"Our special forces eagerly test your small arms at their proving grounds and see if they can incorporate this into their tactics. We shall also put your aircraft into dogfighting to see how they compare to both our domestic air fleet and our considerable force or rebel army made fighters." X said. "After these tests, I hope we can move towards large scale exercises."

"Of course. And we come to compatibility betwixt our military electronics systems. I propose we put together a team to work on ensuring cross-platform communication and efficiency as well as allowing the seamless integration of information and other vital components. This seems to be the last problem which needs hashing out, so afterwards I suggest we get to work on those treaties which will make all of these things possible." He smiled. "A new age is dawning upon planet Bob."

"I will direct our Chief Engineer 'M' to begin working with your engineers to create interoperability between your forces and ours. Indeed, it appears we have a deal." he said. An aide brought over two electronic tablets with an outline of what had been discussed.

"They are quite something else, I find one does not have to eat for a week." he said. "Follow me to the grand dining hall." X rose from his chair, leading the way to the Grand Dining Hall which would be on the other side of the floor. "Tell me, what happens after Tahoe's inevitable collapse, how do you see the new order in America taking shape?"

The Emperor spoke easily, sure of what he believed. "The post-Tahoe world will end up with stability in a sort of 'Cold War', if you will between the various factions of the coalition and myself. I'm afraid that isn't exactly an advantageous position for myself, which is why I've chosen to limit our gains to the Baja Peninsula. There is much opportunity for progress in the Americas as it stands."

As they entered the formal dining room the first dishes were coming out, cold cuts of beef, peanuts, and other traditional chinese appetizer food was being laid out before the hot courses would come out. The President gestured to the Emperor to take a seat next to him at the head of the table. "I would suspect that the North Americans would lack the capacity to really initiate an aggressive roll back campaign. Our allies in J. Andres have showed little interest in expansion and they are the bulk of the North American military power, do you believe outside actors could get involved?" he asked curiously.

"Well, the way the Mesoamerican 'revolutionaries' are speaking, they seem to want to dominate Central America. Which is something I, and the Empire simply cannot allow. The birthplace of the Empire was in Panama, after all. Which I suppose is one of a multitude of reasons I sit with you today, drinking your wine and eating your dinner. Simply delectable, by the way." He continued before taking a bite. "Would I be able to count on your support in the event of a war against the Empire?"

"Assuming you are attacked, definately yes, if it was deemed necessary to launch a preventive war, we'd have too examine the evidence and talk with other allies, but we understand the need to take action when bad neighbors act up." X said. The main dishes were brought out including such great delights from across China such as crab and pork soup dumplings and peking duck. "If you need diplomatic help with any of the allies we have, we'd also be inclined to aid you in that regard."

"That... is extremely relieving. You understand the overtures the Latin League has been making, I believe. They have called for the liberation of 'Central America and the Latin people' from Imperialists. I can't see many possible targets other than the Holy American Empire; as unjust as that may be. But it is good to know that some nations are still honorable in this world."

"Unfortunately so. We have always prided ourselves in taking the long view of things, and thus figured that China is a reliable investment as both an ally and a friend. I look forward to not being disappointed." The Emperor predicted with a smile.

"Indeed. You can also bet on a show of force by the Chinese Navy in the East Pacific fairly soon." he said. He raised a glass of the clear national liquor of China, maotai baijiu. "A toast to our two people, may they be victorious in battle and reign glorious in peace."

"Nations without peers, giants sitting astride the globe." The Emperor agreed. He raised his own glass and tapped it against President X's before quaffing a goodly portion. He set the glass down and smiled slightly at the familiar feel of alcohol making its' way down one's throat. "Better than quite a bit of the rot-gut native to the Empire, I'm sorry to say.

"At any rate, what exactly is this show of force you mean?"

"We'll work with our allies to organize a naval tour of the Americas to let those who seek to shake up the post war order shall not do so without drawing the eye of the rest of the world." he said. "That is after all our job." he said in a joking manner.
