The Samurai

What We Strive For

- To grow together in harmony and not forsake one another

- to unite our strength to maintain international peace and security within our border or confines of our little chunk of the cyber verse

- To maintain independence of all international conflicts unless we choose to go at it as a group

- to do our best to promote ourselves and fellow Samurais so that all may prosper

Accordingly, our respective Governments, who have exhibited their full powers found to be in good and due form, have agreed to the present Charter of The Samurai and do hereby establish an international organization to be known as the Samurai.

THE Sword TREATY

Section 1

1. The Nations undertake, as set forth in the Charter of The Samurai, to settle any international dispute in which they may be involved by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace and security and justice are not endangered, and to refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force in any manner inconsistent with the purposes set forth by The Samurai.

2. Nations further accept that membership into The Samurai is incompatible with membership of any other Cyber nations alliances, and thus will not be in two alliances as once. If this is found to be the nation in question will be charged with Spying and deemed a rogue then sentenced to ZI.

Section 2

1.In order to more effectively achieve the objectives of this Treaty, the Member Nations, separately and jointly, by means of continuous and effective self-help and mutual aid will maintain and develop their individual nations and collective capacity to resist armed attack. But if attacked will be given the ability to retaliate by the Imperial Advisors.

Section 3

1.The Nations hereby establish Imperial Advisors, on which each of them shall be represented, to consider matters concerning the implementation of this Treaty. The Imperial Advisors shall be able to convene within 12 hours of any issues or problems, sooner if messaged in game or by our forums. The Imperial Advisors can set up as many positions as deemed necessary for the size of the alliance at said time; as well as eliminate any position if no longer needed or desired by the Samurai.

Section 4

1.The Member Nations will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Member Nations is threatened. Or an ally comes seeking help with an issue or with resolving any conflicts which may occur

Section 5

1. The Member Nations agree that an armed attack against one or more of them shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defense, will assist the Member Nation or Nations so attacked by taking, under direction of the Imperial Advisors of The Samurai , such action as deemed necessary by the Imperial Advisors including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the Samurai.

2. Any Member Nation so attacked maintains the inherent right of self-defense and is thus permitted to conduct strikes upon the aggressor prior to consultation with the Imperial Advisors.

3. Any such armed attack and all measures taken as a result thereof shall immediately be reported to the Imperial Advisors. Such measures shall be terminated when the Imperial Advisors have taken the measures necessary to restore and maintain international peace and security.

4. The General Assembly, upon advice from the Imperial Advisors of The Samurai, may refuse military aid to any Member Nation in conflict where it is proven that the Member Nation was the aggressor. Notwithstanding this, the General Assembly, on advice from the Imperial Advisors, may vote to aid such a Member Nation if the nation's continued security and that of the alliance becomes jeopardized by the conflict. The Imperial Advisors may impose fines on the Member Nation aided to cover the cost of troop and equipment losses of other Member Nations in such an event.

Section 6

1.The Member Nations may, by unanimous agreement, invite any other Nation in a position to further the principles of this Charter and to contribute to the security of The Samurai. Any Nation so invited may become a Member Nation to the Treaty by stating its acceptance of the rules laid down in this Charter in The Samurai Forums. Membership into The Samurai can be stated in the Member Nation's "Nation Information" Section. Or just as their AA

Section 7

1. Membership in the Samurai is open to all other Nations which accept the obligations contained in the present Charter and, in the judgment of the Samurai, are able and willing to carry out these obligations.

2. The admission of any such Nation to membership in the Samurai will be effected by a decision of the Imperial Advisors of The Samurai upon recommendation of the General Assembly.

Section 8

1. A Member of the Samurai against which preventive or enforcement action has been taken by the Imperial Advisors of The Samurai may be suspended from the exercise of the rights and privileges of membership by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Imperial Advisors. The exercise of these rights and privileges may be restored by the Imperial Advisors.

Section 9

1. A Member Nation of The Samurai which has attacked a fellow Member Nation or has persistently violated the Principles contained in the present Charter may be expelled from the Samurai by majority vote upon the recommendation of the Imperial Advisors of The Samurai.

2. A Member Nation discovered belonging to another, rival Alliance will be considered to be practicing espionage and expelled from the Samurai and Punishment will be set forth at said time.

Section 10

1. Tech raiding is a practice followed by many. The Imperial Advisors frown upon this but do not forbid it from our members. If they so desire they are allowed to partake in this activity with the full knowledge and understanding of if they get called out on it. It’s up to them to get out of the situation, the alliance as a whole will not send in reinforcements.

1A. If we are tech raided we do keep a nuclear first strike policy to those that would think that our tech looks better in their nation.

2. As much as any alliance tries to walk the line in the universe, we maintain an independent stance of any and all conflicts or major wars, but said views may change when confronted with war at our doorsteps.
