ODN could have helped us against some of the many alliances who we were fighting. Even if they have sent only a symbolic handfull of nations against a micro such as UE , would show at least some consideration instead of just backstabing us.

You dont have idea how we consider ODN one of our closest allies. For most, even more than umbrella. I proposed way before the war to give a Spartan award to OSRavan as one of our closest friend. Thats why this is something that I, and possibly some people in Sparta will find it difficult to forgive.

The idea of hitting UE was floated around; it was something a lot of us wanted. Though admittedly I don't know how serious that was other than us general members wanting to help you guys out.

If MK, an alliance that is much smaller than ODN, can go a long way to setting up the pieces to make all that happen, then ODN should be able to do just as much. TBH, your response just shows a very naivete view of how CN works.

Why should we have? The only thing connecting Sparta to that side was an ODP between FARK and NpO (and the RIA treaty which was hastily signed just before the war broke out). I think you're giving MK way too much credit for a war focusing on TOP and IRON getting their revenge.

The problem isn't that ODN or Umbrella didn't defend Sparta or MHA. The problem is that you let the war happen in the first place. ODN as a member of CnG and Umbrella as a member of DH are both part of very influential blocs. Both alliances had a huge amount of NS. Both alliances have leadership that I believe to be competent. So there is no reason why you shouldn't have been able to say, while alliances starting acting as if that war was going to happen, "This war you guys are starting to talk is going to end up in our direct allies getting rolled, and so its not going to happen" ODN and Umbrella combined in making such a thing clear should have the clout to make that happen. You both were big alliances strong alliances that should be able to project power. Instead both Umbrella and ODN showed no will to turn around the plans being made by MK and others and instead went along with plans being made that led to their allies being rolled. I don't blame you for not defending Sparta, or for Umbrella not defending Sparta and MHA. I do however blame you for the plans you made.

You're right, Sparta, I am sorry we couldn't stop IRON and TOP from declaring war on NpO, or RIA from signing a treaty with NpO, or FARK from signing a treaty with NpO and declaring on NPO. There. I hope we can all be friends again.

Speaking as Vice Regent of Valhalla here for a moment...

We did however jump right in the middle of Bye-polar for the express purpose of kicking off the real festivities. When have you ever done that?

That said, we've absolutely no interest in this war. MK and their loyal toadies in TOP ran off to hit CSN as fast as they could so they couldn't possibly be set up opposing LSF and CnG. Does Nor need their help to handle LSF, nah, but it was still a dick move. I've been quite vocal in speaking with people that I saw all actions to support MK in this war was just support for MK's dick move on NoR.

How is that a dick move to NoR? it made sure that NoR would get a fair shot at LSF, kept NoR from taking heavy losses and avoided a giant headache. The only thing it stopped was valhalla and friends from declaring on whoever defended LSF. Is that what you're truly sore about?

It really wouldn't be mutually exclusive even if that was the case. This is the problem with your post and Chax's.

"No one is a lapdog unless they're on the other side, and especially if their names are Legion and Invicta."

The idea that there aren't predominant political actors that whip the rest of their spheres in line is stupid and there have always been satellite alliances that are passive.

ODN's showing is surprisingly low in this poll.

Both sides are comprised of several close knit alliances. It doesn't mean either are lapdogs, but if they're going to keep throwing it out there then I might as well point out an example of it on their end. Also, I wasn't talking about Legion or Invicta at all, I have no problem with either of them.
