  6. Chapter 3: Diplomats of The Eld

    Eldred Jonas

    dt7.jpg

Jonas is well known for his fascination with blood

Originally part of a mercenary group, the Big Coffin Hunters, Jonas joined the forces of Eld after first meeting King Roland in the town of Mejis, off the edge of the Southern Sea. Quick and trig, he is not one to mess with. His presence in your nation is not to be taken lightly, as it is rumored that he has been trained as an assassin in the case that things do not go as planned.

    Walter O' Dim

    DT004.jpg

Walter O' Dim is one of the finest tongues in The Eld

Walter O' Dim has served on the court of Eld for many a year. He is rumored to be a powerful magi, but this has yet to be proven. It is well known that he is the finest diplomat in all The Eld, and that his word is considered on the same level as the word of the King himself. His presence in your nation should be taken with great honor, as he is not sent away lightly.

    Cuthbert Allgood

    cuthbert_design.jpg

Cuthbert has long been a personal friend of King Roland

Cuthbert Allgood has been a friend of King Roland since birth. He is often blessed by Ka, and he often visits King Roland. He wears the skull of a rook around his neck, which he has nicknamed "Lookout." His presence in your nation should be considered a glorious event, and a sign of good will to come.

    Lesser Diplomats

There are many lesser diplomats of The Eld. Their presence in your nation should not be taken as a slight or as a sign of good will. In several cases, there is just not enough diplomats to go around.

  7. Chapter 2: The King

Roland Deschain, King of The Eld, was the youngest gunslinger in the history of all gunslingers. Born in a time of discovery, Roland grew up amongst the machines of the Great Old Ones. It would be by the hand of Ka that he narrowly avoided death in a factory accident at the age of 12. But that did not stop Roland in his curiosity of the machines. He would lead discoveries of not only how the machines worked, but he would discover how to operate some others had passed for dead.

And so, when the time came for Roland to rule, he began a great era of reconciliation and discovery. Ruling his people with a kind heart and a hand keen to use lead, The Eld has prospered and grown several fold under his rule. Crime is almost non-existent in The Eld, and there is not a single family left without a means to feed themselves. Without further adieu, I present you the King of Eld, Roland Deschain:

    Chapter 1: History

    Chapter 2: The King

    Chapter 3: Diplomats of Eld

Chapter 4: Military of The Eld

Chapter 1: History of The Eld

Long considered a backwards nation of horse and cattle rustlers, The Land of Eld has always been ruled by the bloodline of Arthur Eld. It was 3 generations ago that John Farson, the Good Man, first discovered how to turn the gooey sludge that flowed from the fields of Citgo into the proper components to run the machines of the Great Old Ones. A rebel, the Good Man led the machines against the reigning regime, ruled by Stephen Deschain and his band of gunslingers. Be it luck, or more likely, ka, the Good Man would come to his own demise when one of the machines caught fire trapping him inside. Thus, The Land of Eld was safe again, and the technology to run the machines of the Great Old Ones was discovered by the King.

It would be 2 generations later, when our young King Roland Deschain would rise to power, that The Eld would have finally perfected use of the machines of the Great Old Ones. Factories were popping up all across The Eld, producing automobiles, tanks, aircraft, weapons, and more. It was the second coming of the technology. King Roland vowed that this time, the technology would not destroy the lands like it did to the Great Old Ones. The people listened, and with all their hearts work now in the factories, helping lead The Eld to greatness.

  9. OOC: Fixed for you. :P

Well, CNRP is a very polarised world, I don't hold it against you to go with what your friends say. There is hardly any grey left, and alliances are extremely tangled. In my opinion, people are letting OOC and IC blur and people are just tired of eachother, I know many people are tired of me for some reason.

See, many see me as a warmonger despite the fact that I have had fewer wars than most nations, and several dislike me OOC, that or i'm paranoid. :awesome:

OOC: That was an IC comment. I know nothing of you OOC, and my closet IC allies are those that I was referring to.

  10. The Land of Eld recognizes and joins with the Chinese Union in this move. The Eld ceases to recognize the nations of Il Terra De Agea and the Uberstein Empire. Citizens of both nations will be escorted to the border and will no longer be allowed to travel in our lands. Any military ententes of these two nations to cross with Eld forces will be considered enemy combatants.

    For The Eld

    King Roland Descain

  11. OOC: Shhh that will make him want to do it more

IC: The Agean Empire hereby views Rebel Virginia as what it name suggests, an anarchic, religion dominated, terrorist state. Rebel Virginians in the Empire will be put under surveillance, and on a case by case basis, detained temporarily.

The Eld hereby views the Agean Empire for what it is, a lonely, tyrannical wasteland with leaders that seem to be both inept and insane. As such, The Land of Eld no longer recognizes the Agean Empire as a sovereign nation. Any nationals of Agea within The Eld's borders will be deported. Any and all military forces encountered from your nation will be considered not enemy combatants.

Furthermore, The Eld wishes to extend it's friendship with Rebel Virginia. The Eld hopes that it's diplomat, Cuthbert Allgood, will have a friendly welcome as he arrives in the coming days.

  13. The Eld is troubled by the seeming lack of caring who this nation is allied to. Being approached several times about an alliance between us now, The Eld will have to regrettable put all foreign diplomacy towards Sarnia on hold until it is proven that it's government subsists of more than just smooth talk. The Eld advises any nation thinking of signing a future treaty to take an extremely close look at the nation of Sarnia and it's government beforehand, and also wishes that the newly signed take the time to internally review their relations with this state.

  14. Walter O'Dim rises from his seat, intent on addressing the leaders present. As the words begin to flow from his mouth, all fall silent.

"As a new member of this greater Asian conference, The Eld is pleased to hear that the leaders present share in its views in regional cooperation. We would like to make no official comment at this time on the proposed 'Chongqing Consensus,' but The Eld will have it noted that it finds current progress to it's liking..."

    *a cough amongst the crowd*

"...and furthermore, The Eld wishes to extend good tidings to it's Asian brethren, and is announcing that Asian visitors to The Eld will be granted visas and embassies at their request for the duration of this conference."

As Walter sits, somewhere in the crowd a sigh is heard. Walter thinks to himself: 'I hope whoever it was sighs for relief, and not for frustration.'
