1) Molon Labe and Valhalla recognize that even among good friends, each party shall remain sovereign.

2) A. Should Molon Labe be attacked, Valhalla agrees that in the spirit of friendship and honor to raid the western shores of the attacking party unless said attack on Molon Labe is in retaliation for Molon Labe attacking another sovereign alliance in which case Valhalla retains the choice of raiding said western shore or not.
B. Should Valhalla be attacked, Molon Labe agrees that in the spirit of friendship and honor to put much lead downrange unless said attack on Valhalla is in retaliation for Valhalla attacking another sovereign alliance in which case Molon Labe retains the choice of expending some ammo or not.

3) A. If Molon Labe finds the need to initiate war on a sovereign alliance, Valhalla may or may not send a few ships along as well.
B. If Valhalla wants to blow someone's head off, Molon Labe may take a few pot shots, or may simply chill with some beer and popcorn.

4) If Molon Labe or Valhalla have information about SHTF they better well share it or they may have to find their own foxhole on the big day.

5) Molon Labe and Valhalla can request military aid from each other.

6) Molon Labe agrees to use proper trigger control and Valhalla promises Molon Labe's western shores are off limits. If a member of either alliance has a "here hold my beer" moment, they shall have 24 hours to stand down and pay the bar tab or both alliances agree to expel the member and exercise some liberal lead poisoning.

7) If either alliance wants out, they are obligated to grant prior notice which shall start a 15 day divorce proceeding, or else be considered a low down dirty hornswoggler.

8) Both agree it smells like victory.

Preamble

The New Polar Order and Valhalla, in recognition of their friendship and mutual interest, hereby enter this agreement to cement our camaraderie and provide for the defense and prosperity of one another.


Article I- Sovereignty

Each signatory formally recognizes the right of each alliance to exercise ultimate internal authority in addition to possessing the right on the legitimate use of physical force, within it's own territory.


Article II- Camaraderie

The membership of each signatory commit to remain civil towards each other at all times, particularly in public channels, but also in private. The signatory alliances and their member states will treat each other with as much respect and decency as they would their own. Healthy debate, constructive criticism are to be encouraged, but both parties are expected to show tact and consideration by going through appropriate channels when addressing concerns.


Article III- Non-Aggression

No member of either signatory may participate in, support or condone military action against a member within the corresponding signatory. If a member nation of either signatory alliance is found to have done this, they will be ordered to offer peace within 24 hours.


Article IV- Espionage

Both signed alliances agree under no circumstances shall either signatory alliance engage in espionage against the other. Further, should a signatory alliance receive information that points towards a possible leak in another signatory's security, or info pertaining to the security of either alliance this information must be shared and discussed immediately.


Article V- Military and Financial Assistance

Should either signatory become the victim of a unprovoked external aggression, or internal subversion, the corresponding signatory is obligated to provide any and all assistance possible, including but not limited to military and financial means. Should either signatory initiate conflict or engage in warfare by reason of outside obligation, the corresponding signatory is strongly encouraged, but not obligated, to provide whatever assistance it deems appropriate.


Article VI- Amendments

Any amendments to this treaty must be first discussed and agreed upon by the appropriate government officials of each party, and undergo the appropriate processes.


Article VII- Withdrawl

Termination of this pact requires a 72 hours notice. This notice is required to be given firstly via private channels. The grace period may be truncated by mutual agreement of the signatories.

For many years Valhalla has considered TORN to be a friend regardless of treaties. It's as friends that we accept TORN and welcome them into our home and it's as friends that we mourn the end of their run.

TORN made this game more interesting for a while, that's something not many can lay claim to.

I'm voting no at this time, unless there's a complete lock down on new war declarations for the first week of the transition, it's just going to be a free for all of higher NS raids.

 

I like the changes, and I like that Admin is engaged where he didn't seem to care for a couple years there, but we need to know HOW this gets implemented first. This isn't TE, we don't get a clean reset every couple months.
