Yeah, I'll agree with you there. Perpetual newb-hate seems to riddle any game as there are many people out there who derive satisfaction from feeling smarter than another person's pixels.
However, I actually wonder how many of these endless hate-posters are actually in charge of alliances with more than say, 50 members. Unlike real life where if you say something offensive, the !@#$ hits the fan, here, it can be ignored to some extent. So perhaps the whole idea of this game--people who don't get to lead a country in real life having their shot is going to inevitably bring in people wanting to make a mess of things, in this case, belittling whoever they can and having them and the world being able to witness it. -
Short answer: yes.
It's been happening for... ever. -

To understand what your suggesting, alliances=nations in that an alliance functions much more like a country its self, more so then a nation functions as a territory within the alliance.

Yes, that's precisely my point. -

I've never understood the concept of an alliance having ally's. Isn't that what an alliance is? A group of nations protecting each other? But the game is what it is, flaws and all.

I suppose alliances are just 'nations' in the sociological sense and people don't get as much as a kick ordering around pixels as they do with real people. So leading a team of people against another etc. is what it's all about.
Bleh. -
If you need help on learning how to fight a war and organise your alliance's military, there are plenty of guides floating around and heaps of people who are willing to give you some advice. You should seek that help first before declaring open season on yourself.

LOL.
On another note, I didn't realise the colours were meant to be different from the colours of flags in real life. Puts to bed the aimless wondering of why such an obscure shade of blue and black was chosen I've had for the past three and a half years. -
I think CN was like that for the first week of the game. If memory serves me right, Admin in an interview said that it was meant to be color v color but alliances quickly emerged.
Just the way the wind blows... -
Heh, a pleasant read.

Defense here is mutual, blue sphere-lings.

2 months of diplomatic efforts = in vain.

People need to learn how to play politics and stop worrying about sides. The reason NPO was great at being able to do whatever they wished was due to the fact they were a diplomatic machine capable of procuring treaties and allies with ease. Without their diplomacy skills, they most likely would not have succeeded like they did pre-Karma. If leaders can play the diplomacy/political game well, the "SF/C&G/PB side" could be non-existent.

Yes, NPO were definitely kings of the diplomatic game back in the day (as they have some very smart members). But I disagree with your statement that a whole "side" could be non-existent. This game's basically about the fight between NPO and LUE (MK) since it started, kind of like 2-party politics.
Just my 2 cents. -
Keep in mind this game is approaching its fifth birthday. Five years is a long time to commit to any one game and a lot of us here have been around for most of that five years. There's no thrill in conquering new ground , making new alliances and having the passion to take over etc. Maybe there are other games that do it, but they're not political simulators.
Also, for the earlier discussion: MK are pretty damn funny with teh Mush-Qaeda and all that shiz. That has to be part of pulling in some of the crowd. -
Lies, all lies.
Krunk may be the worst CN player in history, but the ballot was still rigged.
I demand four shillings in reparations. Don't pay them and we will come knocking. -
Best of luck for the future RoK.

"BREAKING NEWS: Nothing happened, people contradict each other in "Alliance Announcements," Still nothing happened, People caught arguing over semantics..."
It'd be a rave~

You're not as dedicated to CN as I thought you were Banksy. -
Krunk has to be one of the worst Cyber Nations players I have ever seen.
The lies, the sex, the money, the fame.
Tut tut Krunk. Your days are numbered. -
Make me a Firefox/Chrome extension that's like one of those scrolling newsbars on Fox or CNN and I will love you.

I got a quote on an MCXA flag not long ago, so I could print a few off and give them out. The price to print one was $110. $%&@ that.
It's also a !@#$%* to Photoshop with. Black background+gradients in .gif format = headache. -
Oh, btw maroon sphere is united now. I know ay. Yep. Yeah it is about time. mhm. Let's see how it goes.

The MCXA v RIA battle is amazing!

Any luck?

Nope, welcome to the circle

Nobody understands what Damsky is talking about. It's always been that way, always will be that way.
On another note, treaties are useful for calculating odds of winning a bloc war.

I think what Synergy is doing is the sensible path for a bloc. Fairly small, close and versatile with its links to other blocs/large alliances. It all forms upon the idea that a small bloc will be able to work together more effectively and be less likely to rupture. But if we look at the past blocs, say WUT and Q, they all stuck together for a decent number of months. Do these small blocs really have an advantage over the larger ones in terms of longevity? I don't think so.
