  1. CnG's harm or success was never a topic of discussion. Again, IRON did not declare war on any signatory of CnG and neither did any IRON ally iirc. Why are you trying so hard to vilify IRON?

Ah, I see. You equate hitting DH to hitting CnG somehow. Well allow me to clarify, hitting DH did not equate to hitting CnG. See how easy that was?

An attack on one is an attack on all.

  2. The more infighting in this thread between the alliances that made up eQ, the more you prove my point that eQ (as a political movement, not individual alliances) would have absolutely collapsed under the weight of it's own incompetence if not for NPO at the helm.

The divergence between what various factions wanted and didn't want was comical at the time, and almost sad now.

This is what happens when a bunch of people who don't know how to win manage to not lose.

  3. That's why you don't sign treaties with everyone, keep a straight FA policy and you wont need to worry about your allies in the other side of war because all your allies will be fighting side by side with you. Now if you want to sign treaties with everyone, don't push and/or plan for a war that you know will harm your allies, but if you really want the war, then doesn't complain about others attacking your allies in the other side of a war that you started, because big boys don't complain about their own mistakes, they just take the responsibility for their actions.

  4. If you want to use metallurgy to make a point, you probably don't want to compare iron to steel and call iron the brittle one. You also probably don't want to use copper as your "weak" choice. Something like aluminum would work much better there.

    /the more you know!

You strike me as the kind of person who enjoys a nice peach.

  5. Many in AI wanted more war.  There was a sudden change in it by NE right before the final peace was done (after the initial talks and all).  I'm sure there are suspicions as to why or who influenced the change.

Many in AI joined because it was bright, shiny, and new.

AI was a populist movement and without the core values that make successful alliances, you get what AI is today.

  6.  Yes, and the position of allies like AI (who lost well over 50% of their NS and tech), INT (who were  on the other side), NG (who were  on the other side).. be damned. I am certain we are all very clear on this. You did not need to confirm this.

Your friend Rsox just said that EQ were unable to do anything but scratches without NPO. Now NPO wasn't fighting NG, I don't think they fought INT. So are you exaggerating? Or is Rsox wrong?

Are you saying NPO was fighting AI?

This post makes less sense than usual.

  7. I never look bad my friend. I don't judge concerning war time strategies. If you want to sit in pm that's fine with me.

I thought we were talking about hypotheticals though? Is there something about this question that bothers you? Is that why you dodged it?

    You were talking hypotheticals.

    I was talking facts.

EQ was bad and stood no chance without NPO at the helm.  You need more than popular sentiment to win a war.

    NPO was the true steel.

AI was pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. They broke before they bent.

And the rest of EQ? Copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day.”

  8. Watching the reactions to this thread are interesting.

Reactions from those recently hoping for an eternal DH beatdown complain about how NPO/Brehon managed this past war are even more interesting.

NPO was the only alliance in EQ with the leadership, intelligence, and political strength to direct the catastrophe that was Equilibrium.  What Brehon wanted and didn't want is irrelevant, because without NPO, most of EQ would have continued wallowing in their own filth before taking a shot.  NPO are streets ahead.

Can you imagine EQ putting anything more than a few scratches in DoomHouse without the NPO to hold their hands while they fumble with the key?

There is very little quality in CN and there was even less in EQ, (IRON, DT, GLOF, NPO not withstanding)

Better, (and ignoring the obvious politics) can you imagine the bloodbath if NPO had somehow been on our side?  It would have been like a soggy pinata fighting a Louisville Slugger.
