  1. Hail MHA and thaisport, I'm quite pleased to hear 'good feelings' spoken regarding this war. MHA is a classic example of a fine Alliance that is well led. As always, I wish you the very best.
  2. <S> = Salute...sign of respect Beazy, I appreciate the comment. Tracer whom I consider a very good friend is by far more calm than I... Just ask Janitor In our other game...I'm slightly insane
  3. Thaisport <S>, Your good people. I've always enjoyed reading your words and communicating with you. Good luck to you and MHA.
  4. Ti kanis Alexandros. My son's name as well. Good luck with your Hellenic alliance.
  5. Hail Ceasar, I've enjoyed and respected your view(s) on the forum. Good luck next round<S>
  6. Poobar, I love your avatar! That's the emblem of the famed RCAF 416 Squadron. Quite the history of fighting the Luftwaffe in WWII.
  7. Obviously I'm not one towards wishing for more treaties. I enjoyed this round, which is mostly due to our new alliance. For me, it was difficult to walk the fine line between having fun with wars while being respectful. We all want to fight in wars (more action), but it is also important to do so without ill feelings. I now understand the closeness between alliances such as GDA and RE. With or without a treaty certain alliances simply share a bond of mutual protection. I feel that way towards MASH, CDT, and BW. What better way to have fun than fighting in a war alongside your friends. I really enjoyed getting to know several of the community leaders. Lots of terrific people out there. LE rotates leadership each round, so I will be stepping down and going back to my life:) Now where did thaisport place that martini???
  8. Ceasar, GDA and RE at this time. MHA has been kind to LE and we will honor our NAP unless thaisport says otherwise.
  9. Lafayette Escadrille will join the Rebel cause
  10. Sounds like a good idea. I'll see if Lafayette Escadrille wants to play as well.
  11. <S> Thaisport Over these past few months I have enjoyed your intellect and 'humor' on these forums. Good luck sir Gin Martini if you please
  12. Oh my, the Mighty Luftwaffe has appeared. <S> JG27
  13. Indeed, we are. About 50 of our membership are friends from another game which has built a strong friendship amongst us. We have known each other for about 10 years. This makes running a TE alliance a bit easier due to our high level of cooperation and communication. It's funny because in our other game we compete against each other, since we tend to belong to different WWII squadrons. So while over there we argue and debate (like any online game), we tend to get along fairly well over here. A few links that might be interesting to any a/c geeks out there... http://www.squadselectseries.com/ is where we compete Here is the squadron that I belong to. http://www.31stfightergroup.com/
  14. Hail Ceasar Good idea and thanks for setting this up. 1 treaty-NAP with MHA. Can you use my avatar graphic for our alliance logo? cheers
  15. bastardofgod I do sincerely apologize if my words came across as insulting to Judgment and it's alliance nations. It wasn't my intent even though perhaps I was carried away with my choice of words when I wrote the DoW. You and James are amongst the few individuals I have spoken with outside of LE and I have enjoyed our conversations. I fully expect that Judgment and LE will find ourselves at war quite soon. In my eyes, this is merely in the spirit of the game, and no ill feelings will arise. My personal feelings is that perhaps the game can be enhanced by Alliances engaging more often, either for 'treaties' or a 'stance' on protecting smaller alliances. bastardofgod, either way, I see this as a fitting end to the round, don't you?
  16. Gentlemen, A few days ago the small alliance of Rodentia Dominatus with 16 members was attacked by several members of OJ. Rodentia Dominatus without having the means to defend themselves put up the best fight they could muster. By the next day, OJ had launched 4 nukes even though Rodentia Dominatus had none. Rodentia Dominatus has asked the members of Lafayette Escadrille to support them in this struggle and this is a call we will answer. Certainly relations between Alliances are bound by friendship and common interests as treaties are created for mutual cooperation. Judgment is an example or GDA-RE is a testimony to that. I have never uttered a word of disappovement when these treatied alliances have waged war regardless of what appeared was a one sided fight based on the numbers of nations that were brought forth. I kept my alliance out of these past mega-wars because I felt that some of these alliances have brought the wrath upon themselves. While I can applaud the friendship of these Alliances to work together, their path is different than the path of Lafayette Escadrille. Throughout this round most of our wars we engaged in were out of protection for smaller alliances. I have been amused many times when I read alliance after alliance pound on their chest with their intent to support each other while they greatly outnumber the enemy. Yes, this may be considered a sign of friendship and support even though this round has shown it simply isn't always necessary. What are these bonds of support and where do they end? Is overwhelming an enemy a testimony of strength? I would believe it is easy for the strongest alliances to puff out their chest and pat each other on the back when there is nothing to lose. With the exception of a single treaty (NAP with MHA) we have none of these bonds that other alliances possess. While I will never be so bold as to tell other Alliances their business, I can share with you that I feel the real strength of a bond of friendship is when the risk is greatest and the cause is just. It has been a challenge for me to juggle the basic premise of this game with the good will intent that is important to me. Since the early days of this round we have fought for the smaller alliances and nothing in my eyes can be a more fitting finish for Lafayette Escadrille to end on this note. I have asked the members of LE not to use nuclear weapons against OJ. However, if an OJ nation decides to use this weapon then LE will do as well. I understand that Judgment may feel the need to enter this war. Certainly I understand if MHA announces they wish to cancel the NAP treaty as the provision allows. Compared to the might of Judgment we are rather small but we are quite prepared to wage a long, fierce, and friendly war. I have witnessed the results of alliances at war with Judgment. The nations of Lafayette Escadrille will use all our weapons (nukes) to defend ourselves. Good luck to all particpants and let's end this round in fine style.
  17. <S> and thanks Charles the Great. The members of Aztec are top notch in my book. I wish you all the very best. If you ever find yourself in need of a friend, I hope you will consider LE.
  18. Arcane<S> and good luck with your war. I've enjoyed the attitude that your alliance members have displayed.
  19. Lafayette Escadrille is declaring the war with Aztecs is over. We will begin to pull back and offer peace to all Aztec nations. Our defense of our nations will be our only action. While, I only had the opportunity to speak with a couple of members of Aztecs, the overall feeling we have is this is a very classy Alliance. In the future, we look forward to coordinating actions on friendly terms if the leaders of Aztecs are willing. I have asked the members of LE to provide a three day protection of the Aztec alliance against raiders. This will do while they are in the rebuilding stages. Again, thanks to the Aztec nations for your competition and friendliness. We wish you well<S>
  20. Jenko <S> and good luck. I wish you all the best. We (LE) were in a similar situation at the beginning of the round when Judgment declared on MI. We stood by MI and took it on the chin. Even though at the time it hurt, we are now a much better alliance because of this.
  21. The members of LE wish you and United Nations the best of luck. It's a difficult position that you find yourself in, however I'm glad your stepping up rather than allow UN to wither away.
  22. Quite the shame. Sorry to read this.
  23. Excellent post and well written. Good luck to all participants.
  24. Effective immediately Lafayette Escadrille is considered in a state of war with the alliance Aztecs. We will continue this war for a period of 5 days where as we will then seek peace. Our nuclear weapons will not be used against Aztecs, unless they use their weapons first. We do however reserve the right to use our nukes against any other Alliance that declares on Lafayette Escadrille while we are facing the Aztecs. I understand that the Aztec alliance has recently been attacked by various rogue nuke nations. We will intentionally try to avoid those nations that have recently been hit and sent to anarchy. Unlike most of the wars I have witnessed this conflict is simple with it's premise and no personal conflicts exist between our two Alliances. After several weeks of viewing the Alliances within TE, I have found that the Aztecs are the closest in strength to Lafayette Escadrille, and that they are currently ranked above us. This simple truth allows two alliances to confront each other in as fair a scenario possible given the confines of this game. I and the members of Lafayette Escadrille wish the best of luck to the nations of Aztec.
