Adding my name to this fine target list.
I was the LUEnited Nations Minister of Trade. And you were the only one who didn't disappear on us after getting the job
-
Also, the Denial jokes were old about a year ago. You should come up with some other jokes based on a few of our former identities to keep it fresh.
Edit: One of our nations has wang in it's name. Maybe Vanguard SUCKS TEH WANG!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!
It's as though two years never went by
Seriously, guys, big bad LUE is gone. There's a handful of former members in quite a few alliances, and none of them have done anything that can be seen as a continuation of LUE. Vanguard is no exception. Isn't it ironic that the people who cling to the ghost of LUE are the ones who wanted it gone the most?

This 'war always happens in summer' thing needs to take a rest. GW2: January. GW3: March. UjW: September. Polar/Hyperion war: August. That's 1 of 4, and the least 'great' of the four at that.
GW1 was in July, and GW3 was pretty much a continuation of GW2, since the issue hadn't been resolved the first time. My general "watch out for war" times are summer and winter, when people are most likely to be away from work or school and wind up on CN.

Stop running away )):
You know you want to.
-
Yeah, they certainly were more fun.
Weren't you in LUEn, Marcus?
I was. Biggest drama magnet of an alliance ever
-
Three years in this hole? I'd be feeling sorry for you if my 3 year mark wasn't 4 days away
Glad to see there are still people who remember the "old days." Things seemed more dynamic and unpredictable back then.
-
I understand, sadly we can't give this feature to everyone. Maybe you can be the next sanctioned alliance B)
I wish. This is what I meant by "small alliances that don't have a chance." Vanguard's got a higher average NS than any sanctioned alliance, but only 64 members
But this is me just wanting to make another alliance tag I've gotten a lot better since the last one.
-
I just wanted to know why it had to be a reward and not a normal feature.
-
Except everyone would have different tags, a minimum number of members/minimum position in the world could be worked into the equation to account for so many significant alliances, many smaller alliances work just as hard or harder to achieve their success but will never be sanctioned due to low member count, and the whole sanction process, in my opinion, is an outdated relic of when we only had 10 major alliances.
-
Why only sanctioned alliances? Since we've moved forums, there has been an explosion in small and medium alliances, as well as a slight drop in the member count of the really large alliances. It just doesn't look right for a small percentage to have tags.
-
Just for a test, I input an image url as my alliance. You can see the tag if you have Text To Image installed.
-
Is there a way to display a tag based on the alliance name we put in our profiles?
-
I remember making the LUE tag. The border and shine layer were colored freehand.
I was wondering why we don't have fancy masks like that here. Figured it was too much effort maintaining the user groups.
-
I remember this as well. Every time you rejected a version of his apology, he became more angry. And then we killed LUE. It's too bad the folks who are top dog right now can't learn from the past, listen to the elder player, and remember what happens to those who abuse their (temporary) power.
They have. NPO was very effective in modifying its foreign policy, and is doing well because of it. They've long been making sure not to alienate all their allies at the same time.
-
Well, it was fun. Glad to see the diplomatic process hasn't failed us yet.
o/ Vanguard
o/ Legion
o/ Peace!
-
I am sure Vanguard was very aware that by declaring on Legion they were declaring on the entire bloc thus pretty much declaring on everyone including by strange twist of paths from the purple bloc to Q to One Vision and thus on Echelon. But they wanted to have some fun thus they are.
Wow. Didn't know a defensive war via MDP could do all that.

Most Dominant AA ever at a specific point in CN History: FAN
Overall Continued Dominance: NPO
Outstanding Leadership/Organization: NAAC
Sounds about right
-
Looks like GPA is pretty high up there. Apart from some internal drama a while back, do they have any reason for being attacked? And what's with the Marios on GPA flags I've been seeing?
-
Much love to a fellow orange sphere alliance.
-
That is the funniest thing I've seen in a while
*Sirus Griffon II sigs
Also, voted for NPO, just for fun
Good to know someone feels I'm funny. Your comment will make me more active on these boards.
-
NPO. They will fall as soon as us Glorious Revolutionaries make our strike. Lord Walford and General Farung will lead us to victory!
NPO is like a weird jack-in-the-box. Every time you try to smack it down, it pops up as scary as ever. Trust me, we've tried

It's bullying if you rub it in, or if you fell pleasure at someone else's frustration. Otherwise, it's just a part of the environment. If you do, back away from your monitor slowly. The sunlight will do you good.
-
And the internets wish you good luck
-
LUE, with NAAC as a close second. NAAC were good buddies, but LUE was like home on the internet. I'm still gaming with them in Astro Empires.

Anyone actually in /b/ still here?
I was in during GW3, but they kind of slipped out from under me on April 1st
