  1. Wow; some nations are so dense.

    This is arguably one of the best balance in the game ever. It is suppose to have NOTHING to do with the nuclear situation. It is just that some people chose to drag this NS change into the realm of nuclear discussion. Artificially inflated NS combined with the 200% war declaration was breaking the game.

    Lets drop these moot arguments.

  2. Generally, I am in support of an remap of the nuke system;

    As CN grows, in general it becomes harder for newer nations to move into the top 5%. Its a sort of an issue with starting point; you cannot hope that a 0 day nation will catch up to a 750 day one (but the 0 day nation should not catch up anyways). The argument that you could get into the 5% is very valid, but we should give newer nations a easier path to nuclear weapons. (Clearly, I am not advocating giving more than 5% of the CN population a chance to buy nuke)

    However, I believe CN needs to adapt the LW system of nuke buying, where a very high infra and/or tech barrier [on the magnitude of 6500 infra and 1500 tech or 2000 tech] (fixed, instead of the ever increasing NS) should be used. A fixed rate of growth is incompatible with the ever increasing nuke barrier. However this system can run into major problems in the future as average NS in the game rises dramatically.

    Fun fact: average NS has doubled since GW II (for sanctioned alliances), despite numerous wars, and two NS nerfs. (Heh, this NS nerf is mild compared to the last one, it caused like 400 nations to have 49-51k NS.

  3. You are not advised to buy tech before 3000 infra minimum (4000 ideally, 5000 for GPA standards).

    You should buy the first 100-200 tech, in order to avoid the hassle if you intend to start building up on tech. My suggestion is to get 1000 more infra before you start this process. I personally started at 6000 infra, and bought my own 250 tech in one sitting.

  4. I don't think it really matters much what you start out with. It all depends on when you want to have your "golden age". If you want to have it easy in the begining go for fish and wheat for middle game lumber and marble and in late game coal and uranium.

    In any case if you want a fast growt you need to start selling tech right away. Find a good alliance that suits your needs. What alliance to choose depends on your play style. As I see it you really have two options:

    1) A large stable alliance that rarely goes to war so that you can grow your nation without being attacked

    or

    2) A medium alliance that often goes to war, the plan here is that if you do it right you can steal tech and money to make a profit.

    In either case make sure to find four tech buyers right away and sell them tech, that should give you an income of about 6 mill every month. An even better way to grow fast is to buy donations for other nations if you are willing to pay $20 you can get massive aid from the nation that you give the donation too.

    This post contains one of the worst piece of advice ever given on CN forum.

  5. Coal is trash; that is that. Lumber and Marble are useless for many people who have stopped buying infra.

    Wheat, Fish, Cattle, Iron are the only four resources in two of the three main sets (3 BG, 5 BG, and pure income). Just because Fish/Wheat is better than Cattle doesn't make it an average resource.

  6. The four premium resources that EVERY single trade set requires;

    Wheat; Fish; Cattle; Iron. Wheat/Fish is hand down the best two resources if you only get to choose two.

    Now that trade resources for balanced a bit, there are no longer really bad resources combo that would put your nation in an disadvantage against the traditional 3 BG + Uranium.

  7. 1. I applaud the destruction of unscrupulous recruiters.

    2. I strongly personally condemn the unsanctioned and unjustified attacks against innocent nations.

    3. I truly hope that only "surgical strikes" are being carried out
