[b]Recent History[/b]
The Umbrella Corporation wrestled control of the Malvinian Island Territories after an Incident in Porton Down, a top secret Malvinian Facility for bioweapons, funded by the Umbrella Corporation.
A massive breach in bioweapons security occurred, resulting in the deaths of thousands of workers, three SAS teams, several Umbrella Corporation Special Security teams and over sixty regular soldiers.

Now previous to the Porton Down incident a militant group, “The Patriots” launched a massive invasion on the Malvinian homeland, which resulted in the deaths of 60,000 Malvinian soldiers, and the resulting counter attack, which included a heavy chemical attack beforehand, resulting in the deaths of 500 Kitexian Marines, and a further 172,000 Malvinian casualty rate. Having defeated The Patriots in open combat, vicious trench combat, large portions of it fought hand to hand, tooth and claw for every meter of ground taken or lost, the Premier, Barney Stone declared it a victory.

However, The Patriots were not defeated, for the Umbrella Corporation were also the parent company of The Patriots. Once Wesker grasped control from Prime Minister Anderson and King Arthur, he became CEO of the Umbrella Corporation Island Territories and The Patriots.

Wesker made considerable gains as the CEO of a Nation, he expanded Malvinian Influence, just to where he needed it. With the Military over stretched and unable to defend all the land now held, which at the time rivalled with Europe's west French coast up to Poland. It was huge for a word, simply spread out across the homeland, three Islands off the coast of Antarctica, and a massive tract of land on the Antarctic mainland.

With the Military now unable to defend the Nation, Wesker ordered a massive biological and chemical attack on all of the Malvinian cities and towns in the budding Empire. UC special forces, security teams, and the UC National Guard, fought against garrison units in the regular army as they battled to defend villages around the lands.
Sadly, it resulted in a massive outbreak of the XY virus. With UC personnel now retreating to the citadel in the middle of City 17, capital city of the Nation, the infected now running rampage around the mainland, killing everyone overwhelmed the defending Malvinian Army.

Days after the Genocide, Wesker, used his influence over the patriots to deploy a massive nuclear strike against himself, reducing the Island, its lands, its cities, colonies and identity into a radioactive dust bowl to contain the now out of control virus. The world now believed Wesker and his Nation to be dead.

The Las Malvinas Island Territories is enforcing a policy of neutrality on a regional and international level.
If Malvinian territory, Malvinian citizens or Government assets are under direct threat, the Government has the right to intervene on their behalf.
Corporations and corporate assets are not included and the Government has no obligation to intervene on their behalf.

Las Malvinas Island Territories Military Doctrine[/b]
The Malvinian military does not involve itself with static defences with the exception for the national usage of strategic AA emplacements, however tactical emplacements are highly mobile. Modernisation of the military involves a focus on fast moving heavy hitting forces, rapid response and mobilisation and maximum damage. Specialist training to involve Guerilla warfare, and how to use the Tundra around them to their advantage and use it best to destroy the enemy.
Fast moving anti tank and anti air emplacements, aswell as a large focus of armoured and mechanised infantry, such as IFV's and main battle tanks working in tandem, with the support of fast moving artillery and air power.
Specific training and exercises in the "Blitzkrieg" theory of warfare, and will be adopted by the Military as a whole as its new fighting style.

[b]Note on military formations[/b]
Malvinian military forces do not concentrate in one large base, but are broken up into nine regiments which are spread out over their area of Operations. Each base contains 5000 soldiers. By doing this it allows the military to better cover the border and strategic locations in and around the Las Malvinas Territories.
