    He had no reason to think anything was guaranteed in terms of a resolution, I would accept that. He DID have reason to expect you to refrain from launching new attacks while the terms were being considered, however. That third war appears to have been a deliberate escalation and provocation.

     

    I have known Meth a long time. He is excitable, and he sometimes has a unique perspective, but I have never had any reason to question his honesty.

     

    I have said already I find his acceptance of Stonewall regrettable. But you act like he knew what he was getting when he clearly did not!

     

    Why did you let him go unmolested for 2 weeks prior to this? A lot of people would have seen the dates and believe it when told that it was settled just because of that.

     

    You talk about choices, and it's true, Methrage made several that I personally do not approve of. But Kashmir had plenty of choices too. Kashmir could have tried to keep this guy at war so that his status as an enemy of Kashmir was apparent. Once they found their target accepted by an alliance, they could have taken diplomacy seriously here and pursued it in good faith. If you had been pursuing it in good faith, there was absolutely no reason at all to launch that third war, less than 24 hours after he gets his first warning that there is trouble, while he is waiting to hear an official response!

    Two weeks? Where do you get that number from? I had literally just come out of nuclear anarchy via Stonewall about 3-4 days before this all started. I declared my revenge war on him the 2nd. He then declared war on Rey the 15th. That's much less than 2 weeks after our war ended.

     

    At no point did we say the attacks on Stoney would stop. We said we would discuss things but that until a decision was reached Stoney would see no peace. I was there. I read the threads. Just because Methrage suffers from a strange condition where he only reads what he wants to read doesn't make it true. You're a smart guy I know you can figure out who's right in this. If he had just said "LOL no let's fight" I think he'd get a lot more respect from us (at least from me) than his feeble attempts at justifying it.

    He literally had no reason to believe that it was in any way guaranteed. I've no clue why you're taking anything he says at face value as it's been proven again and again in every thread since this brouhaha started that he's more full of !@#$ than the sewers after a Taco Bell convention that served authentic Mexican water. Meth is less reliable a source for information than a drunken homeless man who sings everything he says.
     

    He had many choices. He could have chosen not to accept a nuclear rogue into his ranks. He could have chosen to actually check his applicants war history. He could have chosen to put his vendetta against Rey on hiatus until he found a less insane hitman or until we finished with stoney. The man had a million choices and he settled for the stupidest option.

    What the hell do you think we were doing when we attacked Stoney? He made it quite clear he wasn't finished messing with us. So instead of letting him get to a point he could actually cause us damage we attacked him. How high are you right now?

    Seriously though dude these are the kinda questions you ask your alliance mates not the gen pop. Most of us hover above the line between smartasses and complete jerks. I'm sure someone in your alliance can fill you in on their warchest requirements.

     

    What's IRC

    IRC is the chat client used by the alliances here to communicate. Just download mIRC or something and your alliance forums should have the server/channel information.

    You guys were protecting Rey, he was an Enemy of Nexus. That is really all there is to it. There is no point to make, other than if you're going to protect Rey; there will be war.

    Starting already? You know full well we just wanted stoneys head. Helping out Rey was just a happy side effect not the reason. You're just being willfully ignorant now. At least I hope you're not really this stupid. Not that it matters now. You escallated this from taking care of a rogue to a "full-scale" war.

     

    Hmmm... Maybe you really ARE that stupid.

    I offered you guys large sums of money to let him go, when it was made clear you wanted to attack him instead; I offered large sums to delay his punishment. When you guys didn't want that, I even allowed you guys to continue your 2 wars against him and we seemingly had an agreement. Then suddenly you ignore negotiations and do something in complete contradiction. You messed up.

    You accepted stoney into your alliance and insisted on keeping him even after we explained all the trouble he caused. Yet we're the bad guys? I would love to have some of what you are smoking. You can't pay the prison to let you out early if you murder someone. Bribery doesn't work on us. You can't paint us as the bad guys here. You're the one harboring a fugitive. You're the one escalating things. You're the one who doesn't seem to understand why we're upset. I get it. You don't like Neo Uruk for whatever reason. You've allowed your hatred for one guy to cause you to get in over your head and now you feel you have to save face. Just admit you made an oopsie, cut him loose and walk away. Or don't and suffer the consequences. We're not the ones looking for a war. We just want stoney to pay for his crimes against us. After that we don't really give two squirts of piss what he does.

    This is true and I urge you Kashmiri to listen to him. I may not come in 100% on your side, but you have my symapthy, and I would much rather negotiate than fight (admittedly, only because of the stonewall14 connection.)

     

     

    It is  a crappy situation, absolutely. To be fair, at the absolute minimum, Kashmir needs to give Methrage as much time as they took themselves to understand what they were dealing with. So how long did serial aid-scammer/deserter stonewall14 shelter on the Kashmir AA?

     

    Inquiring minds want to know.

    So far as I know we were unaware of his rampant douchebaggery. Unlike methrage we didn't have anyone teling us he was a mistake. He'd have never gotten as far as he did in the alliance had we known his history. Then again I've only been back for a few months. You'd have to ask someone else. Doesn't really matter IMO since we are the victims here. He went all derpity doo on us, stole massive amounts of funds and nuked several of our members unprovoked including myself. Every bomb dropped on his head is well deserved. Anyone defending him is equally guilty at this point. While i'd like to see a peaceful solution for everyone other than stonewall certain peoples egos don't seem to be compatable with that.

    Sigrun as long as I've been here you've been a respectable fella. I can understand your wanting to pay a debt you owe. I'm the same way. But at the same time you should try to empathise with our POV. He was our what most would call MoD then went crazy and went all nuke happy. Methrage then attempted to shelter him under his AA while we were comtemplating our next move. It's a crappy situation for everyone involved.

     

    Methrage, you may not have known what a sleezy guy stonewall is when you decided to use him to settle your vendetta against Neo Uruk. By now though you know full well what kind of bollocks he's pullled and that we are fully within our rights to go after him. You need to pull your head out of your rectum and realize he's using you much like he used us. Personally I'm not the warring type. I know, some kasmiri I am eh? But stoney deserves everything we are sending his way and then some for the actions he's pulled against us. You should see that he's simply not worth the trouble and cut him loose. By protecting him you're just announcing that your alliance is nothing but a haven for rogues and crooks. You can be better than this.

    It's about time you nuked me.  :awesome:  You promised me one like two weeks ago when all this started and didn't deliver. I was beginning to think you were going to stand me up.
