  1. Ya, that's one of the only things I thought it could be. I just don't think there's many people from my city who play CN, but I could be wrong.. *shrug*. I know my IP hasn't changed in at least 3 months though. However, I don't know how far back this supposed violation goes. I would have thought it would be something recent. I can't imagine someone guessed my password, but that's the only other explanation I can think of.
  2. I would like to start this post off by saying this is a question (or a couple questions), and not an appeal. I logged into my email the other day to find that my nation had been deleted. The reason was: "You have violated the Cyber Nations Terms & Conditions by using more than one nation" So my question is, if you wouldn't mind answering, why are there no "in-game action" appeals? Is it the sheer volume of people who try to cheat and then whine and give excuses for losing their accounts? or is it a physical constraint issue? (ie once a nation is deleted it physically can't be restored because you don't have the ability) The reason I ask is because I have honestly never had another account (and yes, I realize you probably hear that from everyone). I'm wondering what the other nation I'm accused of having was and/or what the IP address that logged into multiple accounts was. I don't have anyone else on my LAN, I've only ever logged into my nation from my home connection. I account sitted someone's account for a few days over a year ago after going through the proper channels (ie posted & approved in advance on this forum), and I created an account on CN Tourney edition (which I didn't think counted as a second account on regular CN). So it's frustrating to lose a year+ old account on something I didn't do. The reason I think it would be nice if appeals were available is because occasionally mistakes ARE made. I'm proof of that. The only thing I can think of is that my ISP changed my IP (as it does every 6 months or so) and another player in my city happened to get mine or vice versa... I dunno though, that seems like a long shot. Maybe someone hacked my account password (I'd be interested to know if any IP's other than my own ever logged into my account). The funny thing is, if I'd wanted to create a second nation, I'd have just done it at work on a different IP. Different login times, different activity times, no inter-relation between accounts and nobody would be the wiser. But honestly, I don't see the point and I hate cheaters in ANY game - plus one account was more than enough for me anyway. So, I'll finish this post off by saying, if you don't believe me when I say I didn't have multiple nations, let me ask this: Place yourself in my shoes. Let's say you had YOUR account deleted and knew you had never violated the TOS (speaking of which, I actually READ the thing! lol), what would you do, and how would you feel? I guess by not allowing appeals for in-game actions you are effectively saying, "Whether you cheated or not, your account is gone and we couldn't care less. Sucks to be you". Although, perhaps that is exactly what you're going for, but I hope not. Unfortunately, I suppose this is one of those "too bad, so sad" dealies. As an old buddy of mine used to say, "The #1 rule in life is that life is not fair". In any event, thank you for your time. Mike
  3. Hey, I got an event the other day, and on the page that described it and offered options it said it lasts 5 days or a week (I forget which). However, when I just checked my events page, it shows it Event Date: 6/16/2008 and Event Expiration: 7/16/2008 which is a full month. Did I misread the duration on the event description page or is something wrong? Do different events have different durations? Thanks.
  4. hmm, I should start saving such that day 19 = day 182 for me then. That'll be enough buffer
  5. Anyone know how 6 month anniversary is calculated? Is it a fixed # of days? or is it based on month. My nation was created on 8/31, does that mean my 6 month will be 2/29? or is it 30 days * 6? or 31 days * 6? anyone know? thanks
  6. Hey, I hope this question is in the appropriate place (I spent a good 30 mins reading through all stickied threads in this and the moderator forum. It's like searching for a needled in a haystack. You guys need a "coles notes" sticky or something, lol) Anyway, here's what I'm wondering, best asked using an example: Suppose we have player X and player Y. Each owns a nation, both players are not related and never share computers or networks or anything like that. Let's say X deletes or has their nation deleted. Can Y give their nation to X (permanently), and then subsequently create a new nation? (New rulor/login/nation) Is this allowed? Assuming of course that X and Y never trade/aid with eachother, and Y never logs back into his/her original account? Thanks
  7. Hey guys, can someone clear up the details surrounding deletion due to inactivity? Is it an automatic thing? I've heard that your nation is deleted at the end of the 20th day of inactivity. I was hoping someone would know what the details are, because I want to hold off collecting as long as I can but don't want to risk deletion Thanks!
  8. Ok, sounds good. I think we'll be up to 1m NS soon enough, and then I'll get back to ya
