Officially Opened 11/28/2015 Sections: Government Rules and Regulations Membership Allegiance Decleration of War and Use of Nuclear Weapons Disciplinary Proceedure Section 1: Government Article 1: Democratic Government Nations within the alliance Independent are not to be ruled by anyone in times of peace. In times of war the president, vice president, and head of military are to assign you to people to attack. If we are brought to war to help one of our allies the same rule applies as us being in wartime. The war flag will be flow in these times. In times of peace the head of internal affairs will manage trade deals and tech sells/buys. Decisions during peace time will be made democratically. Whenever there is something important to vote on it will be created in a poll in the voting room and members will have only 24 hours to place their vote. If a members vote is not placed within the 24 hours his/her vote will not be counted and the alliance will move on with the winning number of votes. Although the president can make executive decisions without consulting any of his counterparts if he deems it to be an emergency. Article 2: Presidents job The president's job is to manage the alliance. He is to make sure everything is running smoothly and that the alliance is upholding the Charter that was written. The president is to lead the voting process and make executive decisions only to protect the alliance security. Article 3: Vice Presidents job The vice presidents job is to assist the president in anything he needs. The vice president is to also oversee foreign relations. The vice president will go out and be the official representative of Independent. The vice president is to take over if the president is unable to for a period of time and is also the heir to the presidency. Article 4: Head of Military: The head of military is to run any military actions. He/She is to work with the vice president with foreign relations and KEEP the Independent alliance at peace. If war is to be declared he is to be in charge of the voting process and will report it to the president. He will assign nations in Independent other nations to attack in an educated manner. Article 5: Openings in Government: All high government positions are decided by the president then voted on by the alliance to approve. Yet, the president does have power to veto the approval and accept the member if he sees fit. Section 2: Rules and regulations All tech deals must be completed as agreed upon by all parties involved. All Disciples are required to follow the wonder outline. All Disciples must be on the red team. Any Disciple posts on the CN forums must be respectful of those involved. Voting is not forced Section 3: Membership Article 1: Privilege of Membership Getting a membership to Independent is a privilege and should be treated as such. All members are required to follow Independent rules and regulations as well as stay active on the forums to maintain their membership. Article 2: Rights as a Member All members are guaranteed the right to protection provided by fellow alliance members and allies. If the member needs protection due to their own action which breaks any DOA rules or regulations, this right is null and void. Every member has the right to take part in all programs ran by the alliance as long as they meet the program's set requirements. All members are guaranteed the right to express their opinions, whether positive or negative about the alliance's inner and outer workings so long as they do so in a respectful manner. Name calling or use of abusive language makes this right null and void. Any member accused of breaking any rules or regulations has the right to defend themselves before the President before receiving any disciplinary actions. Section 4: Allegiance Article 1: Allies All allies are to be treated as if they are one and the same as Independent. The well being of their nations is just as important as the well being of our own. If called upon, Independent will go to war to defend an ally as if Independent itself has been declared upon. Independent promises to keep in close contact with their allies and work to build a friendly and long lasting relationship at all times. Section 5: Declaration and Execution of War Article 1: Acceptable Reasons Attacks made against a Nation with the opposing alliance refusing to resolve the issue peacefully. An alliance poses itself as a threat to Independent's sovereignty over its own nations. A nation is caught sending spies to a nation with the approval of their alliance's government. An alliance is caught actively poaching Independent members. A rogue nation has declared on a Independent Nation. Article 2: Approval of War Nations do not have to be 'approved' to go to war but it does have to be reported in order for there be an opportunity to receive help and also to see if the reason for war is justified and doesn't pose a threat to Independent or its allies. Article 3: Nukes Must never be used unless approved by president because it can cause problems within the alliance as a whole. Section 6: Discipline Article 1: Minor Infractions All minor infractions will be handled with a warning. In the event that a minor infraction is committed twice by the same member, (even if they are not the same infraction) the consequences may be those of a moderate infraction. Article 2: Moderate Infraction A moderate infraction will be handled with a warning and a possible suspension from participating in any alliance backed programs. It could also result with a suspension from the message boards. In the event that a moderate infraction is committed twice by the same member, (even if they are not the same infraction) the consequences may be those of a severe infraction. Article 3: Severe Infraction Severe infractions will result in removal from the alliance and possibly an attack, depending on what the consequences were of your infraction.
