Conscience
Question on behalf of Fred22 who does not have forum registration approved yet. I purchased an improvement and then later lost a portion of my population. Do I lose the benefits of the improvement because it seems to be out by @ that amount.(yes i know my income goes down when my population count went down ) That is my population count went down by say 4000 representing 4 improvements. the last 4 improvements I purchased had 4 population happy bonuses attached. Could it be that i don't get the 4 happy bonuses attached to the 4 improvements because my population count went down?
Lord n00b II
You should be able continue to have those bonuses, however, be sure NOT to improvement swap because you will lose those slots.

You do continue to receive the benefits on improvements even if the population count goes down. The only thing affected is how long it will take to be able to get your next improvement. For example if you had 20,000 citzens and lost 4,000 leaving you with 16,000 you still would have to raise your population up to 21,000 since you already had 20 improvements before you could buy your 21st improvement. Conscience
Freds response "Its a bit more complicated than that but here goes; I don't think its because of my improvement swapping I currently have $1,956,800 in bills Gross Income of $3,833,600 Leaving a net income of $1,876,800. but what I have calculated is this; 1. my happiness level before the changes = 37.2 2. my happiness level after the changes = 64.5 3. increase in happiness = 27.3 plus $3.50 extra income from extra resources 4. total income increase should be $116.80 ie. ((27.3x $4.15)+$3.50) 5. income level before changes $255.07 6. new income level should be $371.87 which is what the calculator determined. 7. BUT CN income level is $353.47 8. a difference of $18.40 9. had 5 labor camps 10.replaced them with 4 churhes and 1 intell agency 11.cancelled cattle pigs iron and uranium and losing steel 12.replaced with gems silver spices and wine also giving jewelry 13.changed to desired govt- monarchy 14. improvement goes up +2 15.population went down 3355 16.one extra bonus for team trade "
Lyria
11.cancelled cattle pigs iron and uranium and losing steel12.replaced with gems silver spices and wine also giving jewelry There it is. Cattle and Pigs cause a nation's population to go up. Losing them would cause it to go down.
Conscience
That would alter the citizen count but not the gross income per citizen. Fred22 has requested that this thread be moved to the report a bug forum with a title income discrepancy. If I had moderator rights I would so I will just have to ask nicely. Pretty please Moderator can this thread be moved or should I post a new thread in that section?
