  1. I hate it when people lie. Seems like the facts are being twisted.

Just admit it! You were bored and ran out of targets to tech raid. You needed a smaller alliance to pick on, so your picking on us.

Seems like your making up a reason to sound justified. Even the reason your giving isn't enough justification for an alliance war. Give it up.

If we were tech raiding, would be be discussing peace with your leadership right now?

  2. FARK tech raids us, we then defend our member, just to have FARK hit those members and then FARK continues to hit other members not even involved, and you state we escalated anything?

No, through December, there were multiple LPE raids of Fark which were irritating, but handled w/ the raiders. Things escalated when Dunder Mifflin (as you said, now deleted) attacked 2 or 3 Fark Nations. Fark responded back by declaring and PM'd asking to stop the raid and was basically told to by him to fark off. LPE then proceeded to add in additional "defenders" to help, one of which strikes Maximus Bluntus (Gravely Arthur). As Fark was defending against a raid, Arthur was countered and then more LPE joined in (KingRedViper, Dochartaigh, Sir Taefir Estavok) and attacked and anarchied Ironone for defending Fark. Fark responded and decided that since every time we attacked, we were getting hit back, we'd escalate to a full DoW. Nobody from LPE ever reached out to us, but rather continued to send additional attackers against Fark's original defense against Dunder Mifflin.

    /ooc geez guys, it's a game /ooc

  3. you do realize that FARK had hit us in a tech raid first. though the wars have been deleted. the fact that we hit back against a far superior force should indicate that Bluntis hit us first.

There in lies the discrepency. Now I'm not bringing round 2 into this, but this has been a constant issue with LPE raiding Fark repeatedly since then (regardless, we still would have DoW'd you guys from your actions in round 3, so what we've done is NOT dependent upon round 2--I'm just pointing it out to put it in context to show a past history of aggression towards us). You can claim all you want that LPE was raided first, but it's simply not the case, and of course the wars have been deleted on both sides. We're just tired of the constant one-off raids and are putting an end to it.

  4. You know you could've just said this is a glorified tech raid considering there's only one LPE war that isn't in defence of another member against Fark.

Beyond the raids that have been peaced out, expired and subsequently deleted. It's just been a pattern of this and they've been asked to stop.

  5. Unfortunately because of irreconcilable differences on both sides, Fark is canceling this treaty effective as of this post. We do sincerely wish GREAT the best of luck in this round and future rounds and hope that at some point in the future, we might develop a friendship that's once again worthy of a treaty. And I meant this wholeheartedly.

  7. funny what happens when you dogpile someone huh?

Only reason it was a dogpile was because your treaty partners (or most of them) didn't follow through. On paper during the planning of this war, it was actually very evenly matched when we looked at all the treatied partners for MI. It became a curbstomp, but could've been much different.

  8. a new formula for alliance strength >.>

    sigh

in TE its quantity that dominates...

    I suggest ((alliance nations / total nations * 1,000) + (alliance strength / 10,000)) / 3

This should prevent alliances with 50k NS to be sanctioned

I agree that the score calculations need to change. Take a look at the current round. I can think of no reason that MI should be ranked as number one at this point:

    ns.gif

MHA has them beat by a multiple of 2 or 3 in each category and only has a handful of fewer nations. I don't know what the calc. should be, but it definitely needs to be adjusted. I don't know of anyone that would say Murder Inc is the number one alliance in anything other than total nations currently. And if the round ended today, based on current stats, they'd win the round (which seems odd given the curbstomp they were just in).

And FYI, I have nothing against Murder Inc... just trying to get a better scoring system in place. :D

Judgment Offers a White (Peace) Christmas

With Murder Inc's recent announcement of a change in their policy, Judgment will be moving towards achieving peace with Murder Inc and her allies by Christmas Day. It should be recognized, however, that a single posting on the OWF about a change in policy does very little to encourage trust in Murder Inc given it's history of aggression and its stance that this war would last until the end of the round. Continued aggressive posting and trolling on the OWF combined with continued war declarations against Judgment nations by Murder Inc and her allies make an immediate cease in hostilities unattainable.

With that said, the following policy is enacted as of this post:

    • All Judgment/Murder Inc and MI allied nations (henceforth referred to as Murder Inc) shall cease any war declarations as of update tomorrow, 12/19.
    • All Existing wars against Murder Inc and against Judgment will be allowed to run their natural course through to expiration or Christmas Eve, 12/24, whichever comes first. Peace offers are optional, but may be made by either individual nation involved in combat. It is not a guarantee or requirement that an offer of peace is accepted.
    • Any Murder Inc nation that declares against Judgment after 12/19 will be given 48 hours notice to cease all war operations and offer peace and will be open targets for Judgment retaliation. No Murder Inc nations are permitted to re-engage Judgment retaliators.
    • Any Judgment nation that declares against Murder Inc after 12/19 will be given 48 hours notice to cease all war operations and offer peace and will be open targets for Murder Inc retaliation. No Judgment nations are permitted to re-engage Murder Inc retaliators.
    • Any wars that will go past update on Christmas Eve will be peaced out immediately prior to update on Christmas Eve. A 48 hour grace period will be given for wars that extend into Christmas as long as no additional attacks take place on either side. If additional attacks do occur during this time, the defending side may engage that nation at will and no retaliatory strikes against those defenders will be permitted.

There are no additional terms of peace. Any events that are not covered in this peace offer will be resolved diplomatically between Judgment and Murder Inc and her allies.

As of Christmas Day, Judgment and Murder Inc will be considered to be at peace. Any additional strikes after update on 12/26 by either side will be resolved diplomatically between Judgment and Murder Inc prior to retaliatory strikes.

  10. The committee does not approve of this statement of elborrador.

This treaty was signed by MI's CEO, MoFA, and MoI. According to the charter, those are more than enough signatures.

Can you guys please agree and clarify your government. Any talks towards peace will fail if we don't know that we're speaking with the actual MI gov.

  11. Yes it is your opinon, but calling someone, or a group of someones, cheaters in your opinion is rude. When your opinion is counter to the actual published rules, it is very rude.

There is a difference between saying "I think re-rolling is a sucky strategy" and "I think you are a cheat". You have to know that.

This post I can understand--and I agree with you that my choice of words was perhaps a poor one and given the rules that exist within TE at this point, I'll apologize to anyone that I've offended by using the word "cheating".

. I do see your point, Machiabelly, and did not take it into consideration in my original post.

I'll rephrase it to say "I don't believe it's within the spirit of the game, even if it complies with all of the rules as laid forth by the powers that be".

  12. I hate having to make serious posts in this forum...

You have NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to decide who plays this game. NONE. Unless your username is in a color other than the default, you have NO RIGHT AT ALL to decide that. Now, if someone commits some horrible OOC attack, then yes, I can understand. But that is not the case here. And YOU DON'T DECIDE what is or isn't cheating either. Again, your name is in the default color, not in a moderator color, so that is NOT for you to decide. And last I checked, the mods/admins did not consider rerolling to be cheating. You're welcome to your opinion, but to call someone a cheater when they haven't broken a rule, or to tell them they have no right to play the game because they rerolled and attacked you (I mean, come on, it's not even a semi-serious game like CN, it's !@#$@#$ TE). Now, if they're using their reroll to get back at you (as I did to MI), you're more than welcome to attack them as if they're the same person. But to hunt people down when they're not bothering you anymore and tell them that they have no right to play... ridiculous. It's ridiculous in CN:S and it's doubly ridiculous in CN:TE because this is supposed to be non-serious. And yet I keep having to make these posts, because someone's got to.

    -Bama

    EDIT:

I just may have to do that if your enemies remain intent on assuming your old mantle of OMG GAME RUINERS. :P

Whoa. Dude, relax. I never claimed anything you're spouting off about. Like I said, it was my opinion only and I recognize re-rolling as part of the game and Judgment as taken it into account w/ our counter-strategies. Again, whether or not it's cheating in my opinion doesn't matter--according to the rules of the game, it's not cheating. According to the spirit of the game, I don't think Admin ever intended for people to perpetually re-roll. But I'm not Admin, so I don't know. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. You don't have any right to tell me what my opinion can or can't be.

And nowhere did I say we'd hunt re-rollers down. It's the people who use the peace terms to get out of their wars, and then re-roll to come back and fight w/ MI again that are the issue. If you leave the war and aren't bugging anyone, that's what we want--there's no REASON WHATSOEVER that we'd attack them. They've done what they've promised as will we.

I don't know what's gotten you all torqued up, but my posts were my opinions on matters--again my opinions.

  13. Arcane, now I'm accidentally following you across threads. Your refusal to play the game within the rules set out by its creators is baffling to me. "Well, if the scoring system was completely different, then the things I'm doing would put me and my group higher than yours, even though that isn't the case under the real scoring system! And while we're at it, if the rules allowing re-rolls for nations devastated by war were different, you wouldn't be able to use it as part of your strategy, and that would change things, too. So even though you can still win quite easily here thanks to participating within the actual rules, in my alternate world, where the rules are all completely different, we win!"

    Baffling.

lol.. boy you sure don't follow along well do you? My point with the above was to show that yes, you are the number one alliance in the game right now--I don't dispute that at all. But using that as the primary measurement is a faulty point of view when you consider other important aspects such as avg. NS and anarchy status. MHA, for example is in much better shape than you and I find it hard to believe that anyone would truly think you're number one in anything other than rank.

As far as re-rolls....do you really think admin put the ability to delete and re-roll purposely into the game as a strategy? Come on.. wake up. I'm playing within the guidelines of the rules. I'm not sure how i'm not playing within the rules as our strategy is designed to deal with re-rolling nations as well. But whatever. I can sense your anger. It makes you stronger.

  14. No it isn't. When the little brat dumps the board, everybody else has to restart too...

Ok.. so let's use another analogy. We box for 10 rounds. You get beaten down and then say "hey, I'm done fighting, but here's someone else nice and refreshed" after you've beaten on me too. And then your "buddy" comes in bigger than you were when you left w/ more infra and a larger warchest. Just doesn't make sense to me. You start with a nation, you finish with that nation. You live with the consequences of your choices (whether it's attacking someone and getting beaten down, or being part of an alliance at the wrong time). You shouldn't get a do-over. IMO.

  15. It's a shame that some ghosts and posers who only joined MI because they thought it would mean never having to fight will go for this. It's funny, though, that Judgment can only really win by talking people into leaving MI. It doesn't matter how many anarchies we have, how many battles you fight, how many soldiers you kill, if everyone in MI just stays in MI, we'll still win the round.

That's right, fellow members. All you have to do to remain a member of the round-winning alliance is refuse to knuckle under. Keep your AA on Murder, Inc. Re-roll when you're crushed and come back as Murder, Inc. Anarchy as many people as possible every chance you get, and keep proudly flying that Murder, Inc. flag, and we will win. No matter how many people try to re-define "win" involving NS, or wars, or anarchy, or anything else, if we all stay true to MI, we will be able to point to our name when the real winner is announced.

No, this may not let you "build your nation" this round, but what does that matter? All of those little pixels will be gone in February. Gone forever, with no more meaning whatsoever. But you will retain the bragging rights of helping your alliance to WIN. AGAIN.

Or you can go running to judgment like a cowardly, beaten dog, with your tail between your legs. It's up to you to make the decision you can live with. I know what I'll be doing.

lol... our goal hasn't been to get Murder Inc out of the top slot. I could care less who wins the round. The goal of Judgment all along has been to eliminate Murder Inc as a threat against our Allies. If that means continually re-engaging your re-rolled nations, so be it. (BTW, re-rolling is akin to cheating, IMHO. It's the same as the little brat that's mad because he's losing at Monopoly and dumps the board so he can start over. "Oh, I got beaten down, so I'm gonna delete my nation and start over again! Look at me, I can attack people now that I've gotten a reset!". And this is MY OPINION ONLY and does not reflect any Judgment opinion other than my own).

  16. Prior to this war we had an average nation strength greater than half of the sanctioned alliances. I remember comparing. Your points are true, but not very valid. You can't say that Murder Inc had an incredibly low average nation strength.

No, but consider this. MI has lost about 65% of it's total NS w/ the average NS dropping to well below half. About 78% of MI is in anarchy w/ avg NS of 579 (which is 57th place out of 61 alliances). MI is currently ranked 5th in terms of total NS. The ONLY thing keeping MI in first place right now is the total number of nations flying the MI AA. If that didn't play such a large part in the score calculation, MI wouldn't be on top still.

  17. sorry but this is complete and utter !@#$%^&* ZIing an entire alliance? and you say murder inc was acting thugish. its good to know the true character of judgement alliances though.

Where did I say ZI'ing an entire alliance??? That is ABSOLUTELY NOT the case. The only threat of ZI are for those people who agree to leave the war under the terms laid forth and then decide that they want to come back in and attack Judgment.

Terms for Murder Inc. people who stay with Murder Inc are not set out yet. These are for those people that want to leave.

  18. judgmentdow.jpg

To All Murder Inc Nations Who Are Seeking Peace:

Any nation wishing to achieve peace in this war may do so by switching off of the Murder Inc AA and offering peace to their attackers. YOU MAY DO SO BY EITHER SWITCHING TO JUDGMENT POW STATUS OR BEING ACCEPTED BY ANOTHER ALLIANCE NOT ALLIED WITH MURDER INC. YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN PEACE IF YOU CONTINUE TO FLY THE MURDER INC. AA, AND WILL BE RE-ENGAGED IF YOU RE-ENTER AS A MURDER INC. NATION.

By seeking peace from Judgment, you agree to not re-engage ANY Judgment Coalition Alliance during this round of TE, including re-rolling your nation and re-engaging. Violators of the peace terms will be targeted for ZI for the remainder of the round.

This is a list of ALL Murder Inc. nation rulers as of the start of Battle. If you seek peace through this agreement and we find you back under the Murder Inc. banner, YOU WILL BE ZI'D AND KEPT IN ZI FOR THE REMAINDER OF THIS ROUND. This may be your ONLY chance at exiting this war without additional penalties or terms being put in place.

Should you seek peace from Judgment attackers. PM your attacker with the following AFTER you have changed your AA:

    Subject: Peace Request

Body: I am seeking peace from your attacks under the terms given on the OWF here:

    http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=42570

I understand and agree to the terms laid forth in that posting and realize the consequences of re-engaging in this fight are perma-ZI for the remainder of Round 3.

  19. Doesn't having lots of members contribute to an alliance's dominance? I don't see how having so many nations takes away from anything.

The number doesn't take anything away. But it does dramatically affect the alliance's ranking. In the end, it doesn't mean very much though. But just because you have say a football team of 200 first graders it doesn't mean they're gonna fair well putting them up against 11 people on a pro team. Maybe a bad analogy, but you get the idea.

  20. Of course though, leaving that "Unnamed alliance" clause in the list of Judgment alliances is basically saying "Any band-wagoners who wish to join us can! We'll just say you were in the planning with us from the beginning" to justify their entrance.

EDIT: We've been in war for a week, just announce everyone already.

And tip our hand at the 13 other alliances that are behind us?

Seriously, though, if someone was bandwagonning, I'd say it. I've had other requests from folks to join Judgment and have turned them down:

My alliance would like to join your Coalition however we had a bit of a misunderstanding with -DELETED- which we are currently working out.

Hi... while we certainly appreciate your interest in joining the coalition, unfortunately no additional alliances will be allowed to join, as Murder Inc. has clearly stated that anyone piling on (which is really what it would be at this point) would be targeted for retribution, whether now or in the future. We'd ask that you please stay in a neutral role when it concerns the conflict, but perhaps we can fight side by side in a future war. Sound ok to you?
