I see this as nothing more than Shovel finally have a tiny reason to finally have a chance at attacking Czerwony. Seriously Shovel, let the grudge go, it's in the past, grow up a little.

OPP = SSSW18, VA, FUC, SDI, DefCon and 64D
You ahve a few, but not all of them.
-
Seriously, enough is enough. Tigers or not, war is war, and OPP is bearing down upon you.

Let us bring swift anarchies to all opponents, and keep it civil please

A bloc flag that just happens to be a TPF's flag with a border.
Ways to know you're a troll
1) You ghost an alliance and talk trash to others behind their good name
2) Your name is Weiss von Toten
-
o/ DefCon, may your anarchies be swift and merciful.

I still am lost on why I wasn't told this would be posted. I shall have to make sure Jay "loses" his beer at the next outing. I am sure one of you LOST guys can't help with that

Go get 'em. Sad to see these things happen.

o/ BAM!
You got a great protector, I should know

Reading that made my brain hurt... So is his nation dead yet?

Glad to see this solved. Good luck AE. Things are already looking up. I expected a bigger list though, with the whoel majority of the alliance supporting and all

Oh in a manner of speaking they did vote. What remains to be seen is if this is a vote to violent overthrow by the minority or a move to oust the government via violence by the majority.
Personally I see this all as a welcome addition to the game.
/o hail violent overthrows.
I don't see it, I think your logic is twisted and that was a waste of a post... Violent other throws won't make anyone like your alliance. Not for a very long time at least.

Section V: Amendments
Any member may create a discussion regarding a potential charter amendment for the whole alliance to discuss. After the discussion the Triumvirate and Ministry will vote on the amendment, if it passes the alliance, as a whole, will vote on the amendment, a majority vote is required for it to pass.
So royalty's point about the amendments put up STILL have to be voted by the whole alliance, so they result to war because they do not think the entire alliance would vote on this? Also
Article 1: The TriumvirateThe Triumvirate are responsible for decision making in the alliance (excluding charter amendments). The decision to go to war requires a unanimous vote from the Triumvirs, while all other decisions require a simple 2/3 majority.
The removal of Triumvir requires a unanimous vote from the remaining two, or a unanimous vote from the Ministry.
Upon the retirement or removal of a Triumvir, members will have 24 hours to nominate themselves to take over as Triumvir (a Minister must step down before becoming a Triumvir), after which there will be an alliance wide vote to decide the replacement.
Right there, the ministry can do this. So I ask again, why resort to war, Royalty, to try and solve this?
-
entirely different. ssw18 or whatever their called canceled on AE, both couped and coupee, when AE needs them most
Correction... We did not cancel we are suspending the treaty until this is resolved, as we will also not recognize a new government that has never shown any form of knowledge on running an alliance such as AE.
-
My point exactly. Why resort to war so fast? Reelect people, and if they don't like the Tri. then they can vote them out, then guess what, if they attack you for it, you have people that will support your decision, and will help you deal with it. A lot simplier and less blood shed.
-
I don't. It simply seems like you rather are leaving out the possibility that the people of AE might support this coup.
The only one who should have any involvement is Echelon and Tela. I can understand suspending a treaty until the dust settles... But then vowing to only restore it if the coup fails seems like a gross violation of AE's sovereignty. This stuff is something I've opposed for a long time. Having initiated a coup once myself a very long time ago, I understand that sometimes they are indeed for the better.
And all I am saying is that by talking to Royalty on IRC and seeing the posts here, they are full of holes and accusations. I also know quite a few people in AE, and I believe I see that if they did not like the government, they can do like The Desert Fox says, and leave. A civil war between an alliance never helps the situation. The charter states that triumvirate can be removed by vote. Then so be it, but if that couldn't happen and it resulted in war for it to be attempted, then the majority of the people that would have voted them out, obviously didn't, so they change it to more drastic means.
-
I have never seen you around in AE Neforatu either. So I could ask you the same question!
Most of the day in IRC, since, let's say, I have been on IRC. Known most of the government and even Sebastian and I are "Arch Enemies." Maybe you can say I am biased as I know the main government a little more than you think, but I can say they do their job from what I have seen, and I'd never let a treaty we made with the old government we knew and trusted stand with new people that took office by means that you are doing it.
-
in CN my opinion is democracy is the only way, else things fail.
How long have you been playing
I have noticed that democracy is actually one of the hardest ways to run an alliance. It can be done, but still kind of difficult.
-
Even when the majority supports the coup?
I'm afraid I must disagree with you on that point.
And you know the majority do how? I have never seen you around AE HoT. So how do you make this assumption?
-
That charter is actually quite good. There is a legal process for removing Triumvirs (a unanimous vote of the elected Ministers), and a clear expulsion process for those who have violated the charter (like by appointing Ministers when they are clearly to be elected ). I can't understand how AE has got itself to this position since there are legal avenues for what the 'rebels' were trying to achieve.
What these "rebels" are doing is causing a nuclear civil war inside of an alliance. I see it more as one trying to take hold of power through unnecessary means. War should not have been a factor here. Things can always go through peacefully, way before war is declared. War should be the last option. I believe it was one of these "rebels" that started a war first. So, why war if there is diplomatic means for expulsion like you pointed out?
-
I never claimed the alliance as a whole, claiming that would be silly. I would say a majority amongst active/informed players is accurate though. Obviously if you go on our channel you arent going to get any negative views since we are all banned from it.
Then please, inform me of an IRC channel or a place I can reach you, as I have seen you on these forums spreading rumors and such, and I'd like to hear your side of the story, but seeing how I have known the AE government quiet well, and never seen you, I'd say you are just trying to get power by means that are not necessary. I have never noticed anything out of the ordinary and seen the tri of AE doing perfectly well.
Hopefully this gets worked out. Good luck to you guys in AE. Also Royalty, I should block you, your replies give me a head ache.
