king of cochin
"Well skipper that is a lot of screws running in close formation." SZ24, a Z class submarine in the Third Submarine Squadron was monitoring the arrival of this new fleet for some time. Sure the numbers were huge, but the fleet was making no disguise for stealth. They were making a fast run on a course to Yamato. "Do we have a valid track?" "On everyone Sir. I have also got some bearings of a few submarines." "Weps Center, are you guys tracking these targets?" "Yes skipper. All tubes are loaded with Mk.100 Torpedoes." "Okay. XO, what is our EMCON.?" "Ultra Quiet. We have been at battle stations ever since we started getting their signals." "Good. Anyway I have informed CNS Sakthan and other SBZs too must have given out a world. I wonder what is going on?" Tracking of this massive fleet had necessitated a deviation from SZ24's normal patrolling routes. But now it could resume. They were in International waters but was wary of GA. You never know when they would want to rattle sabers. The subs had definite command from Squadron Commander to be alert for GA navy and to keep distance from them while tracking them at all times.
