Welcome back iMatt! Fit with an alliance is a multivariate issue. There are some alliances that I could never join because I feel that their general game-play philosophy is different to my own but I also realize that I would probably be happy in at least a dozen different alliances. You would be an asset to any alliance (and many will know this) so hopefully you'll find somewhere where you are happy!

I can trust you to use the word multivariate

I saw your application to the NpO, you made a good choice, the NPO have silly amount of reps to repay and the NpO is the next best thing.

I actually did consider the NPO first, then realized they were still paying reps and didn't want to be restricted that way.

Of course, NpO has been going a bit nuts. Starting wars then changing sides, that sort of thing. Their trust level has plummeted lately.

True, but we'll see how things go! -
What would be the first thing you look for in your new home? I'm curious to see what others see as important in an alliance.
I'm expecting the answer to be "activity" (forum and/or IRC), but would like to hear what your second most needed quality is if that one is your first!
I'll post mine as well, later when I've got some time. -
Informative, even if you don't have a forum to worry about
-
Congrats GGA
-
I would wish you guys good luck, but I don't approve of how this went, and if I were in any GGA member's shoes I would also have left for greener pastures. I don't see how you guys thought this was a good idea. I'd heard of this being tossed around before, but you really didn't go the right way about it. At all.
Good luck to the members of GGA in deciding what your next move will be. -
Congrats fellaz. Big fan here, good luck in the future I'm sure you'll do great!
-
Great move guys - this is good to see.
good work Zenith and all yall;)

The removal of the word "poor" or the removal of the prefix "in-" from "inhumane" are the 2 easiest solutions. The former one is probably better.
Correct, since "a poor history of humane treatment..." doesn't really have the same ring, or emphasize the "inhumane"-ness of it all.
Also; the word "poor" as defined by some people above as qualifying the word "history" (as in a bad history) gives a natural bias in a role-play sense to those who believe being inhumane to your citizens is indeed a bad thing. But that's just a small thing..
Take out the word "poor", and it retains all of the same information at no cost to the reader.
-
It can be read both ways,
...that has a (poor history) of inhuman treatment of its citizens, or
...that has a poor (history of inhuman treatment of its citizens),
and the way it sounds to me is the second one. imo it's easier to take the word poor out and remove the ambiguity.
-
The line is as follows:
West Samnor will not make deals with another country that has a poor history of inhuman treatment of its citizens. It should read:
West Samnor will not make deals with another country that has a history of inhuman treatment of its citizens.I'm surprised no one has mentioned this before. Basically it's saying it has a *poor* history of inhuman treatment, so no or not much inhuman treatment has taken place. "poor" should be taken out.

Hi Peggy, me too. It was fun PC and MK (and 1 NV) but I'll be on my way now
-
See you The AUT! have fun in RL

It would make it better if you couldn't see other nations, or maybe you could just see those in your alliance? To make it harder to find the hotspot. Maybe there should be several hotspots so that 3 people couldn't find out where the hotspot is through triangulation?
I'm also interested as to the reasoning behind the price increase due to land and military, as AA has said above.
-
I've confirmed after buying the soldiers that the efficiency is applied contrary to what is shown above. So this is a typo.
-
When I'm at 0 soldiers and I try to buy, say 100 soldiers, it says this:
This transaction will purchase 100 soldiers for a total price of $733.81. Based on this transaction you will have a real military of 100 soldiers with an efficiency of 100 and 0 (0) deployed soldiers. It doesn't show the right efficiency number, it doesn't multiply the 100 by my GCs and Barracks increases.
I'm fairly certain it's something to do with buying soldiers from *zero*, because I've had others test it and it shows the right efficiency numbers. I have 5 GCs and 5 Barracks.
-
What's the cost for upgrading your % citizens if you grow and want to store more citizens?
-
But isn't it not as good to "store" 8% of your population if you're only at 3k infra, rather than at a larger infra? That means it's more profitable to larger nations, thus the increased cost. I suppose it depends on what "store" means (anyone know?).
I actually think *all* wonder prices should scale with NS, because they can afford it.

Just got into the #1 defending casualties
-
Area of Influence (My nation - West Samnor): 10,391.425 mile diameter.
8,643.712 in purchases, 1,296.557 in modifiers, 451.156 in growth
Area of Influence (Combatant's nation - Kanto): 10,163.096 mile diameter.
7,703.697 in purchases, 1,864.295 in modifiers, 595.105 in growth
but on our war battle screen it says this:
Attacking Land Area (me): 9,527.054 Defending Land Area (him): 10,163.096
His land is correct, but somehow mine is not. It's not even land without modifiers either... I'm confused about this, can admin or someone else enlighten me?

You need 3 things to solve this problem. In order of importance:
1. Nukes
2. Attacking partners
3. Foreign Airforce Base
This man is smart, and correct.
-
Give me your email plz - it's sad to see you leave, but I understand your thoughts completely. You were also very high on my list of people I admired, especially the way you were able to express your thoughts on paper (forums )
Keep in touch man.

looking good man.

The reason many people leave the game or never get into the game in the first place is
1)-because for those who aren't involved or have no desire (or time) to be very involved in the politics of the game, there is no chance to reach the same heights that the old nations now have reached (ie Wonder Clock, tech importing problems), and
2)-because the old nations have nothing left to strive for (no more Wonders, a cap on the level of infra that's useful, the monotonous tech importing, unused improvement slots, etc, etc, etc...)
We will never see another increase in CN membership that lasts any amount of time until these problems are fixed, it's as simple as that.

This looks good, implementation is great, the only issue is getting people to encourage their members to sign up for it. It looks awesome.
Something better would be to allow you to make your own circle, where a wildcard in a 3BR is something specific.
