OK, I don't play this game for any big alliances or politics, instead I just play with a group of friends and we're learning our way through the game together.
The other day, I tried to raid some tech from a player. His nation was 60 days old and inactive for 10 days (and I know that doesn't necessarily mean he's inactive, but was hoping). For the war reason I included just ask for peace. My now obvious mistake was that this guy was in some Siberian Tiger alliance much bigger than me and my friends. They told me to give the guy peace, and I did.
They asked for $2.5m in reparations, which seemed a bit high and was more than I have. I told them I didn't have it, and they told me instead, I could send them the money I do have ($1m) and 100 tech on top of it, or their alliance would attack and completely destroy me. Now, is it just me, or is that, like, way more than $2.5m?
P.S. - Maybe someone here would like to buy 50 tech from me so I can pay these guys the $2.5m and not have to send over all kinds of tech? Anyone interested?
