That's right my fellow Avenged Sevenfold fans, it's here. A7X's 6th studio album has been announced to be released on August 27th. Another thing the band has released is the cover art for their new album "Hail to the King". It's more cartoonish when compared to their other album covers, but according to the band, they are going in a slightly new direction.
""The new album has a lot more of a [black] Sabbath / [Led] Zeppelin feel to it than 'Carry On'," frontman M. Shadows said of the upcoming album last year. "There's definitely more Sabbath in what we're writing, and we're proud of 'Carry On', but this album is going to be on a whole new level."
Good ol' fashioned Rock n Roll mixed in with the last of the pure Metal bands? One can only predict success. They haven't had a bad album so far. However, this is their first album with their new drummer Arin Llejay. It is said without question no one could fill the shoes of Jimmy "The Rev" Sulivan. Arin has done a great job thus far of keeping the Rev's sound. If anyone could fill The Rev's shoes, it would be Arin. No one should worry about a change in tone or sound in A7X's "Hail to the King". I'm not.
On payday, I will have this album preordered and will be blasting this album into my skull on release day. I hope you do too!
