Gentlemen and gals, I regret that the premise of my above mentioned post did not attain a favorable solution. I am still somewhat new and trying to understand the dynamics of how and when to wage war. Thus, please note this announcement, as at this time I must take back the offer to not wage war on alliances who feel otherwise and wish not to be confronted. As I understand it, TE is about waging war and improving your alliance.

Arcane, are you still interested? If FARK wants to go a few rounds with LE, that would be fun. Maybe a 3 or 5 day battle. Then we send peace and have a few beers in the pub How about Friday or Saturday lasting 5 days.

Thaisport, Very good indeed. One item to consider is perhaps extend the war greater than 5 days due to the large amount of nations involved. It's going to take a lot of time and effort just to organize this. May as well let it play out for awhile. Thanks thaisport for this suggestion. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Can someone let me know what the 'proper' amount of time before the war starts to declare it publicly? Also, is there someplace I can go to see the current treaties that Alliances have? How do y'all track which alliance has a treaty with who?

I apologize, I nearly forgot we do have a NAP with MHA. We will not consider attacking them:)

Our alliance is rather new to TE. We are a pretty close bunch and we currently have 3 open positions for new members. If anyone is interested, please send me a message in game. We are quite the simple alliance, with no treaties (except NAP with MHA). We have an active and fun forum and many of us share a common enjoyment of historic aviation. cheers

Good Morning folks, To add some excitement into TE, our Alliance will go to war within the next 10 days. LE, is currently ranked # 13, and to promote good sportsmanship we will declare only on an Alliance ranked above us. At this time, I haven't considered which alliance we should war with. I know about 4 people in this game, so please don't take our 'war' personally as the only reason for this upcoming 'war' will simply be for 'fun'. If your Alliance is ranked # 1 - 12, and do not wish to be declared upon please let me know. The war will last for five days. No surrender/peace terms need to be dealt with. Last war with NAAW, this process took way too long. I have a wife, children, and a life I would prefer to be with rather than hanging out on IRC going round and round. I suspect many of y'all would rather go out on dates, drink cheap beer, and be away from the computer as well. At the end of 5 days we will simply send peace. Anyone that doesn't accept peace, we can just assume they want to continue the war. I understand that many of the top alliances have a complex web of treaties and any act of war may certainly trigger other Alliances to step in. While obviously, I can't control other Alliances from stepping in, you can see that I have tried to make this as 'fair' as possible. By attacking a larger alliance I certainly feel that we are not 'gaining' any unfair advantages. If other Alliances wish to join in and counter attack LE, we can accommodate them as well. Our only real asset against fighting significant odds 'if' Alliance after Alliance is called in 'per treaty', is our nuclear arsenal. I'll ask the LE members to only use nukes if they get nuked first by the main alliance we declare upon, and/or any alliance(s) that enter the war to skew the balance. This seems fair to me as the only way to keep the war somewhat competitive for all sides.

Just curious and still learning the game... Does CE have any alliance/treaties? Do the treaties not get initialized even if there are numerous raids allowed as long as a DOW isn't proclaimed?

Azaghul, I couldn't agree more. I'm trying to figure out why Alliances are so wrapped in treaties rather than wars. Within another post, arcane made a valid point on how boring CE has become. I can understand where friendships exist thus the lack of willingness to declare on each other. Perhaps even protect each other. If something isn't done then wars and excitement to some will be few and far between. The bigger the Alliances get the less they are willing to risk, and thus 'action' takes place in mere raids. I have found that I strongly prefer Alliance wars more fun rather than individual tech raids.

KingDingAling, if this is true and NAAW rejected the peace, please consider LE in a continued state of war with NAAW. Our support for Blackwater remains solid. Even though we are effectively at war, I've asked the members of LE to hold off on further attacks until 1500 tomorrow. Perhaps by that time a final peace can be accepted by your alliance. I'm still hoping to resolve this war by the weekend. I have plans:)

I want to apologize again for being a newbie and not quite using the proper terms and formalities in my above post. LE has made peace with NAAW and GDA on the understanding that all the alliances involved were seeking peace. Being a dope, I thought this war was settled and over. If it starts up again, LE will communicate in advance our position before entering the conflict. It's tough enough being in this conflict but it was not my intent to upset or confuse our Allies or GDA/NAAW. I admit, at the time of the discussion last night, I assumed a cease fire is the same as peace, go home the party is over. Obviously, now I see there is a difference. I'm super glad because I wasn't sure what to spend my time doing this weekend, and was really hoping I could hang out with y'all for more fun

A quick LE status- After lengthy discussions with all participants a cease fire has been agreed to. LE nations are standing down and sending/accepting peace from GDA/NAAW nations. Also, all sanctions that I put forth, will be removed asap. I hope this peace will last, if for no better reason than these Alliance wars take up too much real life time:)

Thanks for the kudos<S> James, indeed I did enjoy speaking with you as well. GDA, I don't fault you for supporting an alliance with NAAW. I do firmly believe that you could have averted this had you tried sincerely. NAAW may have been willing to accept peace if they knew their Allies did not agree with the premise of the war. Here again, we return to the premise and our major disagreement. I believe that small alliances have the right to defend themselves when pushed too far, even with the absence of treaties. LE is standing up for this belief. Now the unfortunate part simply is that GDA is on the opposite side, thus supporting the destruction of 'said' belief. Furthermore, each day this continues, while LE nation is blown apart one by one, the only lasting affect will be the illumination that NAAW and GDA when tied by treaties may act as 'tyrants' when applicable...because well...they can.

<S> This is difficult to believe. Surely, GDA could have used it's influence with NAAW to settle the war before your attack on LE. This war can end once an apology is made. I mean this with no disrespect, but only because I'm a relative new person that I will ask anyways. Is there a point where the mega-sized alliances simply feel that maybe they have gone too far against comparably small alliances? This is going to sting, but Roman Empire, GDA, and NAAW, you have turned into the exact virtual tyrant that y'all fought against MI for. I suppose Judgment was short lived and has been replaced by absolutism.
