STA did not achieve any victory of sort. They did a very silly thing by attacking our member and despite the fact that they didn't pay any reparations, I'd say we won the moral victory.
Heh, whatever helps you sleep at night.

She didn't get hurt in the process whereas your alliance actually did inflict harm by attacking Merrie Melodies. Nice try but the analogy doesn't fit.
A wife who isn't hurt when her husband breaks up with her? You must not have much experience with the opposite sex.

And your analogy wouldn't fit either considering we didn't kill MM, merely harmed his nation.

A MoIA according to our charter does not have the power to cancel treaties and Merrie Melodies did not leave \m/ and I do not know why CSM said he did. Heck he didn't even change his AA yet.

He didn't come back, he never even left in the first place.

No he didn't, he said he was thinking about it and not at any point did he confirm he was going to go rogue on STA.

No, you attacked someone based on threats that didn't occur yet. It's for example, your wife saying she is going to kill you after an argument and then you go kill her because you thought she was being serious.

He didn't leave and thus is still aligned to \m/ as his Alliance Affliction states.
A Minister of Internal Affairs who doesn't seem to know who is a part of the alliance and who isn't? That's rich.

Edit: It's more like your wife saying she'll cheat on you and you breaking up with her before she actually does.

Care to post screenies of my rogue activity?
A nation claimed to be unaligned by the government of the alliance he belonged to making threats against our nations. I think you've already read the logs so no need for screenies.

I'm going to clarify a few things to make it clear.

Chief Savage Man does not have the executive powers to act on behalf of \m/ as a triumvirate in their absence.

Merrie Melodies is still a member of \m/.

Merrie Melodies did not at any point confirm he was going to go rogue on STA.

STA attacked someone based on an assumption.

    STA illegally attacked someone.
I'm going to clarify a few things to make it clear.

Chief Savage Man spoke to our gov, as a member of \m/ gov.

It is not the STA's responsibility to know which \m/ gov members can be trusted and which ones can't. If someone can't make decisions, don't let them talk to other alliance's govs in regards to decisions.

Chief Savage Man told us MM was no longer a \m/ember.

MM told us he WILL be attacking our own member.

STA attacks MM who, as we are told by \m/ gov, is no longer a \m/ember.

    STA did nothing illegal.

There, I fixed the chain of events for you.
It is not the STA's responsibility to have your charter memorized. If you have members who are in your government acting like they have the authority to make decisions and informing us who is and who isn't in your alliance, then they are speaking on behalf of your alliance. It wasn't a wacky regular member that will be kicked out. It was a member of your government, though one that seems to have no power. What is the point of government members with no power?

  7.
This is where I wouldn't pre-empt them, but be on guard if/when they do.

Until they actually do the action of going rogue, it's just drivel, hyperbole.

I could spout off about going rogue on Legion nations, but until I actually do, they can't really do much.
But if you publicly (or at least to the Legion) tell them you're going to go rogue on them and then another government member tells Legion you have left \m/, Legion is wrong for attacking you first?

This is the line above the section of logs that Pez posted,

<Merrie_Melodies> Peztar I may drop the AA and rogue so until I decide

This is going to be fun watching you squirm your way out of this one.
And this, coupled with a different government member confirming MM is no longer in the alliance means we shouldn't attack him? Mmmhmm.

  9.
Your Boss has em, get them from him.
But one of your regular members seems to have access to gov logs and is saying the logs Pez posted are not complete. Why doesn't he prove they are not complete and post full logs since he seems to have read them and has full access to your gov.

  10.
No, it was "selective" posting of logs. He left out bits to make it look all rosy and dandy but the reality is that STA committed unwarranted attacks on one of our members.
Since you seem to know so much, share the full logs with us then.

  11.
Cease your unwarranted attacks on Merrie Melodies immediately, first of all he hadn't gone "rogue" on STA, secondly he's still in \m/, thirdly he was just posturing. I thought STA were trying to be moralistic yet they tarnish themselves by pre-emptively attacking someone.

    We'll be expecting reparations.

    Still wearing the AA.
Ah, right, no rogue has ever worn an AA of an alliance they didn't belong to.

Edit: An the only thing one must do to become a member of Viridian Entente is to change their AA to Viridian Entente, correct?

  13.
So did the STA really attack an \m/ member before this was announced and notwithstanding the fact that the attacked nation had not launched any more attacks?

    http://www.cybernations.net/search_wars.asp?search=272280&Extended=1

I'm too tired to do math. Just asking.
No, STA attacked a \m/ember who has told his alliance he was leaving and told us he was going to rogue one of our members.

  14.
Read what... That you're 'doing something' about \m/ raiding the GGA AA so that you can raid it as well? Same ol' selfishness we see from every alliance these days, wouldn't want anyone let a badly beaten AA rest in peace.

    Ezequiel.
The STA tech-raiding policies prohibit tech-raiding any nation that is displaying an AA other than NONE. Thanks for trying, though :)

  15.
I can respect and understand where STA is coming on from this - but tech raiding is still allowable. It is condoned by alliances across Planet Bob. Decorum among raiders is respectable but I still abhor the practice itself.

So while I applaud STA to set a precedent from this slap in the face, I wouldn't be surprised if this continues.
We are not trying to stop tech raiding. But claiming a disbanded alliance as your personal property to raid and destroy is something we don't like.

I love being in the STA :)

  16. It is located at the end of the URL when you view the "View my nation" page.

When I view that page, for example, I see this in the URL bar at the top of the browser:

    http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=146406

Everything after Nation_ID= is my nation id, or 146406 in this case.

Edit: If this is your nation: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=379354

Then your nation ID would be 379354

Simple Maths, fighting a nation with 5k,10k tech and no infra hurts those attacking far more. Fighting 2 or 3 on 1 hurts those attacking far more. Now the war has reached this phase TOP will be kicking out much more damage then they are taking, ofc they can't win, but it's not a great for CnG either the longer this goes on, they lose warchests, tech and infra that is actually worth something rather then the 0-1k Infra TOP are losing.
Simple Maths, CnG and co have enough nations that they can keep rotating and rebuilding and collecting decent back-collects in between wars if necessary.

  18.
It also means that our damage output per nation average is far greater than yours
Well you can only be nuked once per day, but you can potentially nuke 6 people. So the outnumbered side would be doing more damage per nation. It's how the war system is set up when you use nukes as the majority of your damage.
