  1. Schröder proceeded through the proper forms observing the relevant etiquette of the athenian court before proceeding to the business at hand, giving a nod to his Foreign minister. With no delay, Velimir of Metternich began, "Your grace, Austria was both honored and humbled by your invitation. With the fall of Germania, and the rise of a new Europe it seems most appropriate that the two of us might be natural partners in shaping the character of Europe's future. We have come to discuss both the future of our own people and how the two of us might cooperate on the greater project of the continent."

Alexander continued, "Yes it seems apparent that there is great policy overlap between our two nations. To this end we would be quite interested in both formalizing relations, and opening up channels of trade and intercourse- if not effecting an explicit agreement to collaborate on matters of defense."

Executive Chairman, Alexander Schröder arrived in athens early this morning, he was accompanied by two auxiliaries, a political/security operative Viktor Konrad, and the Foreign Minister Velimir of Metternich. The envoy was dispatched by helicopter from Vienna upon the invitation of the Hellenic leadership. Transport was undisrupted, and their visit is not anticipated to last longer than a few days.

  3. So first reactions, on a scale of zero to ragequit how annoyed are you by all the adjustments you are having/will have to make to the web? Do you feel like the collective unconscious is singling you out and forcing all these alterations just to make your project difficult?

  4. Seeing this said by someone I've always considered a MK member despite the AA switch is no surprise. Although I'm sure TOP's wellbeing is now your highest priority after being accepted, rather than joining to make sure they remain a loyal MK puppet.

It is pretty clear to everyone you have no idea what you are talking about.

  5. Allow me to play "none's advocate" here a give you some cons to joining an alliance.

Perhaps the biggest reason (and in my opinion the only reason that may be worth it) NOT to join an alliance:

You lose the ability to control your own military.  You are not allowed to decide for yourself what is and what is not worth fighting for, when to fight and when to avoid fighting (even if someone does something that annoys you and in your opinion deserves to be attacked - you can't) and even who to fight

You don't decide that, and unlike what most people may think, your alliance leaders don't decide it either.  Warfare on CN is done at the "coalition" level, so even individual alliance leaders with a ton of other nations under their control still have to interact with other alliance leaders - at least if they want to maintain their power to any extent.

When you are not in an alliance, sure - you may be attacked.  However you can decide for yourself how to respond - fight back, take peace, fight for a while and then take peace AND if for some reason the nations attacking you refuse peace (which most will not at this point in CN history anyway) what better reason to fight a long hard war than to defend YOUR borders?

Irrespective of white chocolate's narrow perspective, no reason is required to fight, for war is not a means, but an end in itself.
