*Public Transportation systems need to be repaired, and improved upon allowing not only the transportation of people but freight as well. Intra city transportation systems deriving from the industrial sectors of each building will be expanded allowing easy movement of economic resources.

*A dominion style hexlev system is to be set up as an inter city transportation system for both people and freight. These will in the short term link the cities on Zealand proper but in the long run connect all cities of the Citadel.

Intra city tranportation has already largely been built by the previous regimes and needs only a marginal amount of repair and reconstruction. The existing system comprises of three level's of interconnected Mag-Lev trams that run between the city buildings. The modifications made will be at the lowest level which will be expanded to and built in such a way as to allow significantly larger Trams which can carry modualized cargo with an assortment of raw materials, manuefactured, and finished goods.

Intra city transportation however is going to be fully overhauled and replaced. The new model will reflect the dominion's vactrain or hexlev system. Each of the Citadel's major cities will be linked to the system with a central hub located in wellington. The system itself take the form of a large evacuated tube with six electromagnetic bars forming a hexagon within the circular tube. Suspended in the center is a large ovular pod which is is mangentically polarized to resist the outer fields. From there it is propelled by waves of concentric polarization shifts along the system. As friction is minimized by the lack of physical contact with the system,and the lack of atmosphere higher speeds are achievable than in normal systems. Continental systems will be rigid in construction and fixed in place twenty meters beneath the surface; while oceanic based systems will be built with greater flexibility and affixed to the ocean floor with tension cables. Allowing internal momentum to be relaxed naturally and without damage done to the system itself. The tubing will also be made slightly thicker and will be slightly larger to prevent collision by the pod with the tube itself (in the event of unusual oscillation). In addition an above ground network of freeway roads is to be constructed (after the competition of the hexlev system) which will be utilized exclusively by the military and government parallel tunnels will also be built in conjunction with the aquatic portion of the hexlev system. The Ministry of the Interior's office of transportation will be overseeing this project and it is seen as the first major infastructure designed to revitalize and stimulate the newly created economy. In conclusion the Prince, Ryn Atrevier has stated that he is "excited, and enthusiastic" about the new program; and that "All citizens of the citadel ought to be as well. Construction is expected to begin within the week."

Today teams of technicians, and construction workers were deployed around the nation to begin work on repairing the existing intra-city tranportation systems. Assessments and inspections were done determining problem areas, and planning repair work. Leading members of the Engineer's syndicate began drawing up plans for newer and more efficient tram systems, and a new grant has been promised to the team which can come up with the best prospects. Inter-city tranpsortation work has begun as well with the initial surveying of land and the plotting of paths for the hexlev systems. Plans for the hexlev central hub have been proposed and are being revived by the board of engineers, and the Royal Council. Finally the Royal Bank of Aotearoa has submitted plans to finance the new project, and been negotiating loan and repayment projections with the council. No specifics have been issued, but the Committee of Public Works is admitting excitement at the projected jumps in economic activity within the Citadel.

Repair work on the intra city transportation systems has continued and is in it middle stages of completion. One of the real challenges has been carrying over the old EMP shielding and extending the Faraday cage across the new systems; as any significant hole would compromise the entirety of the system. As a result extra care is being taken and successive inspections are being done to ensure there are no mistakes.

On the Intercity transportation front preliminary work of the wellington hub has begun; and stakes for the path of the system have been laid. Construction materials are presently being transported to the needed areas, along with equipment for dig teams to construct the trenches along which the system will be laid. Work is expected to begin very soon. Despite initial criticism that such a system would take a lengthy amount of time; an unexpected number of unemployed syndicate and guild members have shown up to assist in the work greatly adding to the overall manpower. Offsite work has begun on the underwater portions of the system; teams intend to build large portions of the system ahead of time and then connect and secure them underneath the water at a later date.

Finally industrial evacuation systems are being developed to install across the hexlev portion of the system to ensure that internal atmospheric levels are kept at a minimum.

The digging of trenches for the continental systems has begun, construction workers along with an army of mechanical shovels and buldozers have begun to lay the ground work for the system. The materials needed to build the structures have been delivered and placed within temporary shelters until needed.

The Wellington Hub is now in its middle stages of construction and is taking the form of a the dimensional donut shaped object with a complex web of rails spiraling outward (within the structure) from the center to the different parts of the system. In the center will be a large atrium accessible from the cities above which will serve as the link to the hexlev system. Beneath this there will be automated system linked to the intra-city transportation system specifically the system which serves the automated industry. This system will serve as a conduit between intra city commerce and inter city commerce. Similar hubs will be found in each of the Citadel's cities; though in varying sizes.

Finally Intracity systems are now fully repaired and operational. While extensive testing and checks remain they are simply a part of the natural upkeep of such a system.

The trenches for the new Hexlev system have now been completed and the installation of the system has begun. Completion of the system is projected out to next month. Furthermore the new evacuation systems have been completed and are awaiting installation once the network is itself completed. Offsite portions of the aquatic portion are reportedly completed and are presently being transported to the coasts to be lowered into the waters. Finally the wellington hub is in its final stages of completion and is simply awaiting connection with a completed system.

On another note the planned military interstates are presently being prepared for. As they will sit atop the completed sub-subterranean hexlev system their construction cannot begun until the former is completed. In the mean time their supplies are being purchased and stored within the shelters previously used to store the hexlev materials.

On the economic side of things the near full employment created by this project has led to a rapid revival of the internal consumer market and a rapid expansion of existing industries. Stimulation though this project has further expanded infastructure development across the nation. While the success is presently championed the CPW is still working on a plan for ensuring the full employment remains so in the longterm.

Installation of the system is now in its middle stages. Last month there was an record number of accidental deaths most associated with workers working within the trenches or within the system. It topped out at thirty deaths and has since declined. The families of the individuals in question have been compensated, and are being taken care of.

The central power grid is presently being laid along side the new transportation system. It is expected to be completed in conjuction with the completion of the hexlev system. Aquatic portions of the hexlev systems are now complete and sit beneath the water awaiting evacuation of the water within them.

Installation of the hexlev system and central power grid have been completed and subsequently been burried. Evacuation of the system is slated to begin tomarrow. The wellington hub has now been completed with every other hub. Work has further begun on the new military interstate system.

All transportation projects are now fully completed, an ongoing testing and upkeep project has been initiated to run alongside daily use.

Citadel Public Transportation System

As per original promises made by the new government the new public transportation system has now been completed. Individuals are now free to utilize the system at their convenience, and use is without charge. Each citizen is to be issued a national identity card which will along with standard identification and biometric information also be your access pass to both the transportation system, as well as future public services offered by the state.

Imprinted on the card will be a bar code which the transportation system will scan before admitting access to the system. Aside from a nominal service charge of ten credits upon registration and re-newel of the card, all services provided under it are paid for by the public.
