I gave them the benefit of the doubt and defended them against the sling and arrows of an outraged GOONS. I do not like it when my generosity and trust is abused, and I assure you that those members and traitors of you shall reap what they have sowed. Sooner or later the consequences of their trickery will catch up with them. They cannot run from me forever.
There's "Benefit of the doubt" and "I have always respected these men". I am curious what you respected in me. What can I say, I share your narcissism some days. Was it my statement that honor has no place in war? That an alliance does not exist if it cannot levy sufficient power to force people to respect its sovereignty? Or when I called you a narcissist? I never took back any of that when I switched, just added that my loyalties lie with Jamez.
 2.
You'll get yours soon enough.
How about instead of complaining and grieving you do something about it? That's the thing I love the most about you, Rebel and people like you. You talk a lot but you never act. I may not much care for Methrage but at least he had the spirit to try and make an alliance, even if he lacked the capacity to actually lead one.
 3.
The OP made a joke announcement pretending it was from my allaince, then he does another joke announcement of merging Nexus into GOONS as he left. Clearly this is a joke thread and pointless. You could of left Nexus without pulling this stunt first, so not sure what you were trying to accomplish. Anyways this should be locked like any other joke thread in my opinion, he never had the power or means to do anything he's announced in this thread.
The greatest thing I have learned from all this, Methrage, is not simply the degree to which you are insular, not even just your hypocrisy, but that your interest is you and yourself alone. Woe befalls those who would follow your banner.
 4.
I keep forgetting to make my bed.
And this is why you never sleep.
 5.
So are we, and you had treaties with both of us. But anyways good luck Methrage on sorting this out.
We all sleep in the beds we make.
 6.
Was his trade circle already complete?
They had another original plan before it was changed up. Also, a nation in peace mode can't send aid. And last I checked Jamez had pressure being put on him by GOONS to stay that way. Methrage, you should have taken the diplomatic route.
 7.
No, you never did a vote. I see Jamez with two supporters so far, who I never trusted much anyways. You guys flew the AA but refused to help in the war or listen to any instructions.
So you never trusted me enough to work me into your trade circle and never trusted Jamez enough to make in second in command? Just because you change the name doesn't mean you change the structure of the alliance.
 8.
The difference in your analogy is whose head is on the block. I'm not even sure what MethRage is talking about. I'm definitely not a ghost and the vote was taken privately. Just like all of his decisions up until this one.
It would be this, Methrage. We're not going to announce our intentions to some man tyrant until we've organized ourselves. You've treated us as separate, why should we not do the same? Far more importantly, this reaction is indicative enough that you would have simply shut down any attempts to justly dethrone you. Far more importantly, you alone are not the alliance. No one single member is. But we are, and we are the majority.
 9.
JamezBfod has no government authority and isn't even signed up on the forum. He's a coward who hid in peace mode the whole time in Citadel and Nexus as well, he's just been ghosting the Nexus AA. This announcement is fake.
Jamez drafted the charter and set up the initial forums we used. If you take an issue with this, then either you shouldn't have agreed to the quite reasonable portion of the charter or should have considered that, as an alliance leader, your duty is to your members not to yourself.
 10. As before, I go with Jamez on this one. Methrage has continued to act without our best interests in mind. Rather than speak diplomaticly with GOONS for his membership he has decided we should all break our trades and switch from the black sphere to the brown. The name change doesn't bother me, but I take issue with what else has been done.
 11.
Then why are those puppies running away from you?
They had to speak with him.
 12. To be fair it's not just you, but work your fingers to the bone? You mentored me? What about Jamez? I think I learned more from Jamez that I did from you. What did YOU teach me? You may not have direct power but I know whose ears you have. And the scorn of the public eye? I was there in the trenches in the last war, I was part of the team that took down Rukunu! But this isn't about who you were when I joined, this is about what you and the other higher members have become. Arrogant, power hungry, and insular. As for your tech, I have a tech deal with another goon who will be getting it. But you? I don't think so. I know what that tech's going for. I'm not in the business of helping my enemies, especially ones as disrespectful and arrogant as you.
 13.
so, you've been flicking your poisoned tongues into our members' ears have you, traitor?
Lamuella, I told you. This has a lot more to do with you, the things you say, and the way you act than anything Jamez has said. You're about as close to a mad tyrant as anyone's going to get.
 14. I suppose here is as good as anywhere to say this. With Jamez gone GOONS is colder. That would be tolerable, as I agree with the GOONS take on war, but I can not stand the treatment of one of our finest members. However sudden his changing of sides it does not make the dismissal of his good works any less repugnant. In this regard I can not suffer GOONS leadership any further. I fall in line behind Jamez, and with him the Citadel.
 15.
Suddenly leaving GOONS is one thing, but this is different. Am I'm supposed to sit quiet while he openly insults and spites us in front of the community? He already blew his chance to bow out gracefully. Why does he deserve a polite farewell now?
He did a ton for us. He wasn't even that insulting when he left. Besides, GOONS. We've said far harsher words to each other before. Jamez is a good guy. I'm just saying we should treat him as he has treated us in the past, with care and the utmost respect.
 16.
I'm pretty new to GOONS, but I think most would agree with me when I say I'm sick and tired of your whining.
Seriously, not cool. It may hurt to have him just drop us like this but he's done a lot for this alliance. We don't need to drag his name through the mud.
 17. I don't know what to say. Rebel Virginia's nothing but hot air, Methrage is a narcissist, but Jamez is a good intelligent guy. I mean, yeah, he basically blind sided us but should we really be disparaging him? I don't know. That doesn't feel right to me.

 21.
I'm fairly sure I answered those two points earlier in the thread: Meth posted something which was more a rambling RoH than a rambling DoW, and intent to attack is not the same as actually attacking (as most of the world agreed in the case of the TOP/C&G front of Bipolar).
He took nations we were at war with under his 'protection' and clearly stated he was willing to do the same for the rest. That's not just intent to attack. Oh, and he pretty bluntly said "I recognize a state of war".
 22.
Wait, what? CSA made some bad calls and are deservedly at war (though hopefully you are making reasonable efforts in peace negotiations at this point), but that doesn't make them as bad as a persistent rogue. You wouldn't be 'enemy combatants', though it would provide a rock solid CB for the other side to attack you if they so chose. A good example of this is the Golden Sabres War, in which GS was declared on for providing Senate support for an enemy ... but aggressive declarations of war from One Vision were provided. The point about MDPs was not tested as GS were dropped by NPO before the war, though.
Let me rephrase, by "same level" I mean aggressive and at war, not rogues. I don't think the CSA are rogues (I don't think they're much of anything now. Zing) If something's a rock solid CB, I'm gonna go on a limb and say that it's because it's an aggressive action and they are involved in the war in the first place. You send aid, you are involved in with that nation and supporting that nation. If you support a nation at war, you are supporting their war against whoever else and thus are on their side in the conflict. Methrage has done this, as a single nation, and tried to involve himself in the wars of two different alliances (Gramlins and GOONS). He is not an alliance. He is one nation, with no respect for sovereignty. This makes him a rogue nation, likely to continue this trend of assaulting alliances. Were he actually involved in an alliance, then he would actually be restricted by the same things any alliance is restricted by. But he is not. Nothing restrains him. He will likely continue with or without public sentiment, does not need to worry about internal dissent, and has no actual defined allies. Supporters maybe, cheerleaders yes, but no one has signed a treaty with him. No alliance (Last I checked) has said "We are Methrage's buddies" and as such he is accountable to no one else. This is what a rogue nation is, accountable to no one and regularly showing aggression to alliances. A sanction levies some penalty against a rogue nation. It weakens the rogue nation and sends a message to others that they might not be accountable to some one, but they will still suffer consequences for rogue actions.
 23.
Given that it's possible to find a Uranium trade within hours on another team (or apparently simply give Rebel Virginia a call...), I'm afraid all you've done is gather a lot of criticism for your actions and prevented nothing. As for GOONS, maybe they actually thought they could get Methrage to "shut up" and things worked more like the cyberverse from whence they came. We established a long time ago that strategy never works when someone has a lot of sympathy in the Planet Bob community, and as "potential" nuke rogues go (as you claim), Methrage has considerable backing.
I don't think any of us actually want Methrage to shut up. Every time he talks it's comedy gold. We just want to deal with him like we would any rogue. That and help illuminate the hypocrisies within the community. Aiding a nation you're at war with might not be pulling the trigger, but it is giving them the gun and saying "Now keep shooting". Your money becomes their soldiers, their tanks, so on and so on. And you can't pretend you didn't know what they were going to use it for. They're at war. There's no mistaking what a nation's money will be used for when they're at war. This put the CSA on the same level as Rukunu, a rogue we've been trying to get rid of for quite a few months. When Methrage stepped in to say "I'll totally fight for you guys! Come into my alliance (And if I get some people in my alliance finally hey, win win right?)" he was throwing his support, his guns, his money into the war. He openly took an aggressive stance, and threatened (meagerly) aggressive action against GOONS nations. That we have responded to the threat of an aggressive single nation like anyone should, that is to say that we responded to a rogue nation with the force one uses against a rogue nation, isn't just understandable but to be expected. He is a rogue nation. He is a single nation (No, that one guy that briefly jumped into his alliance from CSA and then stepped back out doesn't count), taking aggressive action against alliances. That is a rogue nation. As for criticism, from who? We should care about criticism from the people who already perpetually claim all we do is evil? Their opinions aren't based on facts, nothing we will do will change it. I promise you we could send aid to every nation and swear off war and people would claim we're just propping up proxy wars. I know if we aided a nation or an alliance that another alliance was warring with we'd be considered enemy combatants and on the same side. This is because we would be. Because that action, of assisting a nation at war, is an aggressive action. aid gives them power war is all about power aid is aggressive
 24.
Methrage is only roguing on Gre. Therefore, if GOON's asked for him to be sanctioned, it's not for roguing. It's for him apparently doing very well fighting. I have uranium too, by the way.
His charts more than indicate his incapacity to do well. GOONS asked him to rogue because not only was he busy going against the grams, he was actively attempting to exert (mispercieved) power on one of our wars against people aiding a rogue. He was aiding those who aid rogues while himself being a rogue. I'm gonna say this poses a large enough threat to the black sphere as a whole to be worth sanction, one man with no particular ties taking aggressive action against alliances for indeterminable reasons beyond his own narcissism.
