IRC: #genesis on coldfront

Genesis was created in June of 2007 and quickly became recognized as an alliance with honor, respect, dignity, and a well run government. From our humble beginnings, we have long valued the quality of our members over the quantity of them. Everyone who chooses to reside in Genesis has an active, closely bound family to call on, whether it be for conversation, diplomatic assistance, military protection, financial aid, or any other assistance.

Our official trading sphere is Blue. We want everyone in Genesis on the blue team, but temporary color exceptions may be obtained. We want to see our nations grow, and we will do everything necessary to achieve that goal.

Genesis offers members many opportunities for advancement in its ranks. The government consists of two levels. The upper level, the Trinity, has the utmost authority within the alliance, making for a strong and stable government, and ultimately, strong and stable members. The next level of government is the Congress, which consists of 5 seats. Congress selection is held monthly, with Ministers of Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Defence, and Recruitment being appointed after an application process, and Minister of Communications being democratically elected. Any member of Genesis in good standing may run for office.

In addition to the positions in government, Genesis also has various positions of responsibility for any interested member. We are always looking for talented people who wish to contribute to our military, diplomatic division, economics division, or any other way the people see fit.

Even for those with no ambition to get into government or hold responsibility, Genesis can still provide a warm and friendly environment in which to build friendships along with your nation. Not to mention all manner of forum games, such as the Arcade.

Genesis is not a neutral alliance, but we are not war mongers either. We currently hold binding Defense treaties with the New Polar Order and the Majestic Order of Orange Nations, both long time friends and allies of Genesis. Genesis has also recently joined BLEU (Blue Leadership Ensuring Unity, an MADP bloc for blue or mostly blue alliances). These agreements ensures our protection in case of attack, and cements our long lasting friendship with those alliances. Friendship between Genesis and other alliances is selective and special, and we will always uphold our treaties.

Should he/she fail to repay all funds, that member accepts and acknowledges that Genesis has the right to pursue said nation(regardless of any new affiliation he/she may hold) with any and all means at its disposal(which includes but is not limited to, the use of its Military), unless granted an exception by the Trinity.

Code of Conduct

Genesis expects members to be honorable and respectable. Constructive criticism and healthy debate is encouraged, with all parties maintaining a courteous tone. This applies wholly to all members of Genesis, whether interacting here, or abroad, while conversing with other members and foreign dignitaries alike.

Genesis expects members to follow all guidelines of this forum and any others visited. Those who do not may be warned (at moderator's discretion) or banned depending on the severity of the offense. A ban will result in expulsion from the alliance.

Genesis expects members to defend fellow members and our allies. If ordered to participate in a war, it is expected that the members will fight in the war. Battle reports are to be reported in a timely manner to the appropriate authority.

If a member of Genesis violates this simple code the Trinity will have the authority to dictate the consequences for breaching these terms. The punishment will be based on the individual case and will be handed out as the Trinity sees fit.
