This BS war has gone on long enough while everyone else watches on. People cant aid while this war of annihilation continues without it being a DoW but people can pledge aid for after the war. By pledging to help rebuild Mongols & Kaskus after this war you can show Mongols & Kaskus there is a future for them on Bob while showing PB & DH the middle finger for this act of total aggression the likes of which we haven't seen in a couple of years.

Make a pledge and when they get peace send it in your own time.

I'll get the ball rolling and pledge $54m

I don't know, really. Takes a while for things to reach fruition. My behavior is fine.

This, but also the fact that I single-handedly invested more effort in that alliance than anyone else. Not really sure why people like to downplay my achievements. Certainly wasn't like that in the thread about my departure. Though I have come under the impression that people respect the NS and not the man, which is lame, but what can you do?

There is also the fact that I haven't really "changed" in a tangible sense. I've always been an argumentative person and was arguing with a million people on here this time last year.

What on earth do you, Roq, have to do with the idea of aiding Kaskus against DH? Are you a DH/PB secret double-agent out to derail every conversation that reflects negatively on DH/PB? If so, you are doing an excellent job. There are plenty of us who would like to "give the middle finger" to those we disagree with, even if not in the way Alterego proposes, but your constant piddling on every surface to make sure we all remember your opinion and legacy (trust me we do oh engineer of DH-NPO and champion of the Roq-MK feud) is frankly counter productive. Alterego's OP is more effective at achieving what you state your purpose to be simply because he hasn't proceeded to make the entire point egocentric.

For the record, I'm not questioning your sanity. I'm questioning your methodology and maybe your sincerity. Leave other people's points alone.

It is a matter of public knowledge that we hold this policy, and becoming a matter of public knowledge that we can't enforce it ourselves, that you appear to be ignorant or defiant of it is really not my problem, it's the rest of PB's.

There you go, that makes more sense now.

Kaskus Is going to pay reps. They've already made offers to us. Offers which were in good faith, but below our acceptability level.
Is that acceptable level posted somewhere in one of the 15 topics on this war? I think that the rest of us could probably raise the money just to avoid having to read 20 more pages of this nonsense. I understand the positions of both sides, but without editorializing on either I think this has pretty much run it's course as far as public debate goes. I'll offer 3m/50/2000 to both sides just to stop.

  4. Congratulations Grey Council, you have maintained a consistent and classy position for six years and that is to your credit. Detractors of neutrality ignore that it is clearly one of the most successful FA policies of all the possibilities that this world has imagined so far. The Cult of Justitia will always support your right to exist as you choose to do so, and gladly recognizes you as an example of true commitment. On behalf of myself and my brothers, here's to six more years.

Despite how logical and straightforward this is, there's no shortage of people who are going to attack us and then be surprised we're demanding reps. The best ones are the ones that try to lawyer an excuse to get out of paying reps, like explaining how activating an oA was a defensive move.

I know, it's like when people claim attacking an entire AA is actually just a raid. It's good to know that such eLawyering, semantic BS makes us both sick...

  6. I'm not sure why anyone is pretending to be shocked by a reparations demand. No matter what anyone else thinks, myself included, GOONS has been very clear and consistent for quite some time that they charge "reps" (let's just call that a term for monetary payment for peace, no need to quibble on semantics here) to any alliance that attacks them and loses. If people have a problem with that policy, I'm sure GOONS will agree with me that the two options are 1) Not attack them, and 2) attack and win. I am also fairly certain that GOONS will agree that such a policy will remain in effect until someone successfully chooses option 2.

  7. We generally tend not to agree with peace terms that go beyond the mechanics of Digiterra, but I'm not sure that is yet at issue in this conflict you have with Kaskus. Maybe those conversations should be left for when you demand something unreasonable at the end of this conflict. Other than baiting Schatt, I don't see what CoJ's peace terms with you all have to do with anything relevant to this thread.

  8. I see no reason why an alliance cannot define the terms under which it will backstop the tech deals entered into by its members if raiding alliances think they are allowed to decide what constitutes an alliance for the purposes of raiding. I suppose it is not surprising that this group of alliances would assume the right to tell others what that their definition of sovereignty is not going to be respected.

  9. I don't know all the details that sit behind the curtain of the screenshots in the OP. For example, I don't know how bros had the information that he presented to lebubu in the captured PMs. After 38 pages of personal attacks, though, I haven't seen bros or MK deny anything but the method of attaining the intel. I haven't even seen a denial of an abuse of access. I have only seen MK and friends attack Roq and bros criticize Roq's theory of the mechanism by which he abused his access. I really wanted to believe bros as being an ethical and helpful member of the community, but if I were attacked in the same way I would deny it outright if it were false. The absence of outright denials forces me to reconsider my position.

I understand that there may be some room for criticism on both sides, but the fact that Roq may have skeletons in the closet as well does not change the fact that MK and likely bros did something extremely unsettling, even if a year ago.

Essentially what you're saying is you don't care what Rok does or has done but you wish to lay all blame on every event in history solely on MK. Alright, makes sense I suppose. This big boogey man that you've created in your head in regards to the immoral MK is just that. You've imagined it. You even admit that you're siding with Rok, without even hearing Rok's logic or their reasoning for attacking the member they've stalwartly defended as a member and former empres. Whereas starkly in contrast you've adamantly refused to even consider MK's position in this debacle. In case you've had a change of heart though: MK has always disliked KaitlinK. Our motivations for our attack on KaitlinK (OOC: are IC). MK has had strained relations and a history with Kait, and as such have those motivations to attack her nation. Personally, I have my own reasons (I think you might be familiar with them as you were witness to it. In KaitlinK offering moral/political support to Xiphosis.)

Rok has constantly made bad decision after bad decision in this affair and have become utterly indefensible to any sane and reasonable person. If I were you I'd take whatever moral or political capital I had left and save it. Because it really is wasting away in this monstrosity.
I can promise you that Schatt really doesn't care about RoK or MK in the abstract, and that this is a totally situational issue. Maybe if you had named your pretextual AA "AntiKaitlinK" instead of what you did name it, you might have a leg to stand on. Make whatever arguments you feel are necessary to justify the constant baaing of your allies, though, because I'm sure this "monstrosity" can go on for another fifty pages.

I'm starting to wonder if I could just make a bunch of semi-controversial OOC issues about myself well-known, and claim that any attacks on my nation (even if I go rogue, ghost alliances, or sit on none) are because of said OOC issues, and get a big following of people like Schattenmann saying nobody should be allowed to attack me.
If the attacks were in fact because of your semi-controversial OOC issues, I'm sure Schatt would defend even you, no matter what pretext the attacks were presented under.
