I'm also coming back into Cyber Nations as a member of this alliance, I missed playing and chatting with these guys so I thought why not? We had good times and I can try to be a good member again. There has been a few incidents of people who have surrendered still being attacked, with nuclear weapons too in one case. So this is a reminder to all nations in general I suppose. Tell the nations that are attacking you that you have surrendered, and provide a link to your surrender post. Why should you do this? To prevent any attacks during POW'ship, ghosting of the POW AA which is wrong and cowardly, and also to maintain a positive note in the war. While the politics of the war I will not delve into here, I do not want to see any propaganda about "Surrender to X alliance, and they still attack you!" This is wrong and depressing. If you surrender, your done finished. Just make sure you tell the nations that you have. We're only human and we (tend to) have lives outside of Cyber Nations. While this is true, shouldn't the attackers at least have the sense to glance at the AA? I hope this is only an isolated incident though, would not want a 'cruelty to POW's' scandal to happen. That's bad for the papers and upsets civilians at their breakfast.

I believe this is wrong, I've only got one Shipyard, 5,100 infra and I'm able to field two Aircraft Carriers in one day. I think nation support means just a line of when you can actually build them, is there truth in this?

Ah that it does, thanks for that. So every day an action slot is needed to 'keep up the fire'? Ok, got that one nailed down. Shipyard improvement limit to 5. *facepalm* How did I forget that... With landing ship limit normal at 3, plus the 3 shipyards, I can field 6 landing craft right? Making it a total of 6 ships for +6% ground damage? How much does the technology account for the other 14%?

I am interesting in fielding a Navy, however I am in need of some clarification. For example: Battle Support with 5 Landing Craft = +5% bonus to ground damage correct? Now what I don't understand is the 20% cap on the ground damage, can this only be achieved through your ships only on Battle Support? Or does it increase with allied support with their naval forces? Also, since the Landing Craft is built through Shipyards, the CN Information page doesn't say if there is a limit to how many shipyards you can have, is that a typo? I've never attacked with navy, does the battle bonus add up with every battle support slot? Or is it only active as long as you set it so? These things are expensive, I don't want to invest without knowing how useful they actually are. Thanks.

Now then, I've been on this game sine I think 2006, had a cool off period and a restart once, still I was ok with the game. The thing is, what hooked me on the game? At first when I found the game, I was in school, secondary school to UK residents. I think that is high school to the US citizens. I was in love with the game, it was a simple, day by day nation building game that took patience and simple planning, it didn't demand 24/7 attention. That was the type of game I loved at that time, something to slightly take my mind off work. Now then what has hit me, lately at least is that alliances can change a person's perspective on a game. While I will admit that when working as a team with a group of members, you can be ever so biast or ready to accept something in order to maintain the team or be ready to fight for the team? Yeah, it happens, but for no reason, thankfully even in games, I'm glad to see a spec of reason. That was nice for me. Now then. I wish to bring up alliances. Ok, yes I know this is a minefield filled with LOLWUTS, LOLS, ROFLS, OMG, and WTF!? This is the Internet, I must expect this. Alliances, when you become a part of it, its a team, you like it and want to defend it. I'm like that in the GGA. Yes, ONOEZ, I'm in the GGA! Please can I ask for an unbiased opinion? Please, I ask for a non-biased opinion for the sake of the forum. As I said, we like to defend, 'pride' or 'honor', while I feel like a jackass for saying this, those who take it seriously, I'm afraid, even though you may be very nice people, that its a bit much for a virtual group of people. Yes, I like teamwork, I enjoy working with others, but on here, most the people you work with are strangers. Face it, unless you meet them face to face, they're strangers. We're pledging our loyalty to strangers. I'll admit, I did too in the GGA, but I'm sure with some of you, you got to know them in real time chat or even voice or video chat, I applaud that. As long as we make friends right? We can never have too many friends. Unless you hate making too many Christmas Cards. Now, the point of this message you ask? Don't take CN too seriously. Sure if your nation is attacked, go nuts. You worked on it. If you've been beaten, post a thread on your annoyance, I don't mind that. But, there is a limit. This is a game, not a Social Networking site, or a political 'shifty' site. We put time into the game yes, I'll never say no to that, but make it dignified. I will never, I say again NEVER say bad against an alliance unless I have reason to. Why? I'm a political retard. I know what I have to know, not much else. I think this is the first post I've made here in a year or two. Anyway, I don't know how you will take this, but I pray it won't turn into a flame fest with a barbecue with hot dogs. Ok, I told these forums to track all topics in the Open World Forum. This means every new topic sends me an e-mail. Sometimes when I click a link its invalid and the forums tell me the link is wrong. Does this mean that the topic is deleted or moved? Or is the forums in an error? If you need a screen dump tell me.

I have had a reply from OpenDNS: I am unsure as to what traceroute output is, but I'll keep testing the OpenDNS with CN and the Forums. EDIT: Upon further testing with OpenDNS, it would seem that this compatibility issue may be over. If it continues I'll try to keep OpenDNs and admin aware. I think this topic can be locked but admin choice.

I managed to get in touch with admin through Trukz It was my OpenDNS. If anyone is using OpenDNS, you'll see the lag I saw. Turn it off for now. Its fixed my end now. EDIT: Admin just beat me to it EDIT: I have contacted the OpenDNS service and I am awaiting a reply. I'll post the reply here or give it to admin since I and possibly other people use this DNS service.

The lag in the CN game and forums is just incredible, the forums have become pretty unstable too. Not to mention CN times out every 5 seconds with me. What is going on!?

I recently started a new nation because I am returning to the game. I created a nation called Wales Alliance. Now I had an old account, nation name is Pride of Wales. To the bug. What I don't understand is why these saved nations are appearing: My nation is only 4 days old, yet I am getting saved nations from 2006? Did the saved nations carry over from my old nation? They are both under the same ruler/user name.
