Mohammed Hazzan was up early today, as per the usual, thanks to his work. His first task today, was to send off a letter to the nation of Nod, which he did quickly.

Greetings,

For the longest time, Rebel Army and Nod have had little communication or diplomatic relations, even though we are both connected to each other through Africa, and are close to one and other. I would like to invite you to Cairo, in order to remedy this, and possibly to iron out greater cooperation and relations between our two nations.

Yours truly,
Mohammed Hazzan

Mister Ambassador,

There has indeed been little communication between our respective nations, and there is a reason for that. Your past actions have made it abundantly clear that regimes such as ours are categorically intolerable. To what end would further discourse bring? It is upon this fact alone that I find merit in simply disregarding this offer as pure frivolity.

It would appear, however, that Fate has been whimsical of late...

It is in no small part to the Executive Minister's inherent curiosity that I find myself aboard a NoN-Cargo Lifter, enroute to Cairo. I have no armed guards with me, and only a single attendant for Clerical assistance, so as to ensure the expediency of the said meeting. We shall do our utmost to ensure that personal opinion is kept out of our formal discourse.

[s]I hope you get the Bubonic Plague and Die a long, horrid death[/s] Warmest Regards,
Nyani Oshibutu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Nation of Nod

Jessica and Nyani sat alone in a small alcove set in the fuselage of the unassuming cargo transport. Aside from the standard pilot crew, the two women were alone in the air cabin. The Executive Ministry, in some ploy to seem nonchalant, had deemed it necessary to send them no armed escorts. After disembarking from the aircraft and touching down on Rebel Army soil, they would be alone.

Mohammed, while slightly surprised, was not irked in the slightest by the NoN's reply to his message. Indeed, he had seen one a many odd diplomatic letters, this was one being the most recent. Regardless, he awaited the arrival of the delegation, and greeted them personally. After the standard formalities were exchanged, the group would be brought to the Foreign Ministry's nearby office in Cairo, to begin the talks.

OOC: The plane is allowed to enter RA airspace, pilot goes 'prepare for landing', the ladies disembark. Also, initiate! This IS your thread, after all. :P

Touching down in Rebel Army controlled Egypt was uneventful. Nyani's armed air escorts left her transport at the newly created RA-NoN border. The two nations were still technically at war, following the purge of Roachinian Kingdom and the subsequent pull out of Southern Egypt by the NoN-CMBT forces, left no formal declaration of peace or armistice between the two.

Nyani had little desire to see that final formality put to rest. She was more concerned on her time being wasted, just as it was in Carthage. The sole occupants of the airlifter, tentatively disembarked placing the first Nodic footsteps in several years down on Rebel Army soil.

Looking down at her feet, Nyani began,

"I must admit, setting foot upon Rebel Army territory is most... unsettling..."

Silently striding beside her, Jessica nodded, "Indeed, if... back then... someone was to tell me that we would be here, now... "

The reserved Handmaiden did not need to finish her sentence. Both knew each others thoughts- for years the Executive Ministry had used the looming threat of an Aphrike Bloc invasion as justification for the significant military build ups and advancements it had achieved in recent years. The dark ages of the Red Sands Accords, constantly being on edge, communicating via wire communications... such events seemed so primitive to the ladies compared to the relative civil and military prosperity the NoN enjoyed now.

They walked towards the terminal, where they were sure someone would be waiting for them...
