The Imperial Armaments Conglomerate

Recommended Posts

Since the founding of the Imperium, home-based companies have provided the finest of equipment to the troops of the Imperium, though their sales have not extended to other nations except by Throne order. Now the combined manufacturers of the Imperial Armaments Conglomerate (a loose grouping of the major arms manufacturers, which are still individual companies but joined the Conglomerate to simplify international sales) offer some of their best military equipment for foreign use.

It is ambidextrous, with the selection switch being a simple job of pulling it free of the housing, reversing it, and switching it to the opposite side. The rifle has ejection ports on both sides, the only thing required to switch from "Left" to "Right" configuration is to lock one of the ejection ports in place and flipping a switch just to the rear of the top RIS rail on top of the rifle from "L" to "R" or vice versa. It accepts 15, 20, and 30 round box magazines, and is capable of taking 50-100 round drum as well for a support weapon role.

Projectiles

There are several different projectiles for the Mk-118. Note that since the Mk-118 is NOT one-shot weapon, multiple rockets can be fired from a single weapon without need of constant new complete systems, as in the AT4.

HEDP 502 (High Explosive Dual Purpose)
Per unit: ID $500
For use against bunkers, buildings, enemy personnel in the open and light armor. The projectile can be set to detonate on impact or with a slight delayed detonation. The heavier nose cap allows the HEDP projectile to penetrate light walls or windows and then explode, or "skipped" off the ground for an air-burst. For use against light armor, there is a smaller cone HEAT warhead with 150 mm (5.9 inches) of penetration against RHA.

HP (High Penetration)
Per unit: ID $750
Extra high penetration ability (up to 500 mm (19.7 inches) to 600 mm (23.6 inches) of RHA.)

AST (Anti Structure Tandem-warheads)
Per unit: ID $400
Designed for urban warfare where a projectile heavier than the HEDP AT4 is needed. Two warheads, first one a HEAT with a shallow cone resulting in less penetration but a wider hole, and a second follow through high-blast warhead. It has two settings: one for destroying bunkers and one for mouse holing a building wall for combat entry.

M-562 HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank)
Per unit: ID $300
The M-562 HEAT can penetrate up to 420 mm (16.5 inches) of RHA with beyond-armour effect.

M888 (Bunker Busting)
Per unit: ID $500
A version of the standard HEAT projectile is replaced with the bunker busting warhead developed for the SMAW.

M1200 (130mm Frontal Engagement Version)
Per unit: ID $1000
A tandem charge 130-mm version (Straslauer AT 12) that would be able to penetrate the front armor of any modern main battle tank. (1-1.2m RHA)

Cost per Unit: ID $3500
