In no time, traders from Hethnamark and Vikings started showing up with many goods to sell. Some had gone as far as to bring cruise missiles, while the most moderate ones had limited themselves to bringing Leopard IV MBTs, still with Germanic Union insignia, some even fresh out of the factories which worked until the last say. In fact, Norway's harbors were more or less flooded by these guys.

Some of the weapon and gear had once belonged to England, but anyone selling lower quality, cheaper items didn't even bother coming along for this.

There'd probably be enough to equip the whole nation and then more...

Oslo, Norway - With Viking ships filling Norwegian ports many ventured down to the docklands to witness the arrival of the trading fleets. However, government authorities were quick to crack down on the illegal purches of weapons by unlicenced civilians, resaulting in several scuffles, shootouts, deaths, arrests and a 31 hour long hostage crisis in Narvik. The Government also took advantage of the arrival of the vikings by purchesing many old germanic union weapons and equipment at good prices. This haul included almost 2,000 Leopard IV MBTs, about 120 Puma IFVs and hundreds of G3 and AN-94 Assualt Rifles.

København, Denmark - The resaults of the refferendum are in and the verdict for Denmark is a monarchy system of government. The Danes have voted to adoped a norwegian style constitution, establishing a democratic parliament and their own nobility, appointed based on both historical and present status and holdings of a family. By voting for the re-establishment of a monarchy, the Danes have also accepted Haakon VIII of Norway as king of Denmark, due to this the Norwegian government has announced that the name of the nation will be changed to the Kingdom of Norway and Denmark, or Norway-Denmark.

Oslo, Norway - The Ministry of Defence has, for the first time released a comprehensive order of battle for the Norwegian Home Guard, seen below. They have also released the number of inderviduals available for conscription into the military; 77,630 men and women. In a statement the Ministry of Defence stated that their are no plans to immediatly call up these individuals, but may choose ot do so some time in the future. This data comes as elections loom and debate has flared amoung the parties as to weather conscription will be continued or repealed, with the workers party strongly urging the repeal of the Conscription Act, 20XX. (OOC: My IC army is less then my maximum amount, so this number is what I can still recruit)

Oslo, Norway - Today, His Majesty signed into law a bill that now allows Danes to run for the Norwegian Parliament. Their was little opposition to the bill in either the Sorting or the Edlting. The law was introduced to allow Danes to have a say in the running of Norway-Denmark's foreign affairs and Defence policy, although many Norwegian nationalist factions argue that it will resault in Danes having control of many deoartments that deal with Norway exculsively, such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs (As opposed to the DSAZ MoIA opperaing exclusively in Danmark).

In other news, a splinter faction of the Norske Arbeiderparti (Norwegian Worker's Party) and the Danske Arbejderparti (Danish Worker's Party), the Nasjonale Konføderasjon av Arbeidskraft (National Confederation of Labour; a group which dissolved and merged into the NAP and DAP) is merging with the Skandinavisk Anarkistiske Føderasjon (Scandinavian Anarchist Federation), forming the NKA-SAF to contest the next elections.

In the days following the fall of the Monarchy, the National Revolutionary Council had been busy rebuilding the nation from scratch. The NRC had issued several "Revolutionary Decrees" detailing the reformation of the nation.

The First Decree delt with the changes of government. The traditional provisional system had been abandoned, in its place the nation had been divied into autonomous municipalities, known in Norwegian and Danish as kommunes run on a directly democratic basis. The Nation would be governed by the Althing, a council made up of elected delegates from each kommune. The delegates reprisent, not a political party but their constituency. The Althing will continue to be based out of Oslo like the previous government. The various facests of government will be managed by the Secretariats and its authority will be reprisented overseas by the Secretary-General and/or the Secratey of Foreign Affairs.

The Second Decree dealt with a reorganisation of the economy. The nation would adopt a market socialist system. There would be a market, much like under capitalist regimes, except that all businesses would be owned and democratically run by thoes who worked in them, will all profits being distributed equally. The decree stated that all people would be able to retain their current wealth, guaranteeing that it would not be confiscated and redistributed.

The Third Decree dealt with the Royal Defence Force. It was officialy disbanned, however, current units of the Air Force, Army and Navy that defected to the rebels, as well as rebel militia, would keep their weapons and act as a temporary defence force until a more permament one could be established.

Elections for each of the 530 kommunes have been completed, in the coming days the Althing would hold their first meetings and elect the secrataries of the various depatments. The NRC has also orderd the reformation of a professional military for the Federation. The Scandinavian Armed Forces is divided into four branches; The Scandinavian Army its sub-branch the Scandinavian Militia, the Scandinavian Air Force, the Scandinavian Navy and its sub-branch, the Scandinavian Naval Infantry. Jørn Landvik, former General in the RNDF has been appointed Feltmarskalk of the SAF and been charged with getting it up and running.

After recent political turmoil in the Federation, the Althing was forced to dissolve, resulting in a referendum on the nation’s future. Since the joining of Sweden and Hethnamark, there had been growing support in the federation for the union of all of Scandinavia. In the referendum, 72% voted in favour of joining Hethnamark, while 21% voted to return the monarchy to power. The remaining votes were split between living in anarchy and “none of the above”. Government officials are currently working with the Hethnamark in integrating the Federation into the Mark.

OOC: Damn, you were a good neighbor

IC:

"Sverige-Hethnamark will, as bound by our treaty with Norway-Denmark, continue to protect not only the country but the regions and the people. At the same time, we will make sure that our authorities evaluate the polls and referenda issued throughout these zones. Depending on the outcome, we will or will not annex the zones, but we will Protect them no matter the cost, that is for sure, and we will make sure that Law, Order, and all Services continue to be available to all the population. Our Royal Family will meet with the Norwiegan Royalty to try to see if there may be a means through which all parties can be reasonably pleased." - Dr. Thordarsson
