JEDCJT
The Union of Eastern Soviet RepublicsToday, what had been expected to happen actually did. The former provinces of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina finally split from the Soviet Union, being given full independence. They were not prolaimed a protectorate however, and diplomatic exchange has yet to happen. However, that is expected to come in due time. The Administrator wished the new country, by the name of Evokerstan, well and said that diplomatic relations would be pursued. OOC: gave some land to a new RPer. OOC: Hehe...the Soviet Union? Workers of the world, unite! (Kidding, ofc.)

Cody Seb
Construction on the Citadel Nears Completion Construction continues on the Citadel, now confirmed to be not only the government headquarters, but the Nexus for Overwatch Forces (OOC: I have Regular Police, SWAT, Secret Police and SWAT Secret Police, both the Secret police factions make up Overwatch), and Civil Protection (OOC: My regular police). We were permitted to explain a little bit about the structure. A large pit was actually dug, 30 stories down into the earth. A series of bridges and causeways stretch from the Citadel, which rests its base at the bottom of the pit, to the sides of the pit, and which form a series of underground tunnels which are still under construction. We were given a picture of some of the completed causeways. We have also received reports that the Citadel's exterior is completely finished, leaving only the inside still under construction. Here is a photo of the Citadel, which is surrounded by large walls on all sides, take from downtown. It is unconfirmed how many stories the structure has, but it has been proven to be the tallest building on the Balkan Penninsula (OOC: Not as tall as Jed's tower though, it's about as tall as the CN tower in my RP). Here is another photo taken from a small square a little further away. The Citadel has also been confirmed to be fully powered by an inclusive geothermal plant beneath it. It is just another sign of the UESR government trying, as ever, to introduce greener energy into our society. We now have a shining testament to our Union's strength of purpose and resolve. Cody Seb
Sofia, Bulgaria Province Today, Administrator Nevsky signed several bills into law. These laws are all based around furthering order in the Union. The Search and Seizure Act: By order of the Administrator, Overwatch, Civil Protection, Military and Sjenka Forces are authorized to search any residence, container or property of any suspect. This may be done without a warrant and at any time of day, with or without the permission of said suspect. The Urban Outpost Proposal: Signed into law, this will give funding to open military outposts within major cities of the Union. Military personnel will now man traffic and pedestrian checkpoints, as well as sector checkpoints. This will also give money to the construction of specialized outposts and watchtowers insed major cities.

Cody Seb
Sofia, Bulgaria Province Military modernization continues as military technology from the UFE continues to bolster the effectiveness of the Soviet Army. Most upgrades are currently being installed on ships, as tanks have been brought up to the new standard as well as aircraft. Infantry suits still use the same design, although the suits are being upgraded as well to further shield soldiers from radiation, biological and chemical weapons, and of course bullets.
