King Edward Raczyński called in his assistant.

"Zoe, could you come here please"

Zoe walked into his office.

"I have an invitation I'd like you to deliver to Nikola Romanov."

"Yes sir"

Zoe mailed the invitation to Nikola Romanov, inviting him to Wawel Castle for a get together between families.

To: Edward Raczyński

Comrade,

I have received your invitation, and, as the nation which granted our land our freedom, I have nothing but respect for you and your gracious people. It is because of your generosity that we now exist, and there is no reason, nor will within me to consider declining this invitation. I shall arrive within an hour of this message's arrival at Wawel Castle, where we may discuss whatever business you may wish to discuss.

Sincerely yours,

Nikola Romanov

56 minutes after the message arrived on Edward Raczyński's desk, Romanov arrived in front of Wawel Castle, and entered. As his Polish escort led him around, he could not help but marvel at the castle's beauty, it reminded him of his home in Prague Castle, and upon meeting Raczyński, he was very calm and collected, he had dealt with important men before, and this was no different than the times he had met Visari in the name of his Emperor.

"The Kingdom is doing quite well, comrade. Two of our largest companies have successfully received contracts to build infrastructure in Pakistan, one being a billion dollar wind farm and the other, they've said, will probably cost about half a billion when its all done, meaning that with taxes we get to collect three quarters of a billion dollars, which we can put to good use. It's going to either education or the beginning of a true military program, my top adviser says he'll flip a coin to see whether we get to kill with our guns or our thoughts.

I owe you my life, comrade. If it weren't for you we wouldn't readily exist."

He paused for a moment.

"Do you have any tea? I really need a drink."

"Do you have any tea? I really need a drink."

"Yes we do, from Lipton green tea to the exotic Pu-erh tea. Which do you prefer?"

The King paused.

"That is good to here about the building contracts. I hope it all goes well for the employee's and companies. What plans do you have for education, should the coin toss favor that choice?"

"Education? I don't do education, you know that I am a military man. I'll throw the money at my Interior minister and say 'teach my kids', hopefully he'll find something good to do with it." Nikola chuckled.

"I'd like some lemon tea, preferably, thanks."

"Haha, that is true."

A castle worker brought Mr. Romanov his tea.

"I would like to see our nations cooperate more on a personal level, economically speaking. What do you think of this?"

"Most certainly, comrade. Economic cooperation between our nations, which are so close geographically, ethnically, and politically. We already have similar economic policies, I know, and we both exist as Kingdoms. Certainly, I would absolutely adore an economic treaty promoting free trade and economic cooperation between our nations. Perhaps we could even go higher, and ally our states to defend one another against whatever the world might throw at us."

"I'd support such a proposal. The Czech's are like brothers to my people. We've gone through much together, supporting each other a number of times throughout history. I'd trust your word on such an agreement my friend."

"Comrade, I shall have my best adviser write the treaty himself. We will be allies, for a very long time, for longer than both of our lifetimes, I do hope."

"Now that business is done, we may return to exchanging pleasantries, yes? You asked me of my nation, now how is Poland faring in this world?"

"The Kingdom is faring well my friend. We are currently purchasing contracts for some of our more advanced military equipment. Our economy still remains free, despite the monarchy having complete control. This has resulted in the best results for employment and our market. We plan on starting a new education program designed to increase college acceptance rates by eliminating standardize testing as benchmarks and having a set curriculum that teachers need to follow."

"Some of those things sound very nice. Perhaps I will suggest them to my Interior Minister. One of the things that I have been considering is opening up publicly funded colleges for the betterment of education in our Kingdom. Ideally these colleges would be completely free of charge, and they would also be the best schools in the nation. (ooc: RL Japan)"

"Comrade, I don't mean to turn this into a sales pitch, but I do know that my Defense Minister has just finished building our military up to standards to make it a quite formidable fighting force. He has also thought it good to sell off most of those war machines to allies at decent prices. If you are interested in improving your army or air force, I can certainly help you out."

"Aside from all that, how are you doing, personally? How is your wife? You have a lovely home."

"We have been considering free higher education as well. I will have to coordinate one of my Defense Councilors to talk to you about a military equipment deal.

My wife, Cecylia, is doing well. She is currently on a goodwill tour to some public schools to support reading programs and expanding the libraries in the schools as well. Cecylia plans on expanding the libraries of schools to include more of the worlds various controversial and interesting works.

Thank you for the compliment on our home. How is the Prague Castle this time of year?"

"Not as lovely as it is in Winter, I will say that, though when I am driving home from a long day, and I see the Castle at night, it is truly a wonder to behold. All of those leaders that came before me put such work into building that magnificent beauty that I now call my home. It truly is huge, and I haven't even been to all of the rooms it it yet. Hopefully someday I can find out what's in the easternmost part of it. haha."

"It is good that your wife is doing well. My wife actually only returned from the hospital about a week ago after giving birth to our first son. Happiest day of my life, I will tell you that," Romanov smiled and bit his pointer finger, remembering that day.

"Comrade, I am going to go and make a phone call. When I return, within an hour a document should arrive here that will give both of us the time to review a treaty between our nations in the same spot. After that call is done and the treaty is signed, we can relax. Perhaps we can go down by the river, or take a boat ride."

He left the room, and made a call to his Head of Diplomacy, who promised to get a treaty of mutual defense and economic cooperation to him within an hour. Romanov had actually already had such a treaty written, he did not think that the King of Poland would deny his request at all. He returned to the room.

"There is a football match about to start between Poland and Czechia. Where is your television?"

"Ah fantastic. Follow me to our recreation room. It was designed specifically for close friends of ours to come and enjoy sports and movies with us on occasion. It is usually on Polsat Sport, or a similar channel."

The King led his friend to the recreation room. Where there was a bar, couch, television... sort of like a "Man's Room".

A man entered the room just as the Czech Kingdom scored a goal. Romanov turned around, and greeted him.

"Ctirad! Wonderful to see you, mate. Set that treaty down and watch football with us."

After the game, they sat over the treaty, and Romanov signed it.
