This update will allow those who deserve to be in top 5% to be there. I for example never held full military, as I believed that it is pathetic stat boosting. I was at 2% before this update, now I am at 1.3%. Personally, I think my nation deserves to have that place, which I could have acheived by mobilizing. That being said, they still have bonus NS from their military, but that bonus is much smaller. NS range you can move in is much smaller now, which is definitely good thing. Before you could boost from 40k to 55k or more.

You can cry, or read what experts (Syzygy for example) have said. Income penalty from nukes means that any nuclear armed nation will lag in growth behind a non nuclear nation. So non nuclear nations will be able to overtake a nuclear nation. Also, please explain to me how did this hurt you, other then remove an exploit that allowed nations to slide into 5% just to buy nukes. Those at 7% who bought massive amounts of military to buy nukes are not top 5% nation.

Good change. I am quite happy that all those with bloated military to boost their NS, had it blow in their face. And for the record, those who have high military were not discriminated. All that happened is that artificial boost they had has been reduced, so cry all you want .

I think that we in TOP have started to buy tech on government level now. With our banking system so efficient , we have excess money which we then use to boost up our nations with tech defficiencies etc. I don't know what are numbers though. Problem for us is finding tech seller big enough to handle our requests. Right now most of our requests are handled by FOK, with several other alliances jumping in as well. So anyone capable of doing large tech sales could drop me a PM . We may be interested.

He can say bloated if he considers score to be indicator of strength/power. In that respect your score is bloated as RIA would most likely have no problem countering you in 1vs1 fight. It's nothing against you it's just that score cannot be used to judge power of alliances when they are radically different (for example in average NS). Oh, and TOP is number 9 NS wise and 12th score wise. I am very proud of it .

Didn't GATO merge with NHL (or similarily named alliance) ?
