because I wondered why he was attacking one of your GDI members and you guys weren't doing anything about it.

I have screenshots of all correspondence with Commander Benji, and if he accused me of asking him to attack anyone (or asking him for ANYTHING besides info) then I'd like you to provide proof of that.

Especially, if you plan on using his word to attempt get out of these peace terms.

(An important update, just to make this clear. Editing to prevent double posts. Commander Benji from AB has attacked Soda, since Soda asked CB to help attack yet another GDI member, before peace was declared. This is outside of the peace agreement, and just got to my attention at reset.)

Alright, here's a large summary of my opinions of the opinions posted since my last post.

Firstly, excess OOC flaming isn't exactly required. King-D, you did blow your taps off rather sharply, however sly flaming (aka this whole thread) did induce it. Secondly, in terms of why Soda isn't in ruins right now, it's because it's hard to ZI someone who constantly gets aided. And, it's hard to coordinate wars when people have important issues in their lives. My deputy SC is away on a serious personal (real life) issue, Carib Jewel is currently in university, and therefore has responsibilities that extend beyond this game, and Chidori is leaving due to real life issues that are hampering him from playing this game well.

Yadda, yadda, yadda...You know, I had personal stuff that kept me from being able to play effectively too. Then I logged in to find that the leader of a tiny alliance had just raided me.

Stop making excuses.

"Constantly gets aided"? So, 2 aid packages worth 6mil total over a month is constant now? With all the aid you've distributed to your boys (in the area of 25-30mil), you should have had me ZI'd a long time ago.

Your army is ineffective. Your alliance is ineffective. You are ineffective.

Next, we are prepared for prolonged war against Soda if required. I've established a long-term plan of attack, which surely would bring his downfall. Just to give you a small glimpse, we have over ***** in reserve. However, aid slots and inactivity has been the greatest impact on our productivity. Not to mention small bumps along the way. I won't disclose details, but we still have some intensive plans up our sleeves.

Bringing me to the next point. I believe that you should eliminate the reps out of the peace. For us, noting our massive reserve, it would be easy for us to pay all money back. However, it would be a huge pain for you to pay them back. So it traps you in debt, and just gives our nations less to grow with. Hurts you more than it hurts us. Also, I agree with cowman. Those nations went against their alliance, so the reps sent and all further punishment against them is deserved according to their alliances' codes of conduct (charters).

All of a sudden you are concerned about my nation? Aww...I feel all cuddly.

In the end, I think some apologies for the initial raid from us, and plenty of apologies from you to everyone for the countless tricks and shameful moves you pulled off would be just fine. Clean up our messes, get our acts together, and move along. I'd be happy to see you wiped off the map personally (many others share same opinions), but I follow a common policy of "I'd rather have new friends than old enemies."

My proposal does clean up our messes.

GDI would repay 2/3 of the aid you extorted from those alliances. I cover the other 1/3. Which means that GDI keeps an amount equal to what was aided to me.

With all your talk about how these alliances are being dragged through the mud over this, I would think you would be all for making things right in that sense but I think it's obvious that you just used it as an excuse to profit from those alliances.

If you have such massive reserves, this should be no problem for you.

If I, a single unaligned nation, can repay 6MIL to those alliances surely a 20 man supergroup such as GDI can handle 12mil...

I'm prepared to offer peace to GDI.

These are the terms:

GDI will repay $6Mil of the reps they collected to TPF.

SodaPolPop will repay $3Mil of the reps to TPF.

GDI will repay $6Mil of the reps they collected to PUKE.

SodaPolPop will repay $3Mil of the reps to PUKE.

All payments will be made within 30 days to said Alliances.

If GDI or SodaPolPop fails to repay their share, said alliances are free to deal with them as they see fit.

This agreement is for mutual peace.

Neither side can declare victory or defeat.

These terms are not negotiable.

If GDI chooses not to agree to these terms, the aggression WILL continue indefinately.

Except that now it turns out that I was right about the first two I listed there being multis and they have since been deleted. I don't think that it's out of line to be suspicious of the guys in your alliance, when your allies are cheating.

He actually was in anarchy for a while. I had REC cause it... We only let up the attack because our attackers were kicked from the alliance for being multis and we reported them.

So was that before or after I reported them? Seems funny that the time I went into anarchy was the time that your alliance sent cheaters after me.

While I have a second here, I'd like to publicly state that I believe I was incorrect when I believed that the spy operation on your alliance by a member of GDI was ordered by GDI leadership.

Upon re-reading the message and thinking about it objectively, I realize that I most likely misinterpreted RyanGDI's meaning.

I'll just quote his message here. I have a screenshot, but I'd rather not create a photobucket or whatever just to post it when I'm pretty sure the quote won't be disputed:

I initially took this to mean that Reinom was spying on an alliance for GDI prior to officially joining GDI, and then after he joined went rogue on GDI as well.

After sober thought, I realize that most likely he meant that Reinom just joined them and then was found to be spying on the Freemasons independently (for what reason I can't even fathom), and GDI thought they might get me to do their dirty work for them in exchange getting off the dreaded GDI ZI list.

I had no intention of taking the deal anyway, and a few hours later RyanGDI changed his mind:

Here he is referring to a longtime trade partner who helped arrange an aid package for me.

I guess they thought he would turn his guns on me or something, but obviously that didn't happen and we continue to trade in harmony as we have for about a year now. Although RyanGDI would love for you to believe that I burned an ally for an aid package.

Anyway, I just wanted to clear up the spy accusation I made. Though I never intended to mislead with my statement to Charles the Great, I admit that I believe I was trying to connect dots that just weren't there.

Also, for the record, I've never played Counterstrike.

I am having trouble even considering any peace talks, considering that GDI leadership can't complete a thought without using personal insults (ooc even). Why would I consider peace when I can slowly drain GDI of it's infra, money, and morale.

My NS will fluctuate greatly during this war. I've acknowledged that from the start.

Sodapopolis has no intention of surrender either.

Not to mention his constant use of "newb" when my nation is twice as old as virtually every nation in his alliance, and I show more war experience than all of them added together.

Just to clear up a few things from the thread that was closed:

Yes, RyanGDI raided my nation.

Yes, Sodapopolis is engaging (and winning) against multiple GDI targets currently.

Sodapopolis was forced to retaliate against GDI alliance members because RyanGDI was out of range after he raided Sodapopolis and he is listed as the "Supreme Commander" of GDI. Therefore, his actions reflect the entire alliance.

We are a nation of Freedom Fighters.

We will fight until the bitter end.

We will destroy the GDI alliance.

There is no effective military strategy against our attacks (pay attention to the news).

I also gave them a reasonable peace offer of around 20 million or so (I forgot the exact amount). I have inflicted quite a bit more than that in damage already. Irrelevant really, because that offer has long since been off the table.

We thank those nations that have shown even moral support for our nation in these difficult times.

The nation of Sodapopolis has never surrendered to anyone. We aren't going to start now.

We are making a public call for GDI's annhilation.

We realize this call for aid will likely go unheard/unreplied, but as long as nations allow these weak alliances to bully them they will never change.

With no help, we will still accomplish our goals. For the freedom of the people of Sodapopolis!

Also, no. We don't take GDI seriously. How seriously should we take an alliance that has to call in their MDP to deal with one unaligned nation?
