That'd be unbalanced unless the nation you're attacking boasts a ABM system. Besides, IIRC the USNs Ohio-class nuke subs only have 26 nuclear devices on board.

IIRC that's the Ageis-class Cruisers in the US Navy. I might be wrong, though. Also, historically, destroyers were used for raiding and as escorts for anything up to a Battleship or Carrier, as well as anti-sub duty. (The USN and the RN becoming extremely proficient at sinking German subs late in WW2) Just putting this out.
