Mogar Posted July 31, 2014 Report Share Posted July 31, 2014 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries offers the Mitsubishi APWR(advanced pressurized water reactor), a 3rd+ generation nuclear reactor, offering 1700 MWe power, and contains MOX core capabilities, as well as improved safety features over most other 3rd generation designs, the Imperium having learned from the Fukushima incident. KEPCO also offers the APR-1400, a smaller 1400MW design with similar design considerations to the Mitsubishi offer, the only notable difference being the smaller size.
